The service is good. We were seated right away on a Friday night. We got a plate of the calamari to start it was really good but the spicy lemon sauce was a little weird. I got the grilled mahi with brown rice and apple cider slaw. The mahi was a bit over cooked and the slaw was unbearably bitter. My boyfriend got the Gorgonzola ribeye with mashed potatoes and vegetables. His meal was delicious! I definitely recommend his plate. The Gorgonzola butter was amazing. read more

Stopped in for appetizers over the weekend while out shopping around the commons. If you're a seafood person, their calamari was amazing - cooked perfectly!! We also ordered the blue crab and artichoke dip, which was a bit too creamy and cheesy I thought. I couldn't taste the crab or artichoke at all. Was still good, but not what I was hoping for. The garlic fries on in Yelp seemed to have been a big hit, so we ordered some of those as well. Definitely did not live up to the hype. Again, still good food! I would come back. My mom recently moved to SC so strait off the plane I was famished and she took me here. Thanks for the lunch mom! The waitress was very friendly and attentive, even though it seemed the establishment is super busy outside because of the great weather, we were able to get a booth inside. They have their own beer and it was pretty good. We shared an entree salad and one of the sampler platters. All great flavored and were brought out promptly. Ill be back whenever I can. Our waiter was so wonderful! We had a fairly large group since we were in town for a family reunion. The food was great and everyone loved what they ordered. I tried the fries...wasn't a huge fan considering I'm a fry lover but I had the grilled mahi mahi and added a vinegrette dressing to add a little to it and it was delicious. They have some really great Happy Hour drink and food specials, but they are only available in the bar/cocktail area. This is something the hostess failed to tell us when she asked where we would like to be seated. Seems silly that a table, literally, ten feet from the bar area isn't eligible for the happy hour. BUT our server DID honor the Happy Hour prices, which we greatly appreciated. I had some sort of strawberry cocktail and it was delicious. I also tried a beer and it was great. I was just coming out of a 3 day meeting with horrible hotel food and I was really looking forward to a well cooked meal. We ordered some garlic fries to start. They were good but there was SO MUCH garlic. I am a garlic lover, but biting into that much minced garlic left a horrible taste in my mouth. I had to buy gum afterward just to remove the taste. I had the steak flatbread as my entree. It cost around $14, I think? I was thinking it was so expensive because the steak, but when I received it, it probably had maybe 8 pieces of steak on it. The steak wasn't even good either. It was fatty and some bites were inedible. You would think for so little steak and the price, that one would receive better quality. All other elements of the flatbread were ok. I wouldn't recommend it when you order. Boyfriend got a burger with bacon jam and it looked fantastic. I was definitely having regrets for not ordering one. He said it was good, but for $12, he has had better. When it comes to drinks, this place knows what it is doing, but they could use some work on the food side. Possibly quit trying to make everything seem gourmet. That only works when you have good, quality ingredients that are cooked well. Overall, if your meeting friends for drinks, this is a great choice. Good drink specials and tasty concoctions. This place has one of the best house salads I have ever had and I know that seems like a small thing but I get it every time. The food is good. I love the calamari with the jalapeno aioli and the southwest chicken sandwich. My boyfriend and I never get a bad meal here. The garlic fries are great except you will need a breath mint! The staff is very friendly and the bartender knows our drinks already. It's a great place to go for a football game and they have a trivia night. Maybe for the beer, no way for the food... A family of four dining on vacation and only one out of four meals were good. The burgers were served luke warm after the waiter told us the kitchen was backed up and I wish I had a scale to weigh the very tiny 1/2 pound burgers. There was no way either burger was even close to the advertised 1/2 pound! My son was excited to eat Kobe beef and was not impressed when he finished. Eat American beef I always say!! In addition the buns they were served on were practically tasteless. The salad dressing on my wife's salad had the specific weight of mercury and tasted almost as bad. Don't get the house salad! The saving grace, go figure, was my daughters grilled cheese sandwich. Very tasty and easily the best meal of the four. We should have saved $60 and ate at Bojangles.... read more

Excellent (newer) menu items. Had a great meal there today and was blown away by the food selections and tastes. It was pretty loud all the way back in the dining area due to the people in the bar yelling at the football games playing on TV. I wish they had some kind of sound buffer because it was pretty annoying. But we knew what to expect as it is a bar/restaurant that's known for playing sports on TV in the bar area. So I can't complain too much about that, though acoustic barriers and electronic noise canceling systems for restaurants are cheap and common these days. They should invest in some. The server acted like he wanted to be any place except at work today. He wasn't particularly unfriendly, but he sure was not doing GB any favors by serving customers today with his lack of enthusiasm and curtness. If you're going to the bar for bar food and beers you'll have fun. If you're going for dinner I recommend trying somewhere else. It is usually very crowded but the servers generally do a very good job of keeping up with it. The simpler you stay with the offerings on the menu the happier you will be. My husband and I stopped here for an early dinner during our vacation. Their menu is extensive and it took us awhile to figure out what we wanted, we even changed our minds a couple times! I ordered a peach iced tea and the Milano burger with garlic fries. The iced tea was perfect, not too sweet. When the burger came I noticed that the marinated tomatoes are marinated cherry tomatoes. I probably wouldn't have ordered it if I knew that since I'm not a huge fan of cherry tomatoes, but at least they were cut in half so I figured I would give it a try. I did order it medium, but it came out more of a medium-well. The burger as a whole had good flavor, but was nothing to write home about. We showed up for Happy Hour during a rainstorm and enjoyed sitting outside under the roof. The beer is fantastic (try the Belgian) but the Happy Hour food is great. The salad with baked vegetables was simple and simply great. I went traditional and ordered a burger and it was tasty and wonderful. My partner had mussels and enjoyed them. Our only regret is that we discovered GB on our last evening in Myrtle Beach. Service was great and the whole Howard Avenue/Market Common area is a wonderful antidote to the beach area. read more

Maybe we are feeling a bit generous or the 100 plus degree heat that chilled by the robust micro brews but as far as gastro pubs go this one scored solid on a number of fronts. The gastro burger was divine and will score somewhere on your burger top ten list. The garlic fries are nice touch as a side for your burger. My boyfriend and I went in for dinner because he absolutely loves breweries and has to try them all. The beer I would rate 5 stars because we were there for happy hour and got 0.4L glass fulls for $3.50 which is a great price for original beer! They also offer the option to buy growlers to fill up and take home. However, I would probably only rate the food about 4/5 stars. Nothing was wrong with our meals at all, just wanted to see some more seafood personally and my salmon was about average. If your in town you have to visit here. Sidewalk seating as well as inside. Great variety of food on the menu. Very friendly staff and the food is great . We was waited on within a few minutes and the waiter was very helpful in explaining the specials and a good wine to compliment the meal. Also he gave us sample of the many beers that they have there.
