Me in Goodwill shopping for Halloween!

Kudos to the staff at this store! I have lived in various cities and shop Goodwill all the time and I have to say this is the cleanest and most organized Goodwill I have ever been in! Shoutout to Darlene who took time away from her stocking to assist me in finding what I needed. This is what great customer service looks like! I will be back!

This store has one of the best selections. I love to shop at Goodwill Town Center. The staff is nice and friendly also.

Watch out! Nicole told me they'd be 2/3.99 as marked. Later charged me $2.99 each while I walked off to help put away my basket & cart :(

BEWARE: Watch out at this Goodwill. Things are way marked up as others have said (not matching the display signs), and they seem to be out for your profit. As they rung up a few items, I asked about a pair of slightly chipped plates, marked in blue as 2 for 3.99. The newby-like cash register guy was taken over by a more assertive lady (Nicole), who told me they'd be rung up for that 2/3.99 price. The pattern was cute, so I was willing to pay that, even if it was slightly chipped---MISTAKE #1. They were near closing, so I wanted to help put away my basket and cart while they rung up my items---BIG MISTAKE #2, as I later found out after I left that she charged me $2.99 for each chipped plate. Yes, it's just about $2 more, but the DISHONESTY bothers me, as an organization that's supposed to bring about "goodwill." I was purchasing a skirt and noticed as the man folded it that there was a slight stain. What does Nicole do? "Sorry, all sales are final." Just like that. Straight face, like she didn't just steal my money from the plates and give me some attitude. At the time, I wasn't sure why my amount came out to nearly $40 considering the clothes were 50% off (supposedly), but I still donated by rounding up the last 82 cents---MISTAKE #3 (because for all I know, that money went to their own pockets). Looking back, I can see the jacked up prices, this lying Nicole, and why others had warned the same on the reviews. Wish I read them earlier, but I mean, how different can a Goodwill be, especially in a more upscale area? MISTAKE #4---walking into this one in the first place. Watch out when you choose to shop here!

Young Lady working the back donation area on Tuesday April 12th at 1pm is quite possibly the rudest and most abrasive employee I've ever encountered at Goodwill or Salvation Army. When I asked her for a donation receipt she says, exasperated, "just put it in the bin". To which I ask her for a receipt and she then says "that's not going to happen"!! WTH I asked her if there was someone else who could help and she says no. Seriously go to the Carson Goodwill or the one on Sepulveda or Salvation Army further down PCH

The place was a disaster! Only clothing was in some order. Prices were out of this world on most things. Was a huge disappointment!

Went to donate some items and it was difficult to find! Entrance is towards the back on a side street but it is a big drop off area.

Since that time it has remained one of the best go-to spots for thrifting in the area. Of all the thrift shops in the South Bay, undoubtedly Savers never ceases to amaze. As can be expected, this thrift store offers all of the things you would expect to find: clothing, shoes, books, records, toys, kitchenware, electronic items, and pretty much everything else you can think of. Plus, they are constantly stocking new items, so every time you go in to this business you're guaranteed to see something new. I know a lot of people talk about the prices at this thrift store. For pretty much all of the items I find them to be very reasonable. In fact, you can truly find some one of a kind items for incredible prices. In terms of the clothing, yes, they are a bit high in their pricing compared to other thrift store chains. For some people, they may not want to spend $12.00 to $20.00 for say a used shirt. Though this is not always the case, a lot of their clothing is fairly expensive. This is just something to keep in mind if you haven't been here before. If you're going to be shopping for clothing at Savers, you've pretty much have got to expect to pay the top dollar for it in terms of the used market. This is a necessarily bad or good, and it isn't a criticism, it's just the way Savers operates. Overall, this is a truly good shop. I can't say enough about this place and the staff here are always super nice and friendly. Overall, it's one of my favorite places to thrift. You never know what you're going to find. You're paying a bit more than you might at other places, but these items are cleaner and better curated for sure! They have a wide variety of items as well, and in all it was an enjoyable adventure. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for a vintage bargain. :)

This thrift store is very well organized. Perhaps that's one of the most interesting things about it. They even have their clothing organized by size. So, this makes shopping for that vintage piece of clothing much easier. This is something that few other thrift stores do. And, it's really appreciated. Because, it makes the whole shopping experience, not only easier but more enjoyable. Beacon House has far more than just clothing, however. This shop is stuffed full of all kinds of everything else, from electronics, to kitchen goods, to musical items, to LPs, cassette tapes, pretty much anything you can think of, they've got something. As is the case with all thrift stores, the inventory at this business is constantly changing. So, going in here one day may be very different from going in the next day. You will never know what you're gonna find. And, that's what makes this business a really unique shopping experience. So, if you're one of those people that enjoy going to thrift shops, seeking out antiques, vintage items, discarded items that nobody really cared about, or pretty much anything else, this is a great place to go. Of all the thrift stores in the area, this is definitely one of the best.

The lady at the front didn't acknowledge me when I walked in even though I heard her interacting with everyone else. I just ignored it and went about my shopping. I saw some I liked but I didn't get them because I wanted to see if any other stores had ones that were a little closer to my set. I didn't, so I returned today because it was such a great deal. She acknowledged me this time but I could tell she was just forcing it. I went up to purchase the cups and was heading out when I stopped to look at some more tea cups right by the door. Well she walked up to me and asked me what I had. I thought she was just curious about what I'd ended up getting and said tea cups. She asked me where I was going with them, that I needed to purchase them. I was at a loss of words. Why would I be walking out of a store with a taped up box if I hadn't paid for it?!?! I even had the receipt in my hands. The lady that helped me with my purchase walked up and stated I'd paid for it already. I cried when I got into my car. I love visiting thrift stores because I loved antique/vintage items. Unfortunately, I may never know if it's because of my skin color but that was the vibe I got from the entire situation. I will never return, which is sad because someone had recommended this thrift store to me and they had a lot of cool items I would have loved to come back to check out.
