Bought 6 dozens of Xsmall oysters in the shells and wow! where they good. Counter service was excellent and I will come again and again when I can. You can't go wrong with their oysters. When you drive up, know you need to walk around the building to get to the store. My dad and I specifically stopped here for oyster shooters. I forgot our host's name but she was extremely personable. There is seating outside on a deck with a nice view. Stopping here made a nice memory for our trip! Was on a road trip to the beach so didn't try the oysters, but I'm sure they were fresh and delicious. You can eat at the tables along the marsh if you have time. Great oysters and location BUT... the signage to the store is non-existent. We arrived at the same time as two other couples, parked way too far up the hill and walked around looking super lost and nobody who worked there offered help. We actually all almost left until we stumbled upon the driveway and then around a random corner to find the store. Better signage would have made the experience better. On the other hand... the oyster shooters were amazing and the shot glass you get to keep was great! The bucket of pre-shucked oysters was perfect too. And their smoked oysters were delish! I like that Goose Point opened a solid retail storefront. It used to be you sorta wound your way thru the workers to a display case where you might eventually flag someone down for help :) My enthusiasm has waned - a few times, they're cleaned out of small/xtra small. Last visit, they pulled out two containers of xsmall that were a week older than the ones in the front of the display (12/5 instead of 12/12 in front). My expectation is that I'm getting the freshest available by taking the time to make a stop here. This is a big deal to me; you've made a special effort to pull off the 55mph highway and interrupt your trip JUST for oysters, it should be worth it. Nearby Ekone, they'll put together a container on the spot (assuming you've timed it right) and sign it. But its an effort and off the beaten track. The prices are no better, even worse, than you might find in grocery stores on the peninsula (Okies for example). I'm sad that it seems most Willapa producers are using single-use plastic for containers instead of the good old, earth-friendly glass ones. Jolly Roger Oysters still use glass, but i dont buy them due to incompetent sorters. Service has been good. But i'll probably just buy at Okies, if the dates are good. read more

And the very sweet cashier gave me a fried oyster straight out of the batch she had cooked for her own lunch. Try to find that in the city. Didn't see any signs offering a tour. This was an excellent stop during our long car trip from cannon beach to Aberdeen. It was amazing. They had a shop where you can get fresh oysters for less than $1 per oyster. They also sold clams and an assortment of other fresh seafood. The ladies who worked there were super nice and friendly. They gave us recommendations on what to order. Their bathroom facilities and outside dining area was pretty clean. You can walk over to the side and watch the fishermen unload their boats full of oysters. Great stop after a long drive. read more

This place is pretty freaking awesome! A dozen live oysters for 10$?! What? Literally less than half of what I pay in Seattle. They've got a cool little spot for you to sit and shuck or bbq, whichever you prefer. It's kind of like Taylor on Chuckanut, for those of you "in the know"; except more than 50% less expensive. I will say, though, that these oysters are not, to me, as good as the ones at Taylor. They're less briny and are not as "cupped." Maybe they're tumbled less? Dunno. Either way, they're still really good and this place is 100% worth checking out if you're driving by or in the area. read more

We were on an epic fucking drive, and saw this place, slammed the brakes and dove right in! A beautiful location, totally interesting to be so close to the working facility's and the super cool nice employees!!! We went to the little market/restaurant Area and the artwork on the board was so good, it was so clean and a super bad ass killer dude was being so chill and kind...you know when you go to a place and your like so interested but panicked cause the people won't let you fucking breath... how can I help you... blah blah blah... this was so chill. Absolute must stop!!! The attendant kindly helped us pick out what to have and brought me samples of the smoked oysters... Amazing experience. My husband and I were driving up the coast to Seattle to catch a flight and stopped by Goose Point oysters. We were not sure if we should stop because it looks like an industrial building from the outside. But I'm glad we did. In the back they have a small sitting area and a BBQ - you can eat oysters and grill them if you like. We bought about 2 dozens for $20, one dozen was pre shucked and they gave us lemons, hot sauce and cocktail sauce and the other dozen were fresh / live that we put on the grill. It was the first time ever that we had grilled oysters. They pop open from the heat and they were delicious. They don't sell alcohol but we brought our own beer - we sat out by the water and had an excellent time! I recommend it if you want to enjoy some oysters or if you're buying to take home. read more

This was a wonderful find on our way back home from a stay at Cannon Beach. The young woman behind the counter could not have been more helpful as she discussed their products and how to prepare them. We bought some home to fry (along with their custom-mixed breading mix) and they were delightful. We fried them for a few days solid after returning home. The shooters were great, too - amazing taste, fresh, delicious. We are delighted to find that they ship, and we will be mail ordering some soon! We've been stopping at Goose Point for a few years, whenever we do a road trip passing through. The oysters were always good. Last year August, and today again, they had a pink color .... Flesh is opaque, not clear or fresh, pink fluids and they tasted terrible. Just terrible. Not briny at all, bland and dull. Snotty. Last August we thought it was the "wrong season ", but actually, this was it. We won't stop there again, and since they supply a lot of local places of that area, we'll be on the lookout not to eat them again. Such a pity and disappointment. read more

This was my first time going to an actual oystery and I wasn't too sure what to expect. Well of course plenty of Pacific oysters and for just about $1 each. That wasn't too bad and there was outside seating with a nice view. So far so good. Then came the shucking...if you have never done this before it's definitely not as easy as it looks. They provide a large glove and a shucking knife. Some oysters were hard to open and broken shell got mixed into the oyster making it impossible to eat. We wasted about half until we got it down. The oysters were fresh and the staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be. Next time I'll order the shooters! read more

Driving on a road trip to Vancouver Canada, we stopped at Goose Point Oysters because of their great reviews and we were not disappointed. The half shells were rich and delicious, and the pre-shucked oysters were firm and meaty. The oysters here are much more flavorful and cheaper than you'll find in any restaurants. Lemons and a variety of hot sauces were all provided by the super-friendly cashier. Did I mentioned the location? Pristine and peaceful! You can sit on the outdoor patio and overlook the bay were your oysters came from, and if your curious to learn about the process, the staff will be more than happy to tell you. I bought the oysters with the blue band around them indicating they were "pressurized" and shucked due to the pressure at Whole Foods in Maui today. I absolutly love raw Oysters and have tried so many different varieties over the years from all around the country. I must say, the Goose Point Oysters were some of the best Oysters I have ever had.
