Finally had the chance to try this ride during Oogie Boogie Bash as the line was less than 5 minutes long and we immediately went back on it again after getting off! If I had to categorize it as anything, I'd say it's an "older kid" roller coaster, as it is a bit more intense than say the Hippogriff ride at Universal. There are slightly more intense drops and the real adrenaline factors are the multiple turns that make it feel like you're getting launched off the ride. A bit spooky with the height you're at with the fact that you're overlooking everything and that the cars themselves are quite small. Be aware of this as it might be difficult to squish all your stuff in front of you. All in all, a fun, smaller roller coaster if you're not feeling the Incredicoaster. Hopefully, I can find some of those cute chickens as merch at the park. read more

This ride is fun it's silly and gives you whip lash in the best way. If you're not one for sudden tight turns and drops maybe skip this one. This ride is better for children. It is hard for adults to fit comfortably on the ride. The size of the cars is scaled down. This coaster is very bumpy and jerky. It is a short ride, but how uncomfortable it was made it too long for me. My oldest and youngest enjoyed this roller-coaster. It is because of their opinion that I am bumping this review up to three stars. My middle child thought it was fine. Goofy's Sky School gave my youngest the confidence to try more adventurous rides at DCA and Disneyland. The signs around the line are cute. Signs are reminiscent of the old Goofy cartoons. Goofy's Sky School may be a kiddie ride, but I got such thrill being a passenger in the front car. The ride gets things started right away, being quickly lifted up the incline, then away it goes. The sharp turns overlooking Pixar Pier makes passengers feel like they're going to tumble down to the ground. A few drops here & there, interspersed w/ jolting stop/starts, create a chaotic time, in line with the ride's namesake. Located on the rear right of Pixar Pier, Goofy's Sky School is one of the best rides at DCA, and a must. The 4 passengers in the vehicle will feel the rough & aggressive fun, upon each twist & turn. It travels up and down and side to side but no upside down, making for a mix of smooth dips and jerky motion twists. All the while while you hear the sounds of the squeaky, rickety tracks and of course your screams and that of others. LOL! The ride fits 2 adults snuggly. You have to be at least 42 inches tall to ride. I'm 61 inches tall and rode with another adult so it was a pretty cozy fit. The side of the ride cab height is from my shoulders to a bit below my head. The sides were padded. My head did make light contact a couple of times on the side because of the unpredictable twists that bounced me sideways. Ouch! So make sure your little kiddos sit more in the center of the ride and not slide around. read more

Once upon a time, this ride was called Mulholland Madness. The twists and turns are a bit jerky but it is fun for the little people in your life. Goofy's Sky School came along after they started rebranding the rides away from the California themes and more towards Disney-centric themes. I recently rode this ride again as a 'single rider' because I was with some friends and we didn't want to wait in the long line. The single rider line is the way to go and this ride definitely reminds me of the Lost Spirits ride in Tokyo Disney Sea. It's practically the same route and drops just a different theme. So, if you're interested in the hoopla that is Goofy's Sky School, check it out in the short line. read more

This is a kiddie coaster, but I love it! It doesn't go incredibly fast topping out at 27mph but I was laughing the entire ride, enjoying myself to the (Goofy) Max! Open for over 20 years now (but only 11 as Goofy's Sky School) you ride with just three others in your car - 2 by 2. It's fun to ride a rollercoaster with such a small group in a smaller car. Something about that makes it a bit more thrilling. Goofy teaches you how to fly throughout the ride in his own special way for just under 2 minutes. With the ride being so short, I wouldn't wait more than 15 minutes to ride. Usually the line isn't too long though. This ride is so on brand for Goofy's silly personality. OMG I thought I was going to die and take my little nephew with me! I've only been on this ride once, and that was enough to know that I do not want to go on it ever again!! It's basically a kids ride, so being an adult with my little nephew, I thought seriously that I was breaking the ride. My nephew kept laughing at me thinking I was pretend screaming... nope. Ok, since I've been off the ride, I learned that it only feels like the ride is breaking, it's not actually going to throw you off the track. Who was I to think that Disney would make a ride that would not hold an adult... unless it said so. If Goofy built a rollercoaster, this is exactly how it would be. Well, actually it would probably be shoddier and somebody would end up with a broken leg, but this ride captures the Goofy theme all the same. This is a "wild mouse" type coaster with single cars, and with a top speed of around 27mph, this one can't rival some of the bigger coasters (e.g. the Incredicoaster on the opposite side of the park). But you do feel it, as this is a fairly jerky ride which includes sharp turns, hard braking, and sudden drops. The ride opened in 2001 and was originally named Mulholland Madness, no doubt a nod to the "joys" of driving in LA traffic. A sudden hard stop in the middle of the ride - just like driving on LA's congested freeways! The queue for Goofy's Sky School has funny signs and decorations, like an official permit for Goofy to be operating a chicken farm, except "chicken farm" is crossed out and "flight school" is handwritten next to it. Explains a lot! Not really a must-do ride, but this was fun enough and the line wasn't too long when we visited. read more

This is the most adorable ride! When I first saw it on the app, I was like meh, probably not a ride I need to experience. But that was before I realized it was such a cute little roller coaster! I have been on something like this in the past. It was called Mouse Trap. It had been at Cedar Point and then went to Michigan Adventure, but this one is ever better! I love the theming, Goofy's the man! What a funny goof, funny dad, and makes a great character for a fun ride. We were able to get on this ride fairly quickly and a couple people in the fam were able to ride it multiple times while others were doing other things. And honestly, this IS the ride you could enjoy over and over again. It is also in a great location. The Corn Dog Castle is right next to it, so in between rides you can eat one of those killer corn dogs. I recommend the cheddar cheese one personally. This is also a nice ride if you have people in your party that want a thrilling ride but do not do well with faster coasters. We have that in our family so this ride allows us to all be together instead of having someone go off to the side and miss out on the fun. read more

We had a chance to rid Goofy's Sky School, 6 times in a row, during our visit at Disneyland's California Adventure on a Monday morning. There wasn't any line, so the team members at Goofy's Sky School let my daughter and I just remain in the ride! It was awesome of the team to let us sit in the ride a few times since there wasn't any queue for it. Goofy's Sky School is by far one of the best rides at California Adventure. The ride sits approximately 4 people, 2 per each row. The vehicle is relatively small. I'd almost compare the size to the Technic ride at Legoland. There are sudden drops, quick turns, and breaks during the ride. It's quite the experience! At the top of the ride, it almost feels like you're truly flying. Make sure you hold on to the handle bar. The ride does move quick and can be a little harsh. The ride is pretty short though! The theme of Goofy's sky school is one wild ride, which you can see through the décor as you journey through Sky school. read more

I have seen this coaster from the ground and have been on it many times but for the most part when the kids ask me to go on with them I close my eyes throughout most of the ride. The ride itself is fun, it goes fast but doesn't seem too fast and there are a few dips. The only thing that scares me is the somewhat smaller track and the fact there is nothing else around you. The views are great, it's just every time we go on it feels like you are going to fly off of the track and I think that is part of the experience. If I were to imagine Goofy as a ride, this would totally be Goofy. It is silly, fun, fast and exciting all in one coaster. read more

I enjoy Goofy's Sky School very much. To coaster enthusiast, this is just a superficial overlay of Goofy's goofiness over what's apparently known as a wild mouse, which is a small, compact coaster with cars with very small capacity. It's nothing terribly exciting. You can usually find wild mouse types of rides all over county fairs and such. But to me, someone who doesn't in particular chases after coaster trends, I don't really have a stable access to this type of ride, (sans Goofy's,) and this type of ride IS fun. In fact, I will go as far as to saying this mini sized attraction packs a bigger punch than its neighboring big sibling IncrediCoaster (or formerly known as California Screamin'). This is especially true for the few nice drops during this ride (see below). The fact that the car only fits up to 4, and the vehicle is so small, every single action you experience on the track is very exaggerated. When the car breaks a turn, it's sudden, it's rough, it's aggressive, but it's "violently" fun. You almost feel like you're being swung out of the car, which is something they make fun of during the ride, as seen by the decor. (Take a look at the broken billboard!) The drops, because exaggerated, actually give me more "drop high" than the flagship coaster in Pixar Pier! It will also feel surprisingly fast even though it doesn't look like it from afar. Correspondingly, this is not the comfiest ride. So do sit back, sit tight, and stabilize yourself. My partner liked it, but was also equally surprised at how rough it felt. It's all part of the fun, guys and gals. The ride will overall feel like a condensed or concentrated jolt of fun. As some have mentioned, the ride time may not last very long, though considering most guests' tolerance of sharp turns and reasonable amount of jerking the passengers around, the relatively short duration may actually be aptly appropriate. The overall theming and decoration is nice. They did a good job of incorporating of the poor performance of student (and/or bad) pilots into explaining the sudden and pseudo-hazardous nature of wild mouse ride, and I commend them for making good sense out of such various elements. THIS is what made the ride all come together as a whole, and that's why it works. At least to me! Bottom line, this isn't for everyone, but I personally and most definitely think this is a 5-star winner, and one of the more exciting and even thrilling attractions DCA has to offer. Final note: I rode this during COVID restrictions, so there were only the two of us in our "plane". Considering how they often used to fill each vehicle with 3 instead of 4 before anyway, the wait didn't change much. It said it was going to be a 35-minute wait; ended up being more like 20. FastPass system available in the past; we'll see if and when it comes back. read more

This is your classic wild mouse roller coaster. With those little cars and sharp turns and drops, it may not look crazy, but it sure is fun. I stand at 6'7" and I was worried I wouldn't be able to fit at all. My first time in line for this ride, I asked the ride attendant if I can fit and he/she replied with, "Yes! We actually had a taller basketball player get on with little problem." There was definitely some problem getting on, but I was able to tuck myself into the back seat with my legs crossed. Getting out was probably the hardest part and took me a good minute. Tall people problems. Anyways, good ride, but very short. Also, there's a lot of bars when you go on those sudden drops, so make sure to duck down if you're a taller fella or lady. I probably wouldn't wait if it was longer than a 30 minute wait. read more

We actually rode Goofy's Sky School twice on Sunday, November 18th. Once during the day and once in the evening. The first time, there wasn't much of a line, so we just waited a bit. The second time, we had FastPasses. I believe the height requirement for this is 42", so the three older kids were able to ride. (They were about 4.5 to 7 years in age.) This ride actually reminds me of a ride at an amusement park back home. Once at the top, you zig zag around, so it almost feels like you'll be flung off the track. Really fun. Plus, there's some fast dips, so you get that mini rollercoaster feel. An exciting ride in the Paradise Gardens Park area. read more

As with everything at Disney, there is a wait time to be expected! The wait time was supposed to be a mere 20 minutes, so we thought, "Why not?" Um, during the ride, I thought, "Why so?" This ride is really one of those rides where you need to heed the warning (because there are some who don't think it is necessary... I would heed them on this ride!!): Per the website- "WARNING! For safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure. Expectant mothers should not ride." This roller coaster ride is at Disney California Adventure and is located in the Paradise Pier section of the park. It is a short ride (1 minute and 45 seconds). There is a height requirement of 3 feet 6 inches. This roller coaster opened originally as Mulholland Madness, but due to accidents, they closed it down. They reopened it as Goofy's Sky School which is a take off on Goofy's Glider. The cars seat 2 people in front and 2 in the back. You can get a FastPass for this ride. My first thought while waiting in line is, "Oh, look at the little children riding this! It should be a simple roller coaster ride to relax on!" Oh boy, was I wrong! There is no relaxing on this ride! It basically is a jerky and full of turns type of roller coaster! It IS fun, don't get me wrong on this, but it can tweak you as it makes its' hairpin turns. Other than that, there are 4 passes that are straight with bumps and still offer a thrill! I always thought this ride was not worth the wait, so I would just pass it up! I was wrong! Wait time was 20 minutes so we decided to get on! I dont think its worth waiting any longer than that but the line does move pretty fast and the "planes" are continously moving! The seats are small, so if your not average size you will have trouble getting on and off! The thrill of it is that it feels like your about to fly of tracks and splatter on the concrete! This is my son's favorite ride; he's 3. On the off seasons, we have gone on the roller coaster about 7 times in a row, in about an 1 1/2 hour time period. I remember when the ride was Mulholland Madness, and I'm glad they changed it to the ever loveable Goofy's Sky School. The line goes quick, due to the 4-person car being in constant rotation; better be able to time getting on and off well...can't tell you how many times I have lost my shoe in the car, due to panicking and trying to get off. And, it's a tight squeeze, which makes it hard to shove the enormous back pack I still lug around (with "just in case" items). Makes the transition in & out cumbersome. Overall, if you aren't a spaz like me, the ride is perfectly short, sweet and a little wild, filled with a few ups and downs...just like my 3 year old :-) read more

This ride is so fun! I love it because of the jerky swings it makes at the top of the ride. It doesn't matter if you ride it day or night because you still get nice views. The first time I went on the ride, my arms smashed against the side of the car. Then in the middle of the ride, there are a few dips that you can't really get at other rides at DCA (because there are so few "roller coasters"). At the end, they stop abruptly a couple times. Watch your neck. There used to be similar ride called "Muholland Madness" here, but I don't know why they changed it. After the Radiator Springs ride, this is probably the second most popular at DCA and does have a fast pass. I doubt the line goes past an hour though. They have multiple cars that can fit up to four people. read more

I really like this ride. It's over pretty quick so you'll forget about all of the funky, jerky twists and turns. If you have motion sickness issues or vertigo, do not get on this ride. I always hit my head on the side of this ride because all you do is go through these crazy turns that make your whole body hit the side of the car that you are riding in. There are two small drops and they're over before you see them coming. Well... when you're at the top of the track (which is very high off the ground), going through those tight hairpin turns that would make you feel like you're about to fly off the track, and that one steep drop midway through the ride that made me go, "That was so not cool!", you will change your mind about Goofy's Sky School very quickly! One star off for the cars being very tiny, meaning you will feel a bit cramped... and it's a bit tough to stow your stuff onboard. But, at least the ride was working, and the wait was about 10 minutes, so there you go. Thrill seekers, don't discount Goofy's Sky School! It's one of the hidden gems in DCA! read more

We all loved this rollercoaster, except my daughter. It is pretty much the first real "roller coaster my kids have been on so it was really interesting to see their reactions. The ride looks pretty innocent but little did they know, it has quite a bit of tricky sharp turns that over look the edge of about a 3 story drop. There's also a couple of quick steep drops that can put a knot in your stomach. Not only did my daughter hate both the sharp turns and drops, she ended up hating Goofy lol. After the first turn and feeling like she was going off the ledge, she screamed and gave that mean ol Goofy a piece of her mind! I on the other hand just could not stop laughing! For all of the headache and troubles she give me, this was just payback. This ride does have a fast pass station but Every time we've gone it's never been a line longer than 15m. Still nice to have the option. The height requirement on this one isn't high but definitely be aware of how sensitive your child is of both heights and vigorous motions. This is a great warm-up to start the day for more intense roller coaster rides, such as California Screamin'. My friends and I waited about 40-45 minutes (it was the winter holiday season, so wait time was probably longer than other times of the year), and we had a lot of fun. This used to be a car-themed ride called Mulholland Madness years ago, but now it's Goofy-themed, adorned with goofy posters of Goofy flocked by an army of chickens. It's a lot like Psycho Mouse from Great America, and the falls and twists and turns were thrilling for a short and sweet ride.
