We went to gossip shack last weekend, when we entered we were bit hesitant as only 2people were there, but it was 11:30am and the restaurant was opened at 11:00, so we decided we'll try this place. Place looked clean, they have tv but they told its not working, guy who took our order was nice and friendly, we ordered 10wings and fries, they gave us a free drink as it was our first time. Wings were crispy outside n moist inside and it was light not much oil that's what we liked, crispy but not oily. Fries were so so good. Food n service it's a 5star place but even dine in they serve in foam to go box which I don't like, and we asked for a plate they offered foam boxes. Wings and Waffles can't beat that! These breaded wings were crunchy and very flavorful. The waffle was amazing, fluffy, sweet with hints of butter. I got their CPR (Cajun Parmesan Ranch) dry rub with a vanilla waffle and their PurpleAde. The only complaint that I have was that the wings were room temp when I received them. Gossip Shack has super friendly staff, the atmosphere was quite chill and relaxing during lunch when we went, and the music selection (90's R&B while we were in there) sounded great coming off a solid sound system. The wings were cooked to order, so you'll need to allow for a good 15 mins. or so for them to fix your food, but the wait will definitely be worth it! The wings came out fried to perfection: crispy on the outside, steaming hot, and dripping with juice. The wings were a good size -- one of my drums looked like the whole front section of a chicken breast almost -- and were cooked very well (and were delicious). The flavors were unique indeed and tasty, and that BUSTDOWN BBQ is not to be missed. It tastes like their own recipe of BBQ sauce and had a nice molasses or cane syrup taste to it. We tried fries and dirty rice (a.k.a. Cajun rice or rice dressing) and were well pleased. I might ask to hold the extra seasoning on the dirty rice next time, since the rice itself was already seasoned very well and was delicious. I am excited to explore more of the menu. Gossip shack definitely has some of the best wings and great quality meat. The batter is the perfect amount and it doesn't feel super heavy either. I've had this on my list to go to for a while. While the inside of Gossip Shack 2 definitely has a small business feel which isn't a bad thing just wasn't what my impressions were. (We are inside instead of to-go) The staff were super helpful as it was my first time and made sure the food was good. Everything from the lemonade to the chicken wings were beyond my expectations. I will be coming back and recommending to everyone I know. For everything in the pictures (two meals and two drinks) was about $22/w taxes. When I first came in the gentleman kept asking someone else to take my order so that he could keep talking to someone else. The other person didn't help me so I just stood there. By the time he was done with his conversation he asked what I wanted. I listed the food I wanted to order and he said, "oh, you want to order food?" I have 0 idea why Anyone would go there to do anything but order food. Anyway, he takes my order and lets me know that he doesn't know how to select the sauce I want but will write it in. I waited for over 50 min and saw other People that came in after me get served first. Also, each person was greeted in a friendly manner. Far different than how I was treated. I asked for a refund the refunded the wrong order. The young gentleman said the refund is correct, but I let them know it wasn't and it needs to be done right or else I wouldn't get my money back. The young lady that was the most helpful refunded the correct order. All in all I will not be going back. I have never been treated so rudely. I have been here 5 times before without issue, but this experience was upsetting. I had to get to work so I didn't get to eat. She asks the cook and the cook tells her that the order was already made. They cant find the order so i have to wait another 20 mins for them to make the order. The wings were good but the hassle wasnt worth it for these expensive ass wings. We come in together and you totally don't even acknowledge me.
