Very very Unsanitary, the plates they serve the food on are always dirty. The salt and pepper that they have on the table are always dirty as well, like it's never wiped down or sanitized after someone uses it. I'm a bit sad as I write this review. Boy how time has changed. I remember when Applebee's used to be crowded, no matter the day of the week. I visited today and my family and I were the only people dining in. At the bar had about 4 other people . Although the service and food was 10/10 it was sad to witness that people don't really go out anymore to eat. I asked the waitress as well, if it's this empty all the time. The waitress replied "It's been empty like this for a while now". All the food was fresh, and came out in a timely manner. I also enjoyed their happy hour drinks, and holiday special drinks. I'm usually am not a fast food restaurant type of girl but my daughter desired to come to Applebees and because she has been doing exceptionally well at school, i obliged. I had such a yummy time!!!! She had two orders of the children chicken tenders and I had steak and mash potatoes with 3 Young, Wild & Free Fruit Punches! Delicious!!!! The staff was AMAZING!!!! A young girl named Kiearra waited our table. She was bubbly, professional and knowledgeable! I would definitely come back to this location for a yummy time. When we arrived at 1:30pm , there was no one greeting at the front and we waited about 5 mins before someone came and sat us. They weren't even busy as there were still many tables available. One staff was resting with her head done on the table and the manger ( at least that is what I think he is, sat by the bathroom area just printing out picture of people). We waited another 5-10 min before our server came to acknowledge us and gave us the menu. She didn't come back for another 15min. Then we ordered and the wait began. Our appetizer came in 25 mins and then we waited another 40-45min before our main course came. It only came after we waved our server and asked her why was it so long. She had to go to the kitchen to inquire about it before we got our food. In the interim, we saw someone return their margarita because there was something in it. So not a good sign. My daughter and husband ordered the all you can eat shrimp , boneless wings, riblets and frieds. Their first meal came only came 3 riblets each and tons of fried. Our server was nice enough to ask them to put in their second order given the long wait. And it did take another 30 mins for their second course to come . This time my daughter only received 1 1/2 riblets and again tons of fries which we didn't ask for. My husband's got 6 shrimp and was overloaded with fries. This all you can eat is a ridiculous unless you want to stay there the whole day ! They gave up asking for a third serving as we didn't want to wait another 30min for such a small portion. My other daughter and I did the 2 for $25. Got the OM cheese burger . Very cheesy but burger lacked flavor. My daughter had the fiesta lime chicken, which was ok. Had a really great experience at Applebee's! From the moment we sat down, our server, Anna, made me feel genuinely welcome. She was friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu well. Instead of just taking the order, she took the time to suggest a few options based on what I was in the mood for -- which I really appreciated. I ended up going with the chicken quesadilla she recommended, and it did not disappoint -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and just the right portion. You can tell when someone actually cares about your experience, and Anna definitely did. The service overall was fast, smooth, and professional without ever feeling rushed. I've came to this Applebee's twice and both experiences were pretty underwhelming. First Visit: Came during the summer when it was nearly empty. No hostess at the door, so we awkwardly waited 5 minutes before getting seated, even though staff saw us. Ordered boneless BBQ wings, riblets, and the three cheese chicken penne. Food took a while, but our server was super nice. Wings and riblets were decent, but the pasta was a bit dry. Also, the celery with the wings looked old. Second Visit: Came back last Monday when it was packed. Surprisingly, we were seated fast, but the service felt super rushed. Our waitress seemed new. Our waitress asked if we were ready to order like every 30 seconds. I ordered chicken tenders with fries and the blackened tilapia. The wings were fine, but the tilapia was overly salty. The worst part? She kept trying to clear our plates before we were done. I even lost some of my fries because she took the plate too soon. Don't get me wrong, the waitress was very nice, but it made the whole meal feel rushed and stressful. Well, at the end of the day it is Applebee's after all. Can't expect that much. read more

Longtime customer, but this was by far the worst service I've ever experienced. Over 90 minutes after ordering the all-you-can-eat menu, we had only received boneless chicken. No manager in sight, no explanations, and no concern for customers. What was once a great restaurant has gone downhill fast. Saw that they had a AYCE boneless wing, ribs and shrimp deal and felt like it was our calling to go give that a try. Honestly, I dont know what i was expecting but overall, I can say that I am content with my one visit and wont be back for a while. Upon entering, we were seated immediately because we went for lunch- there were a few folks in there, most must be locals in the area. We got the menu and ordered our food. We tried the boneless wings and ribs first. Boneless wings were honestly just nuggets slathered in a thick layer of sauce that will fill you up so fast. Ribs honestly were not good. This location is pretty accessible by car, bus, or subway. I suppose you could sail here too and dock at one of the piers in Sheepshead Bay. Lots of TVs. So many. They have DirecTV, so I was able to request most of the conference tournament games to be broadcasted within my sight line. Bartenders kindly accommodated all my channel change requests. I was seated in less than five minutes that was the only positive thing. I sat at a table for approximately 15 minutes with no service being offered; not even a glass of water. As I waited for a server to arrive, I noticed several servers standing and sitting next to me talking and eating. Out of the 4 or more of them no one offered any assistance. Several servers walked past me, some more than once, and avoided making eye contact with me. Eventually the hostess that seated me walked by my table and I got her attention. I asked her who my server was and she gave me her name. I explained to her the problem and she went over to the table where the servers were sitting. She asked one of the where the server was that covers the table that I was sitting at. The server replied how long have they been waiting? At that point I got up and exited the restaurant. The manager was there in the back of the restaurants sitting at a table located in the vicinity of the bathroom, close to where the servers were congregating. Yesterday, I went to Applebee's at this location and for the first time left feeling disappointed. The usual bartender is Key (not sure of the correct spelling of her name) and she is awesome! She makes the margaritas taste like they are more than $5 and her service is great! When she is not there La-Von was serving and he was great too. Yesterday was Claudia. Now Claudia was very nice but those margaritas tasted like lime water. For my second drink I asked her to add more sour mix hoping it will have more flavor but NOPE. I will be calling a head of time to see if Key or La-Von is there before going because I felt like I wasted my money yesterday. Never in my life did I think I would see valet parking for an Applebees, but there's a first time for everything. No free parking lot anymore, ONLY VALET or street parking. We were seated for over 30 minutes with all staff forgetting about us, not giving us water, not taking our orders, not even walking past us to flag anyone down. This is probably the worst expletive I've ever had at any Applebee's. The fountain drinks tasted as if there was no syrup. The alcoholic drinks sucked horribly. Don't get the apple sangria, it tastes like straight bitter red wine. We had so many issues with the food. Mistaken meals, burnt ribs, dry Alfredo, burnt desserts. It was absolutely a bad experience. The worst experience here. Sat ordered food and drinks. Appetizer cane without dishes so we ate over the one napkin we received...drinks never came. Server never checked on us. Worst service ever! From the server Cyn R taking over 5 minutes to greet us, taking a drink order and app. But the way never introduced themselves Drinks took 15 minutes, 1 beer and 1 cocktail. Cocktail was made wrong because they are out of ingredients but never told us. I went over the the bar asking about the drink but had to find the bartender sitting outside the bar watching tv.. Apps came out 1 by 1 15 minutes apart, never provided napkins at all, not even a sharing plate. Could t find the server but the server next to us couldn't help us out and said to get our server. Apps came out just warm.wanted to order more drinks so we don't eat our food with even a water but no service. Ordered twice thru the kiosk on the table and both beers which were ordered 10 min apart took 15 to come and both at same time. When my entree came out we waited 15 min for the other but never came. Finally went to speak to a manager because again server no where to be found. Find out the server Cyn R never placed the 1 entree even though it's the first thing we ordered, but all items ordered were never repeated back. All in all never going back.
