Say what you will about Goodwill, but I've had some really good luck at this location. It's clean, organized, and always easy to browse. Over time I've found practical things like storage pieces for my kitchen, a few clothing items that work as-is, and others that I've repurposed into something new. I've also picked up plenty of little knick knacks that end up getting taken apart and turned into craft projects, which makes the hunt even more fun. The variety here keeps me coming back. Sometimes it's useful everyday items, other times it's quirky décor or random odds and ends I didn't know I needed until I saw them. Clothes aren't always the strongest section, but when I do find something it feels like a score. Overall, you just never know what you'll walk out with. read more

I will have to say prices did go down a bit in the last year since this is one of the priciest Goodwill I have been too. I hate the fact the manager closed the public bathrooms "due to not functioning" however untrue since all the employees are allowed to use them including her!!! so frustrating specially when you have kids and they see the staff is using them. read more

This Goodwill is located in the middle of a chain of businesses in a long strip center. To be honest this is one of the smallest Goodwill's in the Austin area and caters mostly towards clothing. Their entire shoe selection sits on shelving above all the clothing. They do have some shelves in back with pictures, lamps, TVs, electronics, toys, and glassware. They do have some furniture in the back corner by the bathrooms. And speaking of bathrooms, they have a funny rule where they are not allowed to be used until noon for some reason. This is by far the worst Goodwill I've ever been to. While I was in the changing room, a worker knocked on my door, and I responded clearly, "I'm in here." Despite that, he proceeded to open the door anyway while I was changing. I had to slam the door shut immediately. The most disturbing part? It was an older man, and instead of apologizing, all he said was, "Thank you??" No apology, no acknowledgment of how inappropriate that was. Completely unacceptable and extremely uncomfortable. Yes I'm going to rate the Goodwill, you know why? Because this particular store is clean and neat and right next to the gym. That's great when you're a shopping addict like me but don't want to experience so much buyer's remorse. At this location, I found a Brita 2 Liter water filter for $5, full sized scented pillar candles for $2 each, a 7 piece set of seventies style wooden coasters for $2, and a 3 piece set of beautiful French style white and blue striped kitchen towels for $5. I wish there were more stylish clothes here because I love to repurpose unique garment pieces. But I'm plenty satisfied! read more

They have a great selection, whatever. My review is for the store staff, specifically the women team members; please note the 5 stars. While shopping for some household essentials and, very much, minding my own business, a man nearby said hello to me, I say hello back and carry on with my shopping. A few moments later, he says hi again and I nod, he then asks "how are you?" As my mother raised me right, I begin to say "I'm doing fine, you?", only to be cut off by him saying "you're a pretty little boy" in a tone I can only describe as both moist and sticky with perverted innuendo. There's nothing is quite like a being told 'you're a pretty little boy' by a man who's old enough to be your grandfather; it's truly a special flavor of spine-shivering creepy. After hearing this, I reserve myself to shopping and avoiding this man the best I can. What follows next is 30 minutes of endless questions and comments, such as; 'Hi', 'What's your name?', 'Do you live around here?'. The man followed me straight to check out and so, fed up with his harassment, I explained what was happening to one the women team members behind the counter and asked if they would be slow while checking him out so I could load up my car and drive away. She gives me a look that clearly says 'OH! I got you covered'. She calls him to the other register and begins explaining Good Will's mission statement to him in thorough detail while I finished checking out. As I'm passing by him on the way out of the store, he looked at me again and she waves at him says "Sir, look at me, I need you to focus!" Dear God, that woman is a friend to all of mankind. Whatever your name is, thank you! 5 stars to the woman at Good Will. 2 blue balls to the creep. read more

Average Goodwill location. A bit on the smaller side, but good place for treasure hunting since it's not a very frequented location. I tried to get a VCR here and they had it massively overpriced and wouldn't budge on the price. Did pick up a brand new cocktail shaker for a few bucks, though. read more

This goodwill in located in a central area so its nice for finding the random odd discounted object. Ornaments, books, props, pictures. Is like a yard sale anytime you walk in, you never know what you're going to find. read more

While all Goodwills are steadily raising prices, this location has made an art out of the practice. I've seen markdowns from Target for double the price. It's insane how anyone would buy a dress with a lower store price than the Goodwill sticker. But, hey if you're too lazy to check the prices then I can't feel too bad for you. Other than the jacked up cost, this place is pretty clean, has so much stuff and has a cool staff. In fact it's one of my favorite Goodwills in the area. Be diligent and check the prices of whatever you buy and you'll have a great experience here. read more

This place has, like, everything. Including stuff with the original store tag attached and fun housewares. Great place to find some unique things when you really need some STUFF. But it's not as cheap as my other thrift shops. It's pretty amazing that they charge $6 for shorts that they got for free when they pay their staff minimum wage. They desparately need some shopping carts, or baskets or at least bags. Definitely need some additional hooks in the dressing room and to have the dust bunnies swept up from time to time. read more

Worst Goodwill I've ever encountered. The staff are rude and seem like they hate to be there. Not only do they now close at 8 (keep in mind online says 9), both times I've gone in right from work I find them closed 15-20 minutes before it's even 8pm. If you don't want to work there, get another job. We are in a pandemic and I'm sure there's plenty of other people with no current employment ready to do a job well done. I have mixed feelings about this location. It's pretty damn big and it just got a makeover it looks like so it's super spacious and clean and organized. I had heard it was a good one for scoring awesome finds but I'm not so sure. I think too many ppl found out it was good cuz it looks pretty picked through and I saw a lot of well dressed people in there meaning they like me and looking for those come ups! Haha. They were rolling out the Halloween stuff when I went tho and I did find a really awesome coat. I'm pretty sure it's real leather I gotta do a thorough check. And it was only $14. So that's cool :) Major disadvantage ... There's no mirrors out on the floor!!! Like what? And they super lock the dressing rooms so if you're like me and hate trying stuff on cuz you're a super fast and efficient shopper and you just want to hold it up to yourself real quick then either hold in to it or put it back ... It makes it hard to do! I kept having to bug them to unlock the dressing rooms like a million times just to see a mirror. Good thing the staff is nice tho. Oh and FYI you can't put anything on hold even for like 30 mins!! But they sell candy up by the registers ... random! read more

Usually great customer service - unfortunately this time -- what seems to be a new manager-- ( older loud white lady gray hair)- was not only rude , should have been behind the register instead of shopping and being dismissive lost a sale. Due to the fact i could not sit on a stool for 2 seconds to try a pair of shoes on, due to the fact the stool i sat on had supposedly been bought , no sold tag, no paid tag , not removed from the sales floor as being sold -- i stopped shopping and left the store. No need to tell me not to sit on it because you have an issue, do your job and place a sold sign on it or remove it from the floor. No customer pleasant customer experience today read more

Very disappointed in the way Stephanie handled a situation regarding the marked and advertised price on an article of clothing. The article was marked at a price and we were told that because of the brand it would cost more than advertised and that we were still getting a "good price", while insinuating that the price tag was tampered with. Regardless of how experienced your staff is at marking the articles, it was advertised at that price, which we expected to pay. We have been handled better at other locations for the same reason, and will discontinue to patronize at this location. read more

-I love this Goodwill!! -Clean, spacious, doesn't smell weird, never gets too crowded, staff is super friendly and helpful. Dressing rooms are huge! -I have found really cute, modern dresses for $8-9, vintage leather suitcases with newly repaired zippers for $6, clean oversized sweaters for the winter season (often in the men's section) for $5, and name brand clothes in good condition (not overly worn out like other thrift stores). Have also noticed nice Men's leather dress shoes Made in the US ($5-10) -They do need more shopping carts, but in a way it's good there's so few because it allows more walk way. -They don't let you hold stuff at the front, but they will try to help you score a cart asap or find you in the store once they secure a shopping cart for you. -For East Riverside this is a great location with lots of parking space, with cameras in the parking lot so I also feel very safe. -Silent auction where you leave your bidding price and phone number, and the auction happens every Saturday. read more

I found this Goodwill location a bit pricey, but the tradeoff is that the store is large, so your chances of finding what you're looking for are higher. In any case, nothing comes close to Goodwill's selection and prices for Halloween Costumes, and I often end up visiting 3 or 4 of their locations to find the perfect accessories. Anyway customers who buy Halloween contact lenses from me usually appreciate that I can tell them which Goodwill location has the best selection that year :) read more

Store was one of the nicest and cleanest goodwills I've ever been to. I went around 8pm and there was only one guy working so he would yell from the front of the store, " dressing rooms are closed!!!" To whoever would ring the bell to use the dressing room. Hope they can hire more staff or something to take care of that problem. read more

Best goodwill I've been to. It smelled nice the moment I walked in and I was greeted by a cashier named Nora who was super friendly the moment I entered and the moment I left. The store was clean and organized. I had previously gone into DD's next door but couldn't find anything there. I walked out of Goodwill with two brand new tops for good prices. This is my go to place now. The great condition of the womens clothing and purse selection is what is going to bring me back. read more

There is a woman who works at this location named Stephanie that is the most condescending person that I have ever encountered. She knows nothing about customer service, which is sad because she appears to be in a managerial position. I went in regarding a mistake that one of their cashiers made on a purchase that my father in law, who knows no English made, and she spoke to me like I was a child and in turn made it seem like he was lying. She needs to learn to be less offensive and to treat customers with a little more respect. I am livid at the way she treated us. The store is not bad and most of the employees are very helpful, but this woman is awful. She ultimately told us there was nothing she could do, other than call in for them to review the cameras to make sure that WE were not lying. She made us feel like criminals and that is not okay. If this is Goodwill's policy any time a cashier makes a mistake, that is terrible. read more

Jacked up prices that are closer to full price, than to discount. I've had prices raised on me as I'm checking out with the cashier; they have had to ask me if I still want the items. Meanwhile there is a community of homeless in the same parking lot, sleeping under the bridge. Maybe offer them jobs, since you are making so much money. I will no longer be donating or shopping at this location. I'm going to Value Thrift instead, which is also on riverside. They have better deals. read more
