Cookies were amazing!! I get the hype. The wait was very long though, you'll be waiting for awhile so don't think you can just run in quick. Seems like they make them fresh? Not 100% sure because we waited outside until we heard our name called. Would definitely go back!

First of all, absolutely love the name! It immediately caught our attention and then once we saw the cookies on display we had to order some. It was October so the Halloween inspired cookie seemed appropriate. Paired it with their chocolate soft serve and voila, the ultimate cookie experience! I'm wary of the hype around some cookie places, but for this place it's well earned. The cookie was fresh and warm and just the right texture which can be hard for the thicker cookies to get right it seems.

I found Goodnight Fatty while researching different places for our trip to Salem. I saw that they were only open on the weekends (at least I thought), but was excited to see that they happened to be open on the Thursday that we were there. We popped in for a quick sweet treat before going to the Salem Witch Museum. I loved the red food truck out front with the skeletons on top that welcomes you inside. The inside was a neon space extravagance that I was obsessed with. The flavors of the day were Addams Fatty, Rice Krispies and Kit Kat. We ordered the Addams Fatty and Kit Kat as well as a Swirl Soft Serve which was Dark Chocolate and Vanilla. Both of the cookies were so soft and sweet, but the real winner was the Soft Serve - the dark chocolate was beyond good. It was rich without being overly sweet. OMG - I am drooling again just thinking about it. Staff were friendly and I enjoyed watching them prepare the cookies while we were waiting for our order. They also offer coffee, hot apple cider, pink lemonade and bottomless milk! I am forever a Goodnight Fatty fan and I hope to visit again some day! Check them out!

Had another delicious cookie from here last night. I god the Christmas tree cake cookie which was DELICIOUS. It had little Debbie trees balled up in the middle. So good. One thing to note is they only have 3 flavors each week, personally I have been able to enjoy one each time but if you're not as adventurous with flavors make sure to call and check what that weeks flavors are. I was a little disappointed because we decided to get a 12 pack to bring to a gathering the next day and they wouldn't let us choose how many of each kind we wanted, it had to be 4 of each flavor. Which we were then forced to get a 6-pack and 2 3-packs which came out to be more money than a 12 pack. I would have hoped for better customer service on their end.

Goodnight Fatty lives up to its name. It's so calorie inducing that you kind of want to hate yourself... but they taste so damn good that you're okay with being a fatty. It's self care damnit. It's a genuinely odd space and you have no idea what the weekend flavors will bring you... but they'll be good. Scratch that... they're great cookies. Eat them. Deal with the weight gain later.

As you as you arrive you notice what looks like an ice cream truck/ can with skeletons inside and outside lol sounds weird but makes this location stand out! The inside is small, but full of energy and good vibes. Although small inside, There are seats outside the restaurant. There are dancing skeletons on the wall of the counter and a giant astronaut on the wall. You will definitely remember how this place looks like. There was a long line but it moved really fast. The staff were very nice and friendly and made you feel welcomed. The inside is small, but There wasn't a big menu, so we only ordered two cookies. The fruity pebbles one was my favorite. It was chewy, soft, and the cereal topping with the cookie was delicious. I was hesitant to try this at first since I'm not a huge fan of cereal but I'm glad I tried this! This is a must try in Salem!

During our October visit to Salem we discovered Goodnight Fatty and had to try it! We went there after the annual Halloween parade and the streets were still packed with people, music, and costumes! The line was out into the street but it was our last night in town so we were not about to miss out. We got through the line pretty quickly and since we were too far back at first to see the menu, I looked online so we could figure out what to order before we got to the front. To be honest, I don't remember what cookie flight was offered that night, but ours were delicious! They were huge, warm, and wonderful! The staff were super nice and worked efficiently to get customers through the line. The inside was so cool, complete with Halloween ambiance for the season. There's even merch, so don't forget to grab a tshirt! Goodnight Fatty is a great late night stop for goodies!

I'm into fitness: fitness cookie into my mouth!! These cookies are crazy good! The one that surprised me the most was their cereal cookie! I don't like sweet cereal so I didn't expect to even like this cookie but instead I absolutely loved it!! It was actually my favorite out of their fall flavored trio. This place is worth the stop! We were able to take our box over to the Salem Commons Park to enjoy and indulge:)

I can't even tell you how excited we were to find the spot when we were looking for something sweet late at night; what a fun idea! Hot and fresh cookies delivered right to our hotel, pretty fast service too. The menu is so so good and I'm only sad that I don't have one back home. Definitely a must try!

Best place on earth. They have the best cookies I've ever had. I genuinely eat them every time and I'm confused how they get the same consistency and greatness but still do so many different flavor combinations. As a baker myself the thickness, and also the gooeyness of the middle without being too undercooked is something I have yet to achieve at home. Please open one in New Jersey. I'll literally run it.

Such yummy cookies! Today they had cosmic brownie, lemon poppy, and reese's peanut butter. Ordering was seamless; there was no line at all and the girl working the counter (sorry, didn't catch your name!) was so sweet & friendly. She checked on my order after a few minutes even though I was not in a rush. I ordered the Reese's cookie and it was soooo good! This place was really dope, they had great customer service, cool decor, and very clean. BUT the reason you go to a cookie shop is for the cookies. They were just ok, not sure if they had a bad day, but their was nothing to impressive about them. Don't get me wrong they are good and love to support small local businesses. This place serves the best cookies in my world. We drove all the way from Boston to Salem because we craved for their cookies. Every weekend they came up with three different new flavors. There are good ideas and then there are REALLY good ideas. This small bake shop with minimalism in mind is the perfect getaway after a weekend of work. Every Friday and Saturday they offer 3 unique cookie options (which they swap out every weekend) and a few milk options to enjoy with your warm cookies. I never thought I could love a menu this minimalistic, but honestly its so relaxing to not have to stare down a massive menu and know that I'm happy if I pick one or all the cookies :) read more

OMG, what deliciousness. As a cookie snob I search high & low for a really damn good home baked like cookie. I have to say I make it a point to come here every time I visit Salem. Like seriously, I don't just eat any kind of cookies off the street. Not all cookies are the same. I totally appreciate how damn tasty these cookies are. The only issue I really have has to do w/ the lack of options. There are only three choices of cookie, which makes me sad, & they don't have a vegan option either. Just get here so your taste buds & brain will be super happy! read more

Soooo yummy & great service! Everyone was so friendly! Placing my order was super easy and conveniently outside with lots of seating. The cookies came out quick and warm and oh sooo good. I don't remember the names of the cookies we had but definitely worth the price. We got two milks and 3 cookies for around 14$. Cookie were a good size and they were delicious! What can be better than a unique cookie shop that's open late? Goodnight Fatty's has three options of cookies to choose from which are always changing. The menu also features Sundaes and many different types of milk! I was really impressed by the heated outdoor igloos that gave us a fun place to sit while eating in the cold winter weather! read more

Fun spot and idea. We got a half dozen: two of each of the three options. All were good but we were surprised we both liked the chocolate option the least. Just not rich and chocolaty enough. But they rotate flavors, I think. Bonus: they were all actually better three days later heated up. Who knew? read more

I discovered these deliciously fatty cookies at a pop-up event in Boston and I couldn't have been happier! The bakery brought their 3 most popular flavors and the one that instantly caught my eye, and my inner fatty was the Cowgirl Fatty. She was a mix of oatmeal, chocolate, coconut, pecans, and a whole lotta yum! She was a bit too sweet for me but I devoured her anyway! Goodnight adds the nice touch of warming up the cookie right before giving it to you, so it's positively sinful to not gobble it all up. It was definitely finger-lickin' good! HOLY YUM. Goodnight Fatty was terrific. I enjoyed the flirty fatty. So warm and delicious and full of goodness! I also loved the hot cocoa. Really flavorful. A fun little space too. They had their food truck parked outside, along with heated igloos to sit in, complete with blankets. Highly recommend as a pit stop for anyone checking out the history of the Salem Witch Trials. read more

Goodnight Fatty's has an elusive online charm, and a stronger allure in person (perhaps it's the smell of freshly baked cookies!). The cookie menu rotates frequently, and they only serve a few flavors at a time (I respect emphasis on quality vs quantity). The cookie flavors are innovative and cookies are served warm, so that's a winning combo. The whole ambiance of the shop has a cool vibe as well! I would drive to Salem just for this. They are only open on the weekends if I remember correctly otherwise we would've stopped every single day while we were there. They are some of the best cookies I have ever had. And I've had some pretty good ones in New York. read more

My friend and I were in town the first weekend of October for a witchy weekend, and went to dinner up the street. Our waiter let us know that a "super Salem thing to do" was to visit "this pop-up cookie shop in an alley," which sounded unsafe and fake, but of course, we listened. Thank you for not being a fake trap, Goodnight Fatty. The shop opens up at 7pm, and we arrived around 6:30. There were about seven people in line, so it was easy to tell this was clearly something people look forward to. We patiently waited in the alley with a bunch of strangers, and right at 7pm, an employee came to unlock the door. We walked down a small hallway entrance into a bright, industrial-looking, brick wall-lined room with a signs on the walls that read "I HEART FATTIES," and a giant TV with a video of people getting their necks cracked in chiropractor's offices. I love art. The three cookie options for the evening were: - Warm, melted Kit Kat chocolate chip - Birthday cake (MY FAVE!!!) - and a macaroon, which we didn't get! I don't regret it, because I love mostly chocolate cookies, but I'm sure it was delicious! Our order was quickly placed on the counter, and there were options to stay and play games, but we took some photos and then left to walk around with our cookies through the streets of Salem. I'm really glad someone recommended this to us, because we would've never known about it had we not been informed by a local! read more

Had what can only be described as a confusing experience at this establishment. Pro: the cookie was pretty good. However, what made the experience odd was that they were apparently out of cookies, but could offer us a free one of any variety of our choosing? When we asked about the situation, the person working pointed to the closed, which was obscured by the long line. Maybe they should've had someone standing by the entrance of the barn or yelled out "we are out of cookies!" Rather strange business model, but the three of us enjoyed the cookie that we were able to split. read more

My husband was craving dessert and there was a fair going on ( October) but we came across this. We went here on the recommendation of our waitress at Brodie's. These are, hands down, the best cookies I've ever had and I come from a long line of home bakers. The cookies are moist, chewy, decedent, and delicious. Their soft serve is the best I have ever had, and I prefer soft serve over regular ice cream. I got the swirl and it was thick, creamy, rich, and made with actual chocolate and vanilla. I cannot wait to go back. I would drive the hour to Salem just for go back here!!!! read more

I'be been following Goodnight Fatty on instagram for a while now and finally had a night with friends to go and try the cookies. The Boston cream pie cookie had a very flat and bland chocolate flavor and the "cream" part had congealed to a weird texture within 3 minutes of opening the box. The Cowgirl cookie had oatmeal, chocolate chips, coconut, and pecan. It was good but I expected a lot better for a cookie that was over $2 for a single cookie. Wouldn't make the trip over again and definitely wouldn't pay $30 for 12 cookies but maybe it was just the flavors or an off night. read more

Goodnight Fatty started as a pop-up shop occupying a cafe during their off hours. Through overwhelming community support, we've bootstrapped our way to launching our first Flagship brick and mortar by only offering 3 different Fatties (that's what we call cookies) each weekend.

After waiting about 20 minutes, we were finally seated. Despite that rocky start, the food was so outstanding that we ended up coming back every single day during our stay in Salem. The biggest inconsistency was the service. Out of the four days we visited, only one day stood out as having exceptional service. Most of the time we had to flag someone down for drink refills, order more oysters, ask for Parmesan cheese, or even leave our credit card hanging off the edge of the table before someone would notice we were ready to pay. Now, onto the food because that's what kept bringing us back. The clam chowder and lobster bisque were the true stars of the menu. These are the kinds of soups you'll still be thinking about long after your vacation is over. The lobster bisque was unbelievably rich, creamy, and packed with generous pieces of lobster. The clam chowder had the perfect consistency and, unlike so many others, was loaded with tender clams instead of mostly potatoes. The one-and-a-half-pound lobster was sweet, tender, and practically melted in my mouth. I wasn't in love with my pasta dish. The scallops, however, completely stole the show. They tasted as though they had been pulled from the ocean just moments before being cooked perfectly fresh, sweet, and delicate. Unfortunately, the pasta itself was undercooked and lacked flavor, even after the Parmesan cheese finally arrived. The strawberry shortcake was the perfect dessert on a hot Fourth of July afternoon. It was light, fresh, and exactly what we wanted to finish the meal. And the oysters? Absolutely phenomenal. Every single day. They were consistently fresh, delicious, and one of the main reasons we kept coming back. While the service has plenty of room for improvement, the kitchen is doing something truly special. The quality of the seafood alone was enough to make us return day after day, and that's about the highest compliment I can give a restaurant.
