It's a pretty fun, but very short ride! I wish it could be longer. As to be expected much of the ride has Goofy's personality. The ride is designed for the little ones, so if you're a big kid or a big adult, you might have a hard time getting in and out of those tiny seats! Each plane can hold up to 4 passengers. If you're by yourself, don't waste your Fast Pass on this ride, just get in the single rider line. read more

Lots of jerking around. Last resort because some of the rides were closed. I felt like this ride needs to be greased up. Bring a neck brace with you, because your gonna need it!!! I believe there's 2 drops and the rest is a lot of right and left jerks and pulls. My back was hurting and a major headache soon came afterwards. Not recommended. read more

SKIP! This has got to be one of the worst rides they have in California Adventure. I've ridden all the roller coaster-y rides in both parks and this is not one I would EVER care to do again. I thought they might have fixed some of the roughness of Mulholland Madness but they just slapped a new paint on this sucker and renamed it after one of the Disney characters. You're literally tossed around like a rag doll! The sudden stop at the end of the ride is powerful enough to cause some serious neck damage. My chiro appointment can't come soon enough! WARNING: This is for anyone that is over 6 feet. Do not sit on the left side of the cart (where you would exit the ride). When the ride starts to climb, there is a huge metal horizontal piece attached to the above tracks that is extremely close to the cart. In the deepest, darkest corner of Disney California Adventure, there exists an attraction that was once called "Mulholland Madness." It was painted orange, and it had vehicles that looked like cars. One day, they decided to paint it blue. They changed the vehicles that looked like cars to vehicles that looked like airplanes... and they opened it as a brand new attraction and renamed it... Goofy's Sky School!!! Dun. Dun. DUN! Hehehe. Although this attraction seems like an attraction that you'd find at a fair, I quite enjoy it! I find it to be far scarier than California Screamin' as when you're at the top of the attraction, the many sharp curves of track make you feel like you're definitely going to fly off! (Just don't look down if you're afraid of heights!) The height limit is 42", and there are FastPasses for this attraction. I took off a star, because it does jerk you around a bit with abrupt stops and slow downs. If you're really tall (vertically or horizontally), it's a hard attraction to fit into as the seats and lap bars on the vehicle are a bit small. read more

Once you pull down the restraints, you head up the lifthill which goes FAST. So we try to appreciate the view as much as possible. We then head into the first section of switchbacks which are cool since you get whipped around a bit. We then take another turn which jolts us around. you are set off into a nice big turn that just pins you to the side the entire time. We then hit some brakes before going into the BIG SCARY DROP! Which is fun. We then go through a turnaround into another small drop before going through more turns into the final brake run. Overall this is just the average Wild Mouse. It's fun, but I honestly don't see how building this was a smart move on Disney's part. It's just a generic Mack Wild Mouse in DISNEYLAND! You can find the same ride at Legoland and Knott's Berry Farm. But whatever. I wouldn't reccomend this ride if your time is limited because Disney has so much other stuff that's more worthy of your time, however, if you've done everything else then go ahead. You'll have a good time. This ride may be average as hell, but just be grateful it's not a dreadful atrocity like Coast Rider at Knott's Berry Farm is. Took me about 10 minutes to gain the courage to just get into line. I don't consider myself a roller coaster girl, but I've been proving myself wrong somewhat. I watched a YouTube video of the ride, to determine if it's something I can even do. The cast members told me it's not that bad. I did get on the ride and found the turns to be kind of nauseating. I'm thinking because of the fact that I was so nervous and it was really hot outside. As for the 2 dips, the first one was a little bigger than I would have anticipated. This ride is tucked in the back right corner of Paradise Pier near the Corn Dog Castle and Paradise Garden Grill. This little ride with the Goofy flight school theme is actually pretty fun. The small 4 seater cars were tight fitting, probably won't be comfortable for a taller rider. As deceiving as it is, this ride was really fun. Unfortunately, most of the thrill comes from feeling like you're going to fly off the rails on the sharp turns, and I hate that feeling. The straight parts are okay, though. This is a surprisingly fast and sharp little coaster for being up on top of a building! You can't actually even see this coaster from the ground. It used to be called Mulholland Madness. The ride is packed with sharp turns, drops appropriate for a young child, and a fairly short line in general. I love, love, love this ride! The super sharp angles really sets it apart from the other coaster rides. This is the new name, by the way, had a different name, which I can't recall at this moment. This is a short, but fun, mini roller coaster ride. But I didn't get to ride it last year (fall), sad face; it was super crowded and lots of areas were getting closed or shut down for things. I'd go on it again and again if i had the option! This is my favorite coaster ride at this park. I don't like the big one, because it is the only ride that made my belly hurt, and I'm talking, in my entire life, out of all the parks that I've visited. Besides California Screamin', this is the only ride where I hold onto for dear life. It's a mini roller coaster but the turns are so sharp that you feel like you're going to fall off the track. And they do this a number of times where I want to get off by the end. I'm sure this is fun and exhilarating but I don't really like the ride because you're going fast and suddenly braking along with the horrible turns. Fan favorite for thrill seekers though! And there are fast passes and single rider opportunities here! read more

And now, for your amusement, here are a few things uttered while on this admittedly short ride: - "This is rather alarming" (spoken after taking the first left turn, at the top of the first incline) - "What the hell?!" (screamed after the first high-speed turn) - "Oh, sweet Jesus..." (uttered after the third or fourth high-speed turn) - "I really hope they knew what they were doing when they made this thing!" (whispered after the fifth or sixth high-speed turn) - "Oh, goody...dips!" (said after the first drop) Now, to be fair, I love rollycoasters, and this was not the first time I'd been on this particular ride. True, back then, it was called something else (we called it the "Crazy Mouse Car Ride"), but it was pretty much the same thing. I think all they changed were the decorations in the queue and the paint on the cars. I definitely was not expecting to be so freaked out by the ride. It's never happened before, and I'm a rollycoaster fiend. So, when a ride makes me curse and say a quick prayer to either God or the engineers of the ride, you know it somehow got to me. There were no raised arms, no delighted "weeeeeeee!" screamed at every turn or drop, no "I'd love to do that again!" No, all the ride got out of me were a few minor curses and several clenched-buttocks moments. It IS fun, though. It may not be good for people who aren't fond of heights, since there aren't any barriers between the car and the ground - this is the one with no guardrails at all! The wait can seem a bit much for such a short ride. We were in line for about half an hour, but it wasn't so bad. We were lucky in that they were having a Lunar Festival at the same time, so we were able to see a bit of the performances from our place in the queue. This is an unexpected ride. #79 (2017) This is one of my TOP 5, TOP 5, TOP 5!!! of DCA. This ride shouldn't be considered a kiddie ride by any stretch! If y'all wanna think it is then I AM A KID!!! This ride is usually one of those rides that at any given time you can't really pick out if it will be super crowed or super dead. More times than not, it will be right in the middles and at that point the wait will worth it. With that said the line moves fairly quickly. Once you're up there you gotta HOLD ON! I mean it is Goofy giving the flying lesson yo! This ride will WHIP YOU, FLIP YOU, RIP YOU, DIP YOU, TRIP YOU, and ...IP YOU up, down, and all around! Even though I said it will whip you are around it is still very fun. With all the dips and sharp turns that are taken and that I expect, thats what makes this ride fun time and time again! Goofy's Sky School is a jerky roller coaster ride with a few drops to give a good thrill, however, I am not a fan of this ride. 1). It looks like a carnival/fair roller coaster that can be assembled and disassembled at any time; 2). The roller coaster makes these really sharp turns at the pinnacle of the ride that makes the rider feel like they are going to fall off the coaster (this effect is played to its best ability and I am not having it) but it could be a lot of fun for others who enjoy the thrill. Surprisingly entertaining! It may disguise itself like one of the kiddish Fantasyland rides like Peter Pan and Alice in the Wonderland. Don't let the light-hearted Goofy design fool ya. it actually got a couple hairpin turns and a nice stomach turning drop. Not that it's the craziest drop in the park but you can't help but wonder if your tiny cart of 4 won't be flipping over as you approach the near 70 degree drop. If only the ride was twice as long. My daughter's favorite ride at California! We have to come to this ride every time we enter Disneyland grounds. She is only 5 so this was her first "big" roller coaster. She was so nervous the first time and now gets so excited. I love it. The ride wait never seems to be too bad. It's only been 30 minute wait tops for us. The reason the wait takes longer too is because of the fast pass people that come in. The employees get those people in right away so it takes longer for the normal line. But, hence the fast pass advantage! The ride is super fun with the fast turns and a couple drops to make your stomach drop a little. Roller coasters always seem to make people smile...or bring up their lunch...but this one shouldn't do that to you. It's a fun ride to try with the kiddos or even an adult. read more

My middle son and wife enjoyed this ride. I liked it because it reminds me of the carnival ride I enjoyed when I was a young lad. The difference is, you add the Disney twist and you get Goofy as an instructor teaching us how to fly. I required a chiropractor, a neck brace, and acupuncture after riding this coaster. Though I like Goofy's flight school, I'm disappointed that they cheap out on this ride. It used to be Mulholland Madness, and then repainted it light blue and added Goofy. The ride is exactly the same. The decorations is mediocre. The ride is very short though the lines gets crazy long. But, that's California Adventure for you. Why the disappointment on my end? Disneyland has always been the top notch with going over the top for everything. They theme parks are amazing and magical. They should have made more drastic changes to this ride instead of adding a Disney character. This is very un-like Disney. This is my new favorite ride in DCA. It reminds me of the "Mouse Trap" ride at the OC Fair. I would always see the ride pop up on my Check In screen on Yelp but I never had any idea of where it was. Finally the hubby and I gave it a try as it had a 15 minute wait. We LOVED it. Jerky, fast, rickety, free falls and sudden stops. The cars are small so we have to fold our 5'10" frames into it. If you sit on the right hand side of the cart you will feel as though you might fall out when riding...weeee! We always head here to catch a quick ride before moving on to the bigger coaster. read more

"Goofy's Sky School" is a fun ride and one that I would recommend just because it's so different from all the others in both DCA and Disneyland. This "goofy" ride is like a hybrid of sorts--it's not an intense roller coaster, but it's not a slow-moving ride, either. The wait for this ride (it used to have a different name, but in the last few years it got a makeover) can get really long if you don't hit it up early during the day ... unless, of course, it's a slow day in DCA. Goofy's is located past "Ariel's Undersea Adventure" and at the very end of the Pier, before you see the restaurants. While I don't go on this ride every single time I visit DCA, I do enjoy a spin on Goofy's every now and then ... I just have to prepare myself for those sharp turns. And yes -- this ride is a VERY tight fit, and only four people fit in a car (more on that later). Here are some tips if you plan to take flight ... Get Fast Passes: If you're visiting DCA on a crowded day, the line for Goofy's can get pretty long. Definitely take advantage of the Fast Pass option and come back later. However, if the line is less than 30 minutes, just stand in it. At least, that's my maximum wait time for this ride! Prepare for a Tight Squeeze: I'm a small person, but this ride is a tight fit. As mentioned before, only four people can fit in one of these cars (which can explain the long line ... it can go really slowly), and you'll definitely feel cramped inside. Just don't make the same mistake I did and pull the bar down too tightly, or else you'll really suffer when you hit the sharp turns. Enjoy a Bird's-Eye View: I like Goofy's because it doesn't feature many drops or extreme conditions. You basically start at the top of the structure and make your way down via sharp turns on the track. From what I remember, there's one drop--and you do feel it in that little car--but for the most part, Goofy's features a bumpy ride more than anything else. But, if you're not too busy holding on and screaming, enjoy the view of the Park from the top of the ride. Conveyor Belt: Props to this ride for using the convenient conveyor-belt technology that makes the ride continuous, which usually guarantees quick loading and unloading (similar to the Buzz Lightyear and Haunted Mansion rides). However, since only four people can fit in a car at a time, loading still isn't the quickest -- especially if there are larger parties in front of you. Again, I would recommend hitting up this ride if the Park's not crowded (once the BF and I hardly had to wait at all), and if this is a ride you really do want to go on, get the Fast Pass. read more

This is definitely one of the more thrilling kiddie rides, or even the rides in general at California Adventure. The line was non-existent on a Saturday morning in October, and the ride operator even let us ride two times in a row without exiting the ride. It is what it is: short, sweet and very Goofy. You start by ascending in a 2 row, 4 person cart. (I'm 5'11" and it wasn't unbearably tight.) At the top of the ride, you travel back and forth on a loopy track with tight turns. You can see a great deal of the park from up there. There are two roller coaster plunges that offer mild thrills and then the ride is over. I don't know about all the thrill-seekers out there, but I thought this ride was plenty scintillating when I was a kid. If you must, request a front-row seat. Just enjoy the ride and embrace the spirit of Goofy! read more

I'm not exactly a rollercoaster fan but for some reason I LOVE goofy's sky school. Yes, it has a ton of extremely sharp turns and a few small dips here or there, but it's all fun and games! Whereas rollercoasters at Six Flags seem to be made just to kill a good three weeks off your life due to stress and anxiety. I think you will either love or hate this ride as I'm now forced to go on it alone, (good thing they have a single rider's line!) since my usual Disneyland partner hates it. But I think it is worth giving it a try at least once. Do not waste getting a fast pass on this ride. There will definitely be times during the day and/or night where there will be close to no wait. read more

Not good. It made more sense as Mulholland Madness, though the ride's still the same. Goofy has never been an appealing character to me and this ride just sort of makes it more stupid. The premise is that Goofy bought a chicken farm and decided to teach flying lessons. There are several steps that you "learn," like "how to lift off" and "how to turn" and "how to nosedive." The ride is really rocky and bumpy and the turns are are really not smooth so you feel like you'll get whiplash. Also, the cart is really tiny so it feels like you'll fall over any second. Seemed like the kid in front of me enjoyed it, though. read more

A few sharp twist and turns. A drop here and there. It's all around just a whatever ride and I wonder why folks really wait more than 10 minutes for. A side note, the seats are godly uncomfortable. I guess that's the biggest indication that it's a kids ride. It does have the same lay out as a dinosaur ride in Walt Disney World, so I guess there's that to compare it to. Is this worst ride ever? Probably not, but surely the worst at the two Disney parks in Anaheim. I am aware of this ride being somewhat of a big deal because I did some scholarly research (Wikipedia) and know all about this being a "wild mouse" roller coaster and all that. Kids may like this because it doesn't go too fast or drop too far; however, I was concerned that by the end of the ride I was going to be bruised from all the sudden whipping around and what not. The ride's theme is basted on the cartoon shorts where Goofy learns to do different things with some assistance from a narrator. I really wanted to like this ride because I enjoyed watching those cartoons growing up and thought 'Sure, there are barely a line for the ride, but it has to be at least slightly fun.' Regretfully, I felt like Goofy when he was being thrashed around in the cartoons - so if that was the idea then designers I must say bravo, but I think I'll pass. read more
