As long as I live in or near Lakeland I will never ever take my car anywhere but this Tire Choice location. From the very first time I stopped in, they have taken amazing care of me and my car. Story time: The first time I went in, I asked them to change the oil (classic) but to also take a look at my CV joints because I thought one needed to be replaced. When I took my car in, I waited about 30 minutes before they called me- the first thing they asked is why I wanted them to look at the CV Joints, because they thought everything looked good and nothing was concerning. Well, I wanted them to check the joints because the previous car shop I went to told me I'd need a CV Joint replacement! Then, the guy I talked to on the phone says, "As much as I'd love to sell you a part, you just really don't need it right now." So low and behold, I found out the previous shop was trying to scam me into buying a part I didn't need! So that automatically won me over to stay with Tire Choice any time my car needed attention. Since that first revelation, I've had to take my car in a few more times thus far, and these guys have always been nothing short of amazing. They are so friendly and personable and do their best to help keep your car pristine so that you don't need to come in constantly. They genuinely want to make things better. They're also so good about trying to keep the costs to a minimum. They'll never charge you more than is absolutely necessary- just like when I didn't actually need a CV joint replacement so they didn't force one. I've recommended multiple friends there and they've all had the same great experiences. These guys are the definition of a local shop you can trust. If you can, call the shop to make an appointment with them. There's an option to make an appointment online, but there are 3-4 Tire Choice shops all along the same road, so it's easier to call and book a time because the online booking can get locations messed up (speaking from experience there). Even when I accidentally didn't book correctly, they still squeezed me in and took care of things. This is a real deal car shop that won't fraud you, and will only provide the best service. I've used Tire Choice for service on a couple occasions. I have no complaint about the work they perform, however on this occasion I feel that I was gouged on the pricing. I did not sign any work order giving me a breakdown of what pricing would be. I did agree verbally to a set amount which was $400 less than they verbally started with. My total bill was $1200. They started with $1600. I have a 2011 Nissan that needed a coil pack and plugs. In thinking about the price, I felt that was extreme. They told me verbally that it would be at least four hours labor which would drive the price up. I paid the bill and picked the vehicle up. Not feeling right about the bill I called the local Nissan dealership for a quote. They gave me a quote of $900 parts and labor. What's funny to me was that their quote was roughly $250 in parts and $650 in labor. My bill from Tire Choice was $750 in parts and $300 labor plus a $150 miscellaneous charge. The bill I was given showed only 6 tune up parts. No breakdown of what the parts were or cost. This just threw up more suspicion. I'm handicapped with one leg. I went thru four major back and neck surgeries in 2023 and money is tight. I felt I could trust Tire Choice. The only thing I feel is that I was intentionally screwed. Ever since I moved here from Colorado my car has been worked on over $2000 worth of fixing for my car. And every time I have a problem they fix it but when I leave it's the same problem or a different problem. I tell them about every problem that's going on with my car and they only fix one thing. They like to pick and choose what they want to fix therefore I have to keep coming back to get something else fixed. Now my airbag light is on I told them about it and guess what it's still on after they fix the alternator and I had to replace the battery when I told them I want the battery replaced because it's a Walmart battery but did they replace the battery NO!! I just got my car fixed correctly and I want them to fix what is wrong with it! I'm not giving you any more money until you replace or fix the airbag sensor!! read more

I could not find the one in Mulberry so the one in Lakeland could be fine but still beware. I went to the one in mulberry for an oil change instead of going to Kia like I normally would. The manager Tyler, almost immediately came back and said I had a cracked CV axle and needed almost 4 grand in repairs. I said no thanks. I got my oil change and the wiper blades and left. I checked the new blades and they had not changed them.I went back and they said they " forgot" and changed them. To continue, I went to Kia for an oil change and asked them to check the brakes and wheels for problems. They said NOTHING was WRONG! Nothing. I even then said I was concerned about a cracked axle and they said, no, all fine. In conclusion. AVOID the Tire Choice in Mulberry! read more

Stay Away!!!!!! This place uses the bait and switch tactic. I received a quote for a CV axle replacement on my son's vehicle. He is attending college in Lakeland. Dropped the vehicle off the next day. My son received the same quote. They said they would order the part and have it ready the next day. 30 minutes later they called my son and said the repair would be $100 more because the part supplier increased the price of the part. BS! I called them and got the same BS story. Told them to not touch the vehicle. I wouldn't let these jack wagons touch anything. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. read more

After swapping the shocks, I took my car in to get it aligned. They told me I needed brakes and tires. The car isn't driven much, so the tires (with 90% of the original tread) are old, but still look new (and yes, I know that tires have expirations on them). The brakes had about 40% life left which equates to about 16K miles -- no where near what they said. My car as "wear sensors" on the pads (which were not activated -- I had just swapped the shocks... I inspected the brakes at that time). They took the car and said they aligned it. It is worse than when I brought it in. I took the car back and they only want to sell me new tires... They claim my car pulling to the left is the crown in the road... Funny, it never did that before. I have been there many times over the years, I won't be back. I ended up taking the car to another service center. They found the problem and corrected it. If I hadn't gone to Tire Choice, I wouldn't be stuck paying for the same service twice. read more

They have done all the routine maintenance on my Forester for several years. Parts and workmanship have been good. With coupons and special offers the prices have been good, too. They recommend various services but without undue pressure. So, generally, they do the work that needs to be done, nothing more, nothing less. I bought my last set of tires at this shop, too, Yokohama Tornantes, during a sale that made them a very good value. They have provided 25,000 miles of smooth, quiet driving, both in town and on the highway, with minimal, even wear. On my last visit, they found a problem with a lug nut, saw in their records that they were the last people to touch the wheels and replaced the stud and nut at no charge. I needed a tire repair late in the day today. There was a screw in the tire which had caused the tire to deflate. AAA came. Had no AIR. Put spare (donut) on the care. Went shopping at the mall nearby. They called said tire fixed and car ready. Walked back. The person who helped me said his mgr. had said NO COST FOR THE REPAIR. I was shocked. They said Merry Christmas. The Manager was extremely helpful when I mentioned warning about a low tire on in car. He said all tires had been checked, BUT WANTED TO MAKE SURE I WAS HAPPY AND CAME OUT AND CHECKED ALL TIRES AGAIN. Never hesitate to go to this location. I made an appointment online and selected the tires I wanted. When I arrived for my appointment the person at the front desk then said that they didn't have the tires that I had selected online. He then relooked and said actually they had the ones I requested saying "I swear I'm not drunk they weren't just there." and assured they were the same ones I had requested online with the 85k mile warranty. Once I picked up my car after the tires were placed and arrived home I noticed it was a different tire; lower in value, different speed rating, and lower in mileage warranty was put on. I went back to the store and was only offered a free oil change or to have my old tires put back on and be refunded. Update: I called the corporate customer service line and was given the option of return back within 30 days to receive the tires I had originally picked be ordered and put on. Update: The customer service representative who answered my call and said they were able to fix everything and would reach out so I could schedule my my appointment hasn't gotten back to me in 2 weeks. Tire Choice in Lakeland really took care of me when I was out of town and my wife had a tire issue. As a result of that visit I now receive coupons in the mail. I made an appointment on a Friday to have the oil changed the following Wednesday. The car being serviced was in their system and the appointment was for an oil change. When I arrived at the appointment time I was told they were out of the oil my car takes? I appreciate that a $14.99 oil change may not be worth their time, but I will need 4 tires in the near future and I attended to purchase them there due to my original experience. Very disappointed. I had a fast leak in my Jeep tire. Check out to them at 11 in the morning they called me at noon to say it was finished. I was surprised how quick it was done since I told them I was in no hurry and was going to walk the few blocks back home. They did it the right way took the tire off the wheel patched it from the inside put it back on and rebalanced the wheel. It's great to have somebody so close that knows what they're doing.
