It's a cozy atmosphere, good for friend meetup or quick lunch. The service was good, and the food was okay. It's pretty much like a deli-style thin-sliced chicken or meat you get on the sandwiches, the sauces are pretty sweet and they use conventional dressings and toppings. Had a good lunch here, recommend the hot pastrami sandwich. It's a big sandwich so I'd go with a half-sandwich if you want to feel less heavy afterward (or else you'll take a nap after eating a whole one like I did!) read more

Total transparency: we had 2 orders. One half a sandwhich and half potato salad and a bag of chips and Arizona tea. The second was a turkey classic #14 and a bag of chips and an Arizona tea; $50. Cute little hidden deli. Seems fairly family run. Casual. The hot Italian sandwich was exceptionally lovely on a toasted loaf. The crab salad was slightly disappointing as it was not real crab. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the ice cream was the perfect ending. read more

Yes yes yes this place is the spot! Owned by the same family forever, I love that it's literally a local sandwich shop. Usually I get their turkey sandwich but I switched it up and got a meatball sub...let me tell you..SO good! Their macaroni salad is a must buy when you go in. Got a club sandwich (adding avocado) to go for lunch for our day hike at Point Lobos. We're visiting the area and thought to go to a local place rather than a chain like Subway or the supermarket. Unfortunately the $20 sandwich wasn't so good. Sourdough bread was old, dry and tasteless. Cold cuts were liked packaged meats. Bacon was cooked before and then reheated in a microwave (and it still was soft and not crispy). Avocado was good and there was a generous amount for the up charge. Fortunately we only bought 1 sandwich (though for the price we could have gotten 2 sandwiches or free chips at Subway with a coupon on the app). I'm writing this to encourage the owners to up their game. If you're calling yourself a deli and going to charge more than a chain store, make it better. People will come. Gave it 2 stars rather than 1 because the lady who made the sandwich was very nice. read more

We've been to Goodies several times now. Service is always friendly. They are very accommodating and will make any substitutions you like. The atmosphere is not much to speak of....it's a deli with a few tables inside. We usually take ours to go unless the weather is nice enough to sit outside. The sandwiches are huge and delicious. The ingredients are fresh and plentiful. Their chicken salad is probably the best I've had out. I love the addition of the crisp apple slices on the sandwich. My husband loved his club sandwich. He requested the French roll instead of the typical bread. We've also loved the rueben - one sandwich was more than enough for the two of us to share. Great little deli if you are looking for a quick bite. They also offer salads, chips and ice cream. We'll be back! read more

Thai is a cute little sandwich shop in downtown pacific grove. It's pretty clean abs plenty of seating. Came here for some carbs aster a nice bike ride on the trail. I ordered the special of the day, pulled pork sandwich, and #19 Italian salami with Swiss cheese. Even with a hot sandwich, the bread is perfectly soft. read more

We had lunch at this downtown deli. My husband was happy with his cream of potato soup and PBJ sandwich. We ate at one of the two indoor tables. I ordered the chicken salad special sandwich which has lettuce tomatoes and apple slices but not much taste. The chicken salad is finely shredded chicken and mayo, sort of mushy. It needs the other things normally added to make chicken salad. Would not order this again. read more

Our sandwiches were very good. I hadn't been to Goodies in years and wanted to support them at their new location. (They were forced to move due to new construction.) Sadly, I wont be rushing back. Mainly because neither of the two people running the place were masked, violating law, standards, and common consideration. I get that masks can be uncomfortable, but people's lives are at stake. The man at the cash register had his mask completely off when I walked in and eventually pulled it over his face after he helped another customer. The woman preparing the food had hers pulled down below her nose, making it ineffective as well. I almost walked out without the sandwiches (but felt that since we'd already placed our order on the phone, we should commit to it). Ridiculous. Note: their web site is out of date and not only lists the wrong location, but the prices are $1.00 to $1.50 more per sandwich than what the online menu indicates. read more
