My favorite restaurant in all of Myrtle Beach. The staff are very friendly, the place is very clean, and they serve some of the best imported beer. My favorite being Hefeweizen! My family and I can always depend on having a great time at this restaurant on the weekends. Some of my favorite dishes are lobster shrimp Mac-n-cheese, simply grilled salmon, and the California chicken sandwich. Tired menu. Not enough waitstaff. We have been coming here for 5 years and used to be our favorite place in MB. Cushions in the bar table areas are so worn I felt like I was in a high chair. Our waiter was asked 3 times for water before we got any. We ordered a full meal and a couple of drinks each and tipped accordingly but we won't be back any time soon. When walking into the entrance, I assumed this place would be like any other commercialized beach restaurant. That is overpriced, and lacking in the service and food department. Sunday evening dinner, and spot on with beer, food and service. Our waitress brought us a beer sampler on the house, which caused us to purchase several of them. The blueberry and Czech beers were fantastic, incredibly crisp, clean and flavorful! We ordered the traditional Marzen bratwurst sausages and beer mushroom chicken. Both came with good presentation, sausages homemade with great flavor and side sauce of grain mustard and citrus both good. The chicken cooked perfectly juicy with mushroom sauce and garlic mash potatoes to die for! Dessert of chocolate brownie with walnut ice cream served warm, drizzled with caramel a hit! Overall good impression of this place, and hope to return on my next visit to Myrtle Beach! read more

Very Disappointing on this St Patrick's day! I had received an email from the Market Common promoting businesses offering specials on St. Pats day. They were offering a Rueben sandwich & side for $10.99. I personally don't care for corned beef, but the people traveling with me thought it sounded great, so off we went. When ordering the special, I was told it was $12.99, not $10.99 but after I provided proof of the email the price was honored. I order a Philly cheese steak sandwich for $14. What I received was shaved beef with cheddar cheese melted on top on a French roll. No onions, no peppers, no lettuce, no tomato, not even a condiment. I may not be from Philly, but that was the Saddest little sandwich I've had in many many years! So, if you're going by there today.... Stick to the Ruben, it looked a lot better & my friends were satisfied. I just feel taken advantage of & will not be back. read more

So nice we ate here twice over our vacation. The happy hour specials are excellent. The entrees are amazing as well. I had the lobster Mac and cheese the first time and you could tell it was made to order and was just incredible. We stopped in this place after walking around all the stores in the area. I was skeptical about the food but I was hungry and thirsty on a very humid and rainy day in myrtle beach so we took our chances and scored! This place has outdoor seating with a large awning overhead so you are protected from rain. It also has a large indoor section around the bar as well as a dining room. In the back of the dining room you can see the vats they brew the beer in as well as see the cooks in the open kitchen. I ordered a mojito which was so refreshing that I almost finished it in one gulp. The bartender made it exactly how I requested it (extra sweet) and my hubby got a great tasting beer that lasted all of five seconds. We ordered lunch - I got the pulled pork sandwich and changed the side of garlic fries to sweet potato fries while my hubby ordered the cheeseburger which came with the garlic fries. Our meals were outstanding. The pork was served on a brioche roll that had been toasted with butter and a large scoop of coleslaw was under the pork. The pork was overflowing from the sandwich. I had to scrape at least half of the pork off to the plate in order to eat the sandwich. It was so good I can't put it to words. Once the sandwich was devoured, I finished the other half of the pork while on my second mojito. YUM! The cheeseburger was good. It was pretty average but it was cooked to order. My husband likes his burgers rare or medium rare which most restaurants in SC will not cook. The law mandates at least medium. Crazy....but this place delivered on his request and he was very happy. The garlic fries were tasty. I was afraid they would be overpowering, but they were seasoned very well. The sweet potato fries were delicious. There was nothing left on either of our plates. The service was excellent. I will say that the dining room was virtually empty. Most people were either at the bar or sitting outside enjoying the break between rain storms. So, our server may have been more attentive due to the lack of tables inside but he was super friendly and kept checking in on us and got us our next rounds before we were dry which is a very nice bonus. This was our first time eating at Gordon Biersch and I would definitely try another location after this experience. If you're looking for a place to watch a game and get some good beer or just want to hang out and have some good food that isn't going to burn your wallet, this is the place to go. Really enjoed our dinner here. This was our first time visiting and we were really pleased. With five of us at the table and a mix of tastes this restaurant deliverd tastes everyone seemed to enjoy. I had some beef sliders, and we had a few appetizers wihch were great. The Calamari was good, not the best I've ever had but good. One of the others at our table had the lobster & shrimp tacos and said they were fantastic. The have a nice selection of beer (which they brew) and they offer small samples so you can check out the flavors before you buy. We will be back! read more

This place it located right in the heart of market commons which is the better of spots to hang out in myrtle beach. If you are looking for good heart food look no further this place has it. Which a solid beer selection and their menu it is a good place to grab a bite and start the night. The staff here is awesome hey are super friendly and the dining area is separated from the bar enough so you can have dinner here and not be "in the thick of it". I definitely recommend this place and it is one of my necessary stops when i am in Myrtle. read more

We went here for lunch on a Friday. We were all in the mood for a burger, and they did not disappoint. All 3 of us had the BBQ Bacon cheeseburger. My sister and I actually split one, and they were more than happy to accommodate us. They cut it before they brought it out, and split the fries and everything. The portion size was just right for lunch. We all just had plain fries which were good. We had 2 Hefeweizen beers, which they brew on site. In fact we were told by the server that they make EVERYTHING from scratch. I was floored, and quite frankly based on how good everything was, I believe it. We also had 2 of the dessert minis , both the chocolate cake. They are served in a shot glass. I enjoyed mine so much that I am not embarrassed to say I licked the glass. They were also offering a seasonal pumpkin vanilla cheesecake with whiskey sauce- so we got one to go. I was floored when we tried it. It was AMAZING. The service was good, the food was good, we will absolutely be back. The restaurant's bar opens to the outdoor dining area, and they have TVs with games on. The outdoor dining area is covered and looks like a great place to enjoy a meal in nice weather. This place is located at the Market Common, so a good place to eat before or after doing some shopping. read more

I had dinner here with my parents last week. The restaurant is decorated very nicely and has a large dining room, as well as outdoor seating. We shared the pretzels for an appetizer. They were soft, warm and quite delicious. I had the Oktoberfest burger option (I forget the real name). It came cooked exactly as I asked and was served in a pretzel bun with Swiss cheese, Dijon mustard and sauerkraut. The burger was awesome, but the sweet potato fries were cold and tasteless. My parents enjoyed the sausage platter and salmon. I would not hesitate to return. read more

The beers were great (would give 4-5 stars) but my mom and I each ordered the Creme brûlée and it came out absolutely disgusting. It tasted like a sweet stick of butter..very dense, nothing at all like it's supposed to be. The caramel layer was minimal and the whole dessert was semi cold, which made me think it was pre-made, thrown in fridge, and just given to us when we ordered. It's a fairly new development with a really nice town of shops and restaurants. After consulting yelp we decided to go to the brewery for apps. This place is great!!! Probably the worst service and food I've ever had anywhere! Burnt pizza, child's bow tie pasta dry! We asked for more sauce the waitress reluctantly brought us a shot glass of cold marinara! My steak was the wrong steak which happens but 20 minutes later got my steak with literally ice cold cheese on top of it. Never an apology from the waitress (inconvenienced) and it wasn't busy which should have been a clue on Labor Day weekend. The manager did take some of the food off etc. but having been a manager for a restaurant years ago I would have wrote off the whole meal for this disaster!! Don't go here it's really bad and most Gordon Biersch restaurants are great. read more
