This was my first time going here after an appointment in the area so I figured I would give it a shot. The bagel store is in a huge shopping center right off Main Street, hence the name. When you walk in, you have a huge showcase of bagels, deli items, and dessert. You also have a coffee station and a drink station. The place isn't anything fancy and it is low lit. The staff were very nice and I was in and out of the store in five minutes. I ordered two bagels; one egg everything with vegetable cream cheese and one egg with chives. The bagels were absolutely delicious. They were soft, had a lot of flavor, and had the perfect amount of cream cheese. Some bagel stores put too much cream cheese where I feel like I'm eating an entire block and other bagel shops put no cream cheese. I think they did a very good job. Used to love this establishment for their vegan options, but they have really been going downhill lately. I have had a negative experience 5+ times before I decided to update this review. For starters, even though this place opens 6am majority of the bagels aren't event ready until 7 or 8 so forget even ordering food at that time. Additionally, everytime I ask for the dairy-free cream cheese the counter guy complains and tries to say they ran out because it's too difficult for him to get it from the back and mix in some veggies. If you insist they check they end up having it every time. Additionally, when the owner is there I seem to get charged a few dollars more because he rounds up on the prices for whatever reason. I ended up changing over to Village Bagel & Deli which ended up having even better bagels and vegan options. read more

I used to like this place. Used the TooGoodToGo App to pick up bagels. Pick up window was 3:00pm to 3:30pm. I get to the door at 3:25p and it's locked. There are two workers in there closing up. I knock on the door and wave my phone with the app open. The first worker looks at me, ignores me and goes in the back. I knocked another few times and another woman pops up from counter yelling 'we are closed'. I yelled no, i payed for a pick up. She eventually brought me the bagels. Upon handing me the bag she says they close at 3:30p in not the nicest way. Well she handed the bag to me at 3:28p. I wouldn't be so mad if I wasn't ignored and shoo'd away. I get you want to go home but you don't treat customers that way or set a pickup window where the workers don't want to help you. read more

Food is 4 star, service and price drop it a star. Make sure you are careful going to the website because it takes you to another site and you have to enter again to get there. Beware, the menu there is out of date and the prices are nearly double. Be sure to check the order online option to get current post-pandemic prices. Breakfast sandwiches are greasy too. The owner is great, just wish the place would make some improvements. Considering the food in Huntington Village proper has gone downhill, this is your best option nearby for an above average on-the-go breakfast sandwich. It may look like your average bagel joint, but Bagels On The Main is anything but! I wandered in with family on a beautiful beach day and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and the incredible aroma of fresh grub. The shop was filling up quickly, and despite the volume of orders, we were able to snag some delicious bagels for the beach in no time! We ordered Smoked Atlantic Nova Salmon and an everything bagel with cream cheese along with some aesthetically pleasing half and half lemonade drinks. The bagels were crisp, flavorful, and made with love. Everything worked together beautifully; I was especially impressed by the packaging and care invested into each order. While the staff is always generally nice and the food is pretty good, I end up consistently waiting 20-30 minutes for an order just for myself even when it's not visibly busy. There usually seems to be regulars that come in after me and always get comparable orders made and checked out way before me. It's not worth spending my whole lunch break waiting. My most recent visit will probably be my last as I waited about 30 minutes for a salad just to have the wrong dressing and toppings missing (conveniently it's the toppings that cost extra). They might have forgotten to add them in, but they definitely did not forget to charge me for them. Realized once I started eating at work and didn't want to deal with going back. read more

I have been here at least 4 times before the COVID-19 pandemic and I wasn't overly impressed. I used to get my nails done religiously at the same strip mall and walked 4 doors down to check out the bagels. Not impressed AND they don't take the time to make gluten free bagels so I'm even less enthralled. They do carry Udi's individually wrapped bagels which are so BORING and overpriced. I'll start off by saying that I've been to this deli a handful of times and today is my last day going there. I've had some good and not so good experiences there. There have been way too many times where I have called ahead and arrived and my order was not only not ready. but not even started. When I tell them I'm here to pick up they ask what's the order and I tell them and then see the look on their face like "oh crap I don't remember if I put in the order or not". Then they always say "oh it'll be out in a minute" and I wind up waiting 10 minutes while they make it from scratch. I don't know, maybe an egg sandwich takes 35 minutes to make? The egg sandwich was soaked in butter or something to the point where the paper they wrap the sandwich in would rip and stick to the sandwich and you have to peel it off and hope you're not eating any pieces. This is not always the case but happens too often. On top of that, they overcharged me. I know this because one employee rung me up and walked away to pour a coffee for me and another employee walked up to the register and punched some buttons and the total went down by 20 cents. First employee says "oh the total is in there already just take their card". Employee takes my card and charges me. (Number on the screen doesn't change). I get home and see that I was charged over a dollar than the original amount. It's a dollar but still...pay attention to what they charge you. Place is mediocre at best and is absolutely overpriced. I really really enjoyed bagel on the main, they have very fresh sandwiches and salads. I personally love the chicken cutlet sandwiches, I've never had a bad experience. I've read some of the bad reviews and it just seems like they're fake because I can't understand how someone could not like this place. If I'm not really feeling a sandwich then I get my go to salad called "the frank salad" . It's not on the menu so you'd have to ask for them, and they'll be glad to make it. Bunch of con artists, and food is barely passable.  STAY AWAY!!! I walk in there for lunch.  There is no menu visible, only a couple of things listed on a board in the front. There were menus placed on top of the counter, so I asked the man behind the counter if that was the menu.  He said yes. I looked and ordered the Turkey Sandwich w/Bacon (It had a name, but I don't remember it).  And a bottle of Poland Spring water.  That paper "menu" stated it was $8.99. Cashier rings me up, says it's $13.99, $15.00 w/the water.  WTF??????  He said they didn't update the menu, and it's $15.00 for the sandwich and the water. If it wasn't late in the day (1:30) and I wasn't starving with no energy left to look for another place, I would have walked out. Stupid me paid the $15.00, but never again am I going in there. BTW, when I got home, I was sick to my stomach and severely constipated.  The two people I was with weren't thrilled with the food either, one of them said the bagel sandwich tasted like something she could just make at home. read more

We were so extremely happy with our hero order for our daughters birthday party! The hero trays were so well decorated and even the side salads looked fancy and amazing with their tropical garnishing. The simple details down to the squeeze-bottle condiments really made this catering expierence top notch for our guests and us. And of course the food was delicious. Worth every penny! We also come here for morning bagels and coffee which are are very good. But I prefer their deli sandwiches which come with wide variety of delicious sides. read more

Good but not great. Bagels are slightly dense, challah was a day old when I bought it. They do have a very nice variety of pasta and other side salads, though, and there is some seating. Ordered a sandwich through online system with extras. Showed up to pick it up, it wasn't ready and took over 20 mins to make with me and airing while employees just stood behind counter chatting. When I got back to work to eat and opened missing all extras and dripping in grease completely disgusting and inedible. I emailed and texted with no response requesting a refund. Finally had a chance to cal for a refund and was spoken to very rudely and hung up on TWICE when asking for my transaction number. We ordered sandwiches (take out) on Friday, May 13th. We were visiting the area for a family wedding. We were eating the sandwiches at our hotel when I opened my Chicken Panini sandwich there was a dark hair in the sandwich. I called the restaurant and they wanted me to return to the restaurant for another sandwich. We could not return we were getting ready for the wedding. I just wanted to make them aware of the problem. They handled the situation poorly and did not seem like they were concerned, I believe this is a Health Dept. issue and the staff who handle food should be wearing hair nets/coverings. I used to go to this place all the time when it was Cup-of-Joes Bagels. It was a sold, inexpensive bagel spot. I've known that it's changed it's name and maybe? Management. However, I went in today and the server who helped me was very unfriendly. I asked for a bagel with cream cheese and bacon. The bacon was barely cooked and covered in grease and there was minimal cream cheese on the bagel. I also bought a gatorade and a plain bagel literally with nothing on it. I was charged $9.45 for two bagels and a drink. What the actual f? So overpriced and then I come home to eat my bagel and barely can because the bacon is undercooked and now my bagel is covered in bacon fat. Will not be returning. read more

I am currently pregnant and bagel on the main satisfies every craving. The deli meats are the best I have had. Their turkey sandwich is truly one of a kind. and their cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese and jelly is phenomenal. I can't say enough great things about the quality of food at this place and on top of that the staff is so witty and funny. I've heard really good things about this bagel place so I came in Saturday morning to grab some bagels and spreads. The line extended out the door but moved fairly quickly, the people behind the counter were working hard and eventually it was my turn to order. Ordered a few bagels with spreads already on them and a few extras with butter and cream cheese on the side. My order was messed up, asked for 2 egg, they gave me one, asked for 1 plain they gave me 3, yada yada. Anyways, it would have been all well and good if the bagels they gave me were good but they were burnt so badly there were holes in them. Burns that caused the bagel to have holes in them into the center, pretty terrible. Honestly, the guys throwing the bagels into the bag see what they're putting in so to put those in the bag is kind of, crappy. Half pound of cream cheese is $5, half pound of butter was $5. $26 for all that, probably would give the place another chance but dang, coming home to a bag full of burned bagels isn't enjoyable. read more

I so wanted this place to be great. Cup O' Joe definitely needed a spruce up , to say the least. The bagels however , were the best. Made the old way , by hand , boiled , then baked. Now the bagels taste like they are brought in pre made from some wholesaler, and then baked on premises. NOT the same . Dry outside, tough inside Gave the place a few tries . They advertise , open at 5 , but very few bagels are ready. . If your opening at 5, get the crew in at 3:30. Joe did. The last straw was $ 1.85 for a twelve ounce coffee.
