My friend and I walked in to a half full restaurant. It became a bit busier 10 minutes later, but we noticed that there were a lot of take out orders. I give this place 3 stars because it was fast, clean, and good for its price. This is a cheap sushi place with Hispanics/Latinos making sushi. Not that they can't make sushi but if you want good sushi you would find Japanese people making them just like you would find Latinos/Hispanics for good tostadas. We are so happy to have great sushi right by our house!!! Albany park is a food Mecca and gorilla sushi fits right in! Nice decor music and lighting to go with a consistently good sushi dinner. We will probably be back a lot because it's so delicious and close. Unfortunately, the worst customer service I've ever experienced given the quality of food at this location is much higher than others. After waiting 45 minutes for a small pick up order, we drove 30 minutes home only to realize they gave us the wrong order. After a second hour round trip back to get the correct order, there was no compensation offered to make up for the inconvenience aside from a small drink. Additionally, the worker claims they called several times to ask us to turn around when we had no missed calls. Never experienced such terrible service. read more

Awesome new Sushi place. I was walking on my way home from the EL (Brown Line) today on Lawrence Ave and I noticed a new restaurant had opened up. On the window they have this huge display of goodies for $2.95 each to eat. I stopped for a minute and looked at the menu. It all looked delicious. So i decided to stop in and pick up something to bring home and try. I ordered the cucumber roll (Fresh Cucumber and Sesame Seeds). The place inside is nice and clean. I'm sorry i couldn't stay and order more but i had things to do. I got home and tried the rolls i ordered and they were amazing. Simply delicious. The soy sauce and wasabi was delicious. And the ginger on the side was def. a yummy treat. There are more things to order then just the $2.95 menu. But i think its a great way to get people to come in and try the food. The other food they have looks delicious and i look forward to trying everything on the menu when i can. I would def. recommend this place for some good Sushi and getting together with friends.
