I just moved to Arizona with my 11.5lb Maltese/poodle mix who was in dire need of a haircut. We move around pretty frequently so finding a good groomer is always a necessity. The drop-off process was super simple and speaking with the groomer was also incredibly easy. She is the first groomer to do exactly what I wanted. Murphy looks incredible. He's 6 and this is by far the best haircut he's ever had. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. I am beyond satisfied. Recently had our labradoodle Moose in for a groom and they did fantastic! Moose is soft and fluffy, great cut and pricing is very fair.

Visited The Dog Spa for the first time today. I have a very timid big dog and we were nervous to take him to a groomer. We chose the DIY option. #1 it was only $18!!! #2 They give you all the supplies you need, instructions and they do the clean up!! We were in and out in less than 30 minutes! Staff was so friendly and compassionate. They also have a reward system. We will definitely be back!!! read more

We've been looking for a groomer that, 1) will follow my requests for how I want Scout groomed, 2) Scout isn't afraid of, and 3) doesn't break the bank. After almost two full years living in Arizona, I am VERY happy to say we have FINALLY found our place! The ladies at The Dog Spaw were super nice and listened to all of my asks. They told me it would be probably 2 hours until she was ready, and she was done in about an hour. Scout is not a high maintenance or aggressive dog, but I've been worried because she is afraid of the other groomer we take her too, and she isn't afraid of anyone. When I picked her up from The Dog Spaw, she had a BIG grin on her face, and she looked beautiful. I had briefly mentioned to the groomer that Scout has seasonal allergies, and she let me know when I picked her up that she didn't put any perfume or fragrance on her so that it wouldn't irritate her skin. How thoughtful! They even put a little bow on her collar for Halloween that we've gotten a lot of compliments on. I also really like that you can hang out at OHSO if you want while you wait. After about a year of trial and error with different dog grooming locations in Gilbert we have finally found a winner! We took our year and a half GoldenDoodle for a grooming! She did a FANTASTIC job getting to know our dogs likes and dislikes and she groomed him exactly how we asked! I took my mini schnoodle to the Dog Spaw to be groomed today and we had the best experience! We've tried a few different groomers in the past few years but couldn't find anyone that we really loved until today! Dana was so sweet and patient with our nervous older dog and she really took the time to see what was causing her nerves and minimize them as much as possible! I really felt like she was listening to what my dog needed to be comfortable instead of just getting the job done as quickly as possible! We are so happy with her cut and our dog was the happiest I've ever seen her after being groomed! They were super nice on the phone. Great start, right? I explained that my shihtzu puppy is a bit feisty & doesn't like being groomed. "No problem, we have lots of experience. She'll do fine." I arrived early & was told they MAY be able to do her face, sanitary areas (although she's being spayed soon, so not going to bother with that area), and paws. I didn't notice when I picked her up, but her paws had barely been touched, her tail had the same small knot of hair at the end so the tail hadn't been touched, and I had to cut the hair around her eyes that evening. I paid $48 for nothing but a bath and a hugely deceiving brush-out. I was also told her hair had been evened out from where I had attempted to cut it- nope, it's still patchy. AND I specifically didn't want a bow, bandana, or perfume. She had a bow wrapped so TIGHTLY on her head that I had to cut out, and they had added perfume. This place came recommended! I'm new here & know no one. I rely on FB suggestions for services. I wouldn't take my dog back there if it was free! It's very chaotic in there as well. Far too many people working with dogs- really too loud for shy, apprehensive dogs- or puppies. I wish they'd have just told me they couldn't cut her hair. I'd have had more respect for them. As it was, though, they took my money but did very little for me. My puppy was SO brushed out I couldn't tell if her paws had been shaped or cut- I couldn't really tell anything until her hair calmed down. They were blatantly dishonest to me. Never returning. I hope it was worth their receiving my $48 to receive this review. I could've done a better job! If I couldn't, I certainly would've let the owner know UP FRONT. read more

They really took care of him as it was his first time to a groomer. They took the extra time needed without charging us an arm and a leg. This establishment does not respect people's time. Cancellations are very common with the next available time in 3 to 4 weeks, after you have waited 3 weeks for the appointment. The same excuses: the groomer is sick, the groomer quit, or is on vacation. read more

I forgot to get the names of the people but the lady with the short blonde bob and the guy with the tattoos were incredible and I really appreciate that even though my dog was super fussy they still treated her super nicely and they didn't have a problem with it. This place is FANTASTIC!!!! They are clean, efficient and helpful. My boys and I took our German Shepherd (Archer) and Basset hound (Winston) in today for a DIY bath and they came out so clean! But the best part was that I didn't have to clean up afterwards and my German Shepherd didn't shake the whole time like he usually does. Austin helped me get them in the tub, explained the controls, and it was GREAT!!! Warm water, great smelling shampoos and an efficient blower that made Archer so fluffy!!! We will definitely go back!
