And especially that the manager asked another table to leave when they brought their dog inside and decided to feed it under the table. Who does that? We've been here a few times, but our last visit was rough. We asked how long the wait was and were told 15 minutes. The hostess added us to the list and said they would send a text once our table was ready. She even read our phone number back to us. We waited outside and 30 minutes went by before we went back inside to see how much longer. Yea, they somehow didn't actually add us to the list. There were plenty of tables available by then and they gave us a table immediately. We placed our order and after receiving everything except the penne alla vodka and waiting almost 20 minutes after we'd gotten everything, I asked where our pasta was. Our waiter said it should've come out long ago and he would check. Somewhere along the line, it was forgotten. Either it was never put in or the kitchen staff lost it. It ended up being on a completely separate bill because they had to put it in again. By this point, we were over this dinner experience. An extra hour had been added on due to no fault of our own. So why am I giving it 4 stars? Because the manager made it right. Patrick, the manager, came over to our table to talk to us. We politely explained how this evening was a failure across multiple points and he was very apologetic and comped our entire $50 meal. I wasn't expecting that as I had already given our waiter my credit card and he already ran it. We weren't looking for a free meal, we just wanted to give him honest feedback about how things went wrong. Because he took the time to chat with us, I wouldn't hesitate to return. This experience had never happened before there so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was just a rough night for folks. As for the food, the pepperoni pizza and chicken soup were delicious. The short rib comes pretty much comes in soup, but it was fall of the bone tender. I loved the vibe of this restaurant. Not only was the decor nice but the service was amazing. It reminded me of a restaurant I would go to in Chicago. My friend picked the place and I just showed up, so I didn't realize that the original is based in Chicago. They did a great job of keeping that Chicago charm in Texas. I ended up getting a half order of 2 pastas/risotto. I don't normally eat pasta but this place has good reviews and I was craving it. It did not disappoint! I got the pallardelle al Sufi di manzo and the shrimp risotto. I couldn't decide which one I liked more so I alternated bite for bite. And they have good wine that's very inexpensive for a restaurant but good quality. I wish they had a location closer to me. I guess I'll just have to make the drive. read more

My husband is Italian so he's very picky with Italian spots but he loves coming here and so do we ! We come here pretty often and the ambiance is always so nice and service is always great. I love that you can order just a few things off the charcuterie menu instead of getting a whole board. We started with cocktails and the bread with olive oil. One of my favorite pizza restaurants near me with the best happy hour! I also recommend to join their wine subscription because not only is the price good and you can opt to skip certain months but you get to drink it there at the restaurant too. If you were wanting to buy wine for your table anyways, its cheaper and a more fun experience to try different wines through joining! The pizza is very good and my favorites are the mushroom fungi pizza, and the san Danielle ( but sub the tomato sauce to the white sauce used in the fungi pizza- the tomato sauce is fine but its a light tomato base rather than a thick marinaria one and sometimes it makes the pizza a little too wet) . The employees are always so accommodating and friendly and I always have a good time. Its the perfect date spot, the family dinner, birthday, etc. They event have event rooms of all sizes that you can reserve and do their food packages! The ambiance inside is beautiful and we sat in the cocktail room which was definitely a good idea with the grand bar. The veal meatball slider was ok and needed more seasoning and the pickled veggies were much too salty. The pizza's crust was hard and difficult to chew. The flavor was OK, but it was a pretty oily pizza. The Park deli pasta was perfectly al dente and was flavorful. The spaghetti was surprisingly tasty as well, but the one single meatball was small and I wish we had been told how small one meatball was on top of the spaghetti so that we could have ordered more. We got the dessert that had ice cream, whipped cream, strawberries, and a biscotti on top. The ice cream was quality, and the berries were fresh. Joined some friends here for a Saturday night dinner and really enjoyed myself. The free valet parking (if you get the host to validate before leaving) is absolutely worth it in the busy area. The place was absolutely packed and the tables were very close together so volume affected the vibes a little bit but not enough to make the experience bad. The employees all seemed to work together as a team and seemed very kind and polite. The bread service was a great starter to the meal and was replenished when we ran out. I ordered some olives to start and absolutely loved the selection (be mindful of the pits). The tortellini was maybe some of the best I've had in the metro. Full of flavor and very creamy! They don't do reservations for happy hour, so just show up. Parking in the Grand scape area always takes a while, so allot some time for parking. The Neapolitan pizza had good flavor and a good crust. We decided on dessert. We were lucky to get a cannoli which isn't on the menu. I had to get it because getting a good cannoli in Texas isn't easy. It was very tasty (mind you I'm not an expert). We decided to have an early dinner and luckily they were not too busy. There was plenty of seating inside, however as the weather was nice we decided to sit outside. The ambiance felt very European but the tables were quite small and could hardly accommodate our food. We started with the salad and even though it was a half order, the portion size is quite large.
