So I had been hearing the buzz about this pho spot for some time and wanted to try it for while. So happy I chose today to try them out. A nicely lit environment , exposed brick wall bright lights , easy going light hearted music and chill. Diverse crowd and nice vibes. I was seated and my order was taken by one of the owners and she was so sweet. Even helped me choose what to try as it was my first time trying pho! Food4/5: Mama Q Wonton Pho was very fresh and tasty where I could taste the ginger in the broth and other ingredients incorporated. Appetizers: Fried Calamari 10/10 so delish! Drink : Mango Jasmine ice tea fresh and not too sweet but sweet enough. May need to stir it up a bit because the sweetness settles at the bottom. Service : 5/5 I was seated in a timely manner , got a text with my number & that I was on waitlist. The owners took my order , was pleasant and smiles a lot made me feel happy to be here. Ambiance : 3/5 Nice , simple nothing to over the top. Cute vibe.

Just remember these three words. Short. Rib. Pho. I give Phobar a warm welcome to Brooklyn as the pho here definitely warms my soul on a cold and rainy day. The short rib pho was excellent, served with bone and all. The rib meat was so soooo tender that i didn't need a knife to cut into it at all. It just melted away in the delicate pho broth and complemented the noodles perfectly. Also, I loved the complemented Vietnamese ice coffee made with coconut milk, which was a nice touch. Overall, the pho here was very solid for the area, and I will be returning if I need my pho fix and to try some of the other dishes.

Literally amazed!!! I ordered DoorDash from here for a weekday lunch. I tried the lemongrass chicken pho and had to get a Vietnamese iced coffee. Oh my god was I surprised. I wasn't expecting much, but this turned out to me one of the best meals I've had in NYC. The chicken is grilled to perfection and the broth is amazing. They even provided a pho spoon for takeout orders, which there is no better way of enjoying your meal! The iced coffee was also top 3 for me. It was strong but sweet and not overpowering. Did I want to order this again the next day? Yes. I wish they opened a little earlier so I can walk and grab a coffee before I type my life away but for now we wait until 11.

We came here for brunch on a rainy Sunday. We felt that a warm, savory broth of pho was weather-appropriate. We fell in love right away with the restaurant concept. Although there are regular tables, we opted to dine at the pho bar for the experience. We went straight down to business. My partner ordered classic beef pho, and I had the grilled pork chop pho with rice noodles served with cucumbers, lettuce, carrots, daikon, and Vietnamese chili sauce, topped with scallions and fried shallots. It was so hearty, well-portioned, and freshly prepared, perfect for rainy weather. With the good vibe, great price point, and friendly and attentive staff, this place is a must!

My second time here, and every bite was as delicious as my first time. We ordered the Vietnamese coffee and Thai milk tea for drinks. These drinks had the perfect amount of flavor and sweetness. Spring rolls were crispy and bursting with flavor. We also had oxtail pho and short rib vermicelli. The oxtail was very soft and pho was great. Short ribs still fell off the bone, but definitely felt much lighter than having the pho version. Service was great as always. Staff was very attentive. Please note this is a cash only establishment, but prices were very reasonable.

My daughter is the foodie and she never had Pho ( neither have I) . She wanted to go to park slope to eat . I looked up the place. Extremely hospitable and welcoming! The staff was great and recommended what we would enjoy . Great atmosphere . Cash only .

Very cute interior with different seating options available. If you're lucky you can get one of the booths. Otherwise there's counter seating that surrounds the bar in the middle of the restaurant or one of larger communal tables. Each seating area has chopsticks, poison sauce, and sriracha there. Service is on point; not coming by too much but often enough you're taken care of. My boyfriend and I were super hungry that day, and we had the bok choy and fried spring rolls as apps. They both tasted great. (Although I may have felt a bit guilty paying $8 for that small portion of bok choy... no regrets!) I ordered the spicy short rib pho. The short rib really falls off the bone and is delicious meat. There were also sooo many noodles in my soup! My boyfriend got the combo - classic beef pho and classic pork banh mi. Both were good and a great deal of $16 when you're feeling indecisive, although it wasn't amazing beef pho nor amazing banh mi. Still great meal though, and I'd go back!

Phobar seems to be a pretty popular local spot, and I can see why. They are a cash only establishment, but if you did happen to forget to bring any, they do have an ATM (not sure how much the fee is). For my drink, I got the passion fruit soda which was very tasty. My meal was the crispy catfish banh mi. Perfectly hit the spot. I did ask for mine to be spicy and it sure was - I'll probably ask for something milder next time, haha. Wish they gave a few more shrimp chips though, those are always so yummy. Really cute restaurant (their Halloween décor right now is amazing). Totally worth the visit!

This place is AMAZING. Literally the best banh mi I've ever had. It's cash only but I would go back a million times if Iived near it. They do have an ATM in the back.

21.90- (2) Spicy Brisket Lunch 10/10 The brisket was flavorful. The Spring Roll was crispy and delicious.

CASH ONLY!!!! I ordered the lunch special, which includes an appetizer, a small entrée, and a drink. I chose noodles, but it didn't pair well with the brisket. Rice or a salad would have been a better choice.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet. I been here a countless amount of times since October '24. The truth is in the broth okay?! I'll be back with another review because I'll be back at pho bar lol Let me tell you, the best soup for hangover, sickness, or when your stomach just needs a hug. They have great drink options, my favorite is the passion fruit soda. It's been a bit busy for the past few months but spoke with a worker the other day and you have to come at less busy times. We were seated around 4, IMMEDIATELY. Lunch had just finished and it was empty. Plus we finally got our booth seat lol. It gets so busy that you could wait for a few hours, we never had to, maybe 45 min with 2 ppl but if you request a booth, expect longer wait times. I enjoyed being here during the slow time, it was more relaxed and the workers seem more chill too. We'll be back, no matter the weather!

Sat at the bar with her friends on a cold Tuesday evening. It was still pretty busy which I was impressed with. As everyone is well aware this is cash only. We tried the chili wonton special appetizer and then we each did the half pho half bahn mi (both beef) classic. It was nice to sample both, the pho was good, as expected, nothing spectacular but solid. Bahn mi had good flavor

I usually prefer ramen to pho, but this place could change my mind. The Spicy Short Rib Pho was PHOnomenal! 10/10 I loved the flavor of the broth, and the meat fell right off that bone. The noodles were so good I wanted another serving. The spring rolls were fine. It's first come seating so make sure to get there earlier than your appetite and bring cash.

I asked to sub rice for noodles because one of my kids is a rice pot (can't go without rice) and requested extra sauce, which they kindly provided. The set meals are a fantastic deal; a full size entree, an appetizer and a drink for $19-20. An extra order of noodles is $2.50 and it's really double the amount of noodles that comes in your entree. I also ordered their new dish with has abalone and sea cucumber; this is not part of a set meal. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It has that umami sweetness that comes from a great soup base and the noodles are delicious as usual. The abalone was tender, the sea cucumber had a bite to it. There was fish maw and wood ear in there as well.

The scallion sauce isn't too strong and no aftertaste lingering like garlic sauce. If you're not allergic to peanuts, definitely add the peanut bits. It adds an extra flavor. 8/10 The woodear salad: very vinegary and crunchy. 9/10 The potato salad:crunchy and the flavor is just right. Mild spicy. 8/10 The original soup noodle: too mild. Barely any flavor. 5/10 The mala pork intestine soup noodle: I got the regular spiciness level and it was actually quite spicy. If you can't tolerate spicy food, try mild or medium first. The pork intestine is bit chewy. Otherwise the flavor is good. 8/10 The seafood tom yum soup noodle: mild tom yum flavor. The soup base is slightly on the sour side. Overall is good. 8/10 Thai style soup noodle: the soup flavor is good. Not too spicy. 9/10 We also tried the brown sugar rice cake: it's just ok. Not crunchy enough. The brown sugar is missing some caramelized flavor. So it is a sweet rice ball. 5/10 I think the temperature inside would be fine if you go during a cool day. When it's a hot day, the restaurant could get very hot even if they turn on both ACs. With just 2 ACs insides, and eating a hot bowl of spicy soup noodle, we were all sweating inside. Though the food is good, I would not return during summertime. It's just too hot to enjoy a good bowl of hot soup noodle.

We walked into a simple, fast casual setup that focuses more on the food than the atmosphere, with a clean, functional space designed for quick meals and takeout rather than lingering. The ordering counter is straightforward, and the staff moves efficiently, keeping the flow moving even during busy lunch periods. The hand pulled noodles are the biggest highlight, with thick, chewy strands that have a satisfying texture and hold onto the sauces well. We ordered a few different noodle dishes, and the flavors leaned bold with chili oil, spices, and savory seasonings that give the dishes their signature Shaanxi style profile. The stewed pork and beef options were both generous and filling, but the lamb dishes stood out with a strong cumin flavor that brought a deeper, more aromatic taste to the table. The lamb burger is another unique item, combining seasoned lamb with a crispy, handheld format that feels different from typical restaurant offerings. The noodles themselves are the main draw, but the lamb burger is worth adding to the order if you want to try something beyond the bowl. Service is quick and efficient, making it a convenient option for lunch or a casual dinner. Portions are generous for the price, and the menu has enough variety to try different dishes across multiple visits. The spice level can be adjusted, but many dishes naturally lean toward bold and spicy flavors, so keeping that in mind is worth it if you prefer milder food. Xi'an Famous Foods is a reliable spot for anyone craving hand pulled noodles and strong, flavorful Chinese dishes. The chewy noodles, cumin lamb, and unique menu items make it stand out from more traditional Chinese restaurants, especially for a quick meal that still feels distinctive and satisfying. It is not a place for a long, leisurely dinner, but for a fast, flavorful bowl of noodles that delivers on texture and spice, it hits the mark well.
