Our group came here for dinner and really enjoyed our meals. I had the pad Thai. I typically do not like spicy pad Thai, so I asked our waiter before ordering it. He said the spices are put on the side of the pad Thai and when it arrived it was neatly and placed on the plate in a way I thought looked very presentable.

We have come back twice since our first visit and it is our favorite Thai spot within a 15 minute travel time. The shrimp pad Thai here is SO GOOD. It's like a completely different dish from your typical takeout spots. And the kua kling here is actually not as spicy as I feared- but dont get me wrong, it's still a spicy dish. The morning glory is a slept on menu item. Can't wait to come back time and time again!

The ambience is nice and chill, very fun to look at round the resturant. Service was sensational very in top of everything. The quail egg wonton was sensational! Still thinking about it. My chicken pad Thai was solid! My friends green curry was supremely flavorful and hot.

Goog Thai Cook Shop tastes like the food I had in Thailand. I tried their lunch menu for the first time ever - went with the Green curry chicken (instead of beef). The chicken meat was very rubbery - otherwise I would have given it 4 stars. I love that lunch included a Thai iced tea - and rice - all for 16$ plus tax etc. The green curry was made with the little round Thai eggplants - and delicious. The rice was average. The portions were a good value for a lunch special. Would definitely try again - hopefully next time with less chewy chicken. In Thailand, they had some similar food - it wasn't Royal Thai cuisine - some restaurants in Bangkok feature it - it's incredible.

after a Gowanus art show, walked 5 minutes to Von Brunt St.. walked in and waitress gave option for inside or out back - beautiful early Oct eve perfect temps.. ordered a lychee martini - pretty nice tho tad sweet.. we were surprised no calamari and no shrimp (with curry) no tom yum soup as appetizer (only main dish fried chicken appetizer was piping hot and delish - dunked in sauce.. main courses arrived and both solid, yummy green curry with chicken - and fabulous beef curry mmm ordered a Laos beer for dessert and closed check approx 100 duckets

Probably the only one authentic Thai restaurant in Redhook! There are a variety of unique Thai food from North to South of Thailand. I haven't seen this range of them I'm aware of in the city. The staffs are friendly. The dining table sheets are looks nice :) They have a cute backyard too :) I slided in their happy hour time witch is from 5:00pm-7:00 :) had a one Shinha beer and Pad Ga-Prao rice with Pork! It was really tasty and flavorful! You can change some of more Thai flavor with the fish sauce on the side! It one of my must try Thai dish and I can tell this is an authentic and it is!!!!

Deliciousness served right for the lunch special, Chicken Pad Thai w/ spring rolls and a Thai Iced Tea. Thank you for a great takeout.

Everything was offered as one or two ounces pours, so you could sample a bunch or relish exclusive bottles. I had one ounce of the Lucky Thirteen for $15. I typically see the bottle at a $200-$300 price point, so it was nice to get a taste without the huge splurge. Wonderful aroma. Sweet and vanilla forward reminding me of marshmallows. Sweet corn flavor too eventually switching over to more spicy flavors from the run in the late flavor and during the finish. Staff was quick, friendly, and helpful. There was one single occupancy restroom. Dynamic atmosphere. Huge sprawling windows allowing plenty of breeze and sunlight when opened. They have monstrous black out curtains which can be draped to instill a classic dim and romantic speakeasy vibe.

The vibes are classy with an entire wall of bottles lit up for a nice ambiance. Since we had our pup with us, we sat in the patio. I ordered the Rye Tea Punch ($16) while the boyfriend got the 10 Year Old Fashioned ($16). It was so cute how my drink came in a little clear teacup, which was a nice touch. The only thing that was disappointing was the slow service. We had asked for the check, but it never came around after waiting 15 minutes. We had reservations to get to, so the delay was annoying. I ended up walking up to the bartender to close out the tab since we never got our check.

I arrived at 12:15 p.m. on a Thursday and was seated immediately as a party of one, despite the restaurant being completely packed. If you're hoping to grab lunch--especially with a group of two or more--I highly recommend getting there around 11:30 a.m. The service was thoughtful and attentive even at full capacity. I started with an IPA before ordering the star of the show: the Dry-Aged Cheeseburger (recommended medium), priced at $34. It completely lived up to the hype. Easily one of the top three burgers I've ever had, alongside Au Cheval and Nowon. Red Hook Tavern doesn't overcomplicate things. It's a "run up the middle" approach to burger-making: simple execution with exceptional ingredients. The top bun is slightly dense, while the lightly toasted bottom bun perfectly soaks up the juices. The patty is grilled beautifully, the cheese has an incredible char, and the onions underneath help balance the richness. It's a testament to how quality ingredients and precise execution can produce something extraordinary. I'd be remiss not to mention the cottage fries. They're unbelievably addictive and the perfect supporting act to the burger. Red Hook Tavern is a true NYC institution, and I highly recommend making the trip to Red Hook for this burger alone.
