Cape Horn Estate - August Wedding flowers in bloom magnificent!

The bushes are hydrangeas and photograph fabulously and are overwhelmingly impressive to any guest that attends. Hoda and his wife are exquisite hosts and their catering services are fabulous and delicious. I would recommend this venue as the first to be reviewed if you're considering getting married. Mother of the bride review. Thank you !

The upper lot did not have parking spots or was it paved as it seemed to be represented. It was gravel and NOT ADA compliant. The lower lot, which can't be found referenced online, is at the bottom of a HORRID rocky hill with no safety rail or any safety features that allow elderly or poorly abled people to climb up to the grassy, hilly venue without potential injury. Definitely not safe at all and someday someone will get hurt. ELDERLY AND POORLY ABLE PEOPLE WILL NOT DO WELL AT THIS VENUE AND IT DOES NOT TAKE THEM INTO CONSIDERATION. Next, the toilet facilities offered are indoor toilets that have wet floors, toilet paper dispensers that don't work, and paper towel dispensers that don't work. The onsite manager was told two days before the event that the TP dispenser did not work, but it still did not work the day of the wedding. Clearly, they are not capable of taking care of their property when issues need to be addressed. The only other choice were outhouses. Chairs provided by the venue we broken and set up for guests to use. When clean up time came around, the onsite manager did not have bags available to replace the bags in their trash cans. The only bags she has were small kitchen bags and had to send for more. Maybe trash bags onsite were not part of the $$$$price. Only two bags were allowed to be left at the venue and all other trash had to be taken off site. I would STRONGLY recommend you DO NOT USE this site for your event if you want your guests comfortable access, clean working facilities, good onsite customer service, and accurate, updated online information that provides your guests with the best possible experience available. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. This venue needs to step up their game and make it a safe place for all people.

I tried their Thanksgiving "Sides-Giving" in 2024 to ease my stress level of preparing a perfect turkey & side dishes. Alpine Events provided me such an impressive spread for my guests! Their chicken apple sausage stuffing was a show stopper, their roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes with gravy had everyone swooning. And their relish tray was so thoughtfully put together, fresh and HUGE! I stashed that cranberry / raspberry spread just for myself, late at night, atop those delightful rolls. So good. Bonus: When I picked up my order, I was astounded at how lovely their dining area is. Gorgeous high ceilings with rustic exposed beams, lots of windows allowing the natural light to dance in and they've got their liquor license! Where have I been to miss this? Can't wait to sign myself up for their next pop up dinner. I'm hooked!!

We also had Busy Bee catering do the rehersal dinner at Alpine Events and they did an amazing job for 52 people with appetizers, and an amazing salmon & chicken dinner followed by fresh homemade strawberry shortcake! the bar had many lovely wines, etc to choose from. The setting for having a private party for GAME SHOW NIGHT OF "TOAST OR ROAST" followed by intimate sharing of this bride and groom was like no other place in Rhododendron. It was intimate, lovely and yummy!! Thank you Jan & Dani, you made the evening so special and memorable. Todd, Tony and other servers for the drinks & food were personal and professional, they served with joy. Thank you also for decorating with the orange runners, flowers, candles and banner we brought. It was all beautiful! We appreciate you! Janey & Jeff

When taking first time visitors out to this area, we often drive from Portland on the Washington side to take in views of Mt. Next we pass through Cascade Locks, we stop at the Marine Park to use the clean facilities and enjoy a picnic. There is plenty of room to spread out and it's never crowded. There is a small playground for the kids, lots of open space, and a boat launch and Marina. The park is well maintained and so peaceful.

Park amenities include a children's playground, open lawns, picnic tables, clean public restrooms, a gravelly beach, boat launch ramp, and marina. We often drive out to just sit and watch the windsurfers, various birds and boats go in and out. Unique views of the Bridge of the Gods is just downriver too. The Marine Park offers a variety of indoor and outdoor venues for special events for groups of 5 to 500. Such a nice place for a birthday party, baby shower, family reunion or even a wedding. Make sure to tour the Historical Museum while you're there and see the first steam locomotive of the Oregon Territory, the Oregon Pony. The Marine Park also serves as the meeting and launching point for the Columbia Gorge Racing Association's sailing events, and racing takes place in the waters upriver from the beach at the east end of the Park. Check their webpage for next year's Regatta in July. This is world-class sailboat racing in a world-famous big wind venue and not to be missed. Many professional sailors say it's "the best place in the world to sail."
