I first came here after learning Trader Joe's donated less than perfect flowers here.... $3.50 a bouquet and $1.00 for greens. I have never been much of a flower buyer because I'm frugal to a fault. But this is really fun. For less than the cost of a small pumpkin spice latte, I can buy my mom flowers. They also have several items that other thrift stores don't.... they have a furniture section (mostly nicer, quality antique style), and they have mobility aids (wheel chairs, walkers, etc). They have fun stuff to look at, like earrings and things, that are easily accessed with staff help. At very large goodwill stores, it can take forever to look at something behind the counter. While they don't have the biggest selection of clothes, I feel like they are a bit curated. I picked 3 shorts off the rack this summer, and they've been my summer go-tos. They also send a lot of the TJ flowers to the hospice patients. And the employees are positive, kind, and funny. Better than Disneyland if you love the dopamine hit of a good bargain!

I had a car trunkload full of clothes. Employee came out to my car and said "I can't take your stuff". I asked why. He went on a 5 minute confusing tirade of various topics without answering my question. I asked when he went off duty. I returned 30 minutes after his shift ended. The replacement employee then happily took all my items. The guy was obviously off his medication and was having a psychotic break.

Be sure to catch it before it hits you or your car. For shopping, they have everything. Something about cement floors makes me feel almost dizzy so I cannot stay inside for long. We decided to check out the store. The front entrance is at the opposite end of the donation area. It is a large, open warehouse to walk through with a lot of areas to browse. There are aisles of art/decor, clocks, dishware, holiday items, tools, paint supplies, & garden items, among other things. A glass case holds jewelry & collectibles. There is a long wall of lots of books. There is an area of chairs, dining tables, dressers, & other large furniture pieces. Towards the back you'll find lighting fixtures, doors, flooring, & toilets. It's fun to look around to see if anything strikes your fancy. We walked away with yard decor & some handy items. The staffer who took our donations was helpful & friendly, but the person working the register provided a perfunctory transaction.

There are actually 2 ReNew stores, one focused on home goods and decor type of items and the other is clothing, shoes, and smaller items. 100% of the profits from these stores goes directly to their program that helps women and children out of poverty and homelessness. This thrift store isn't like a Goodwill, not big, not "corporate" and so I feel that it's much more personable. Everything is tasteful and nicely organized and they even tell you it's "curated" on their website. ReNew sells new and gently used clothes, shoes, accessories, kitchenware and especially some nice sets of fine china (see pics), arts and crafts, card and board games, books, dvds, some smaller electronics and home appliances as well as upcycled home decorations, housewares, furniture, etc. They really do sort and quality control their items, as I can see that their new and gently used, high-end and name brand fashion are all high quality. Some of the items are kind of overpriced for what they are being used, but most items are at "low-thrift boutique" prices, and for a good cause so it's definitely a great place to shop. They have a list of items they accept for donations as well as what they don't accept. So this is a great place to shop to support as well as to give to if you have used items you want to donate.

The men and women's clothing selection was limited in my size. nice customer service,, the kids were helping out which was cool to see and let kids learn practical skills.
