One of my favorite local pizza places. We come here for lunch during the week almost monthly. The staff and pies are always great. The pizza is NY style which I prefer. Between two of us, we always order two large pizzas so we have leftovers to take home. It looks crazy on our little 2-top table, but we make it work. It was empty when we went in, which makes sense since it was an odd lunch time but the ambiance was still good. The service was fast! The mozzarella sticks were the best part of our meal, if you get anything from here get the mozzarella sticks. The pizza was ok, I understand what the other reviews mean by a soggy crust. I wouldn't say it's soggy, but it's definitely very soft and weak. Oftentimes my pizza would break off from the crust, if that makes sense. I Uber eats a small meat pizza with spicy honey sauce. It came still piping hot, including the sauce! There were 6 slices each slice was huge at least for me who is used to eating thin crust. To start with the good. The food was actually pretty tasty. I got the Italian nachos since it seemed like something different. I enjoyed the fried pasta with the toppings on top. However, the jalepenos threw me off. It took away from the Italian flavors and I thought just the banana peppers would be better. The server was friendly once I got seated. To the bad now. Dinner was a spicy chicken pasta dish served with two soft garlic breadsticks. Portion size was great, good flavors, not drowning in sauce. Lunch was a chicken tuscon salad. Had a lot of chicken on top in strips. Salad was wonderful, though I wish the bowl itself was larger to hold the actual salad. Service was bright and cheerful and you can pay at the table. What an incredible visit to Goodfellas Woodfired Pizza we had on a recent Saturday evening. We were meeting friends to have dinner before attending a musical at local high school. Our friends lived in The Colony and were frequents diners at Goodfellas. We were not led wrong; our visit was fantastic. First off, Goodfellas has an extensive menu. Wow, everything is on it when it comes to Italian food. We had a hard time making a decision. While we were "surfing" the menu, we ordered a couple of appetizers, Classic Italian meatballs and Garlic Bread. I apologize for not grabbing a photo of the platters, but everyone dug in. Both of the appetizers were so delicious. The meatballs had an incredible texture, so moist and tender. My wife and I finally decided on our entrees. She decided to order the "Chicken Goodfella's." A beautifully constructed entree of fresh chicken breast sautéed with scallions, shallots, garlic, white wine & cream and tossed with penne pasta. I opted for the Stuffed Rigatoni with Chicken and Artichokes. The entree consisted of stuffed rigatoni tossed with sautéed diced chicken breast & oven roasted Artichokes sundried tomatoes in a Gorgonzola cream sauce. Service was very relaxed which gave us time to visit with our dear friends. After short wait, our entrees were delivered to our table piping hot. Oh, my goodness, both of our entrees were so delicious and ample. We could have easily shared one of the entrees. The sauces were rich, creamy and decadent. Goodfellas Pizza has always had amazing food. The pizza, pasta, appetizers and salads are consistently delicious. That part has never been an issue. Unfortunately the service is where things fall short. Tonight we tried to get a table and were told by the hostess that they did not have room for us. Instead of being welcomed and given the option to wait, we were simply turned away. We ended up going to Hideaway Pizza instead. It is disappointing because a simple approach could have completely changed our experience. Something along the lines of "Thank you for coming in, we have a bit of a wait this evening but we will get you seated as soon as possible. Can we offer you something to drink while you wait?" That is hospitality and it is not complicated. The food here is fantastic, but until the staff improves their customer service and learns how to make guests feel welcome, it is hard to fully recommend. read more

We split the Honey Badger small pizza and still had leftovers to take home. That pizza was incredible I would take home one daily if possible. Goodfellas was our go-to for pizza since it opened. We haven't had the chance to back since the new owners took over, so I sat at the bar for a glass of wine while I got a pie to-go. It was better than before!! Wood-fired matters, and it was excellent. It's a good restaurant layout, nicely varied menu (everything's good), and good service. I think the toppings are more generous now than under the previous owner. A couple of other observations/suggestions. It was more quiet for a Friday night than I expected, but maybe that's because I was there early. I really enjoyed the live music on Friday nights, especially Tony D. Blakely picking & singing, and it seems that has gone away. Also, I think it used to have a friendlier atmosphere, but maybe that was because we were there so often that we got to know all the servers. As I was getting ready to leave, I started a brief conversation with the new owner. Very friendly and enjoyed exchanging thoughts and anecdotes. Have servers, managers, whoever go around and say hi even if I'm not in your section; check in on me anyway, smile and chat for moment. If a customer doesn't want to chat, you'll know soon enough.
