Issues with Goswick as stated in my em to them... The way you lost my very expensive designer frames that I trusted you with and the poor way it was "not" handled was unacceptable to say the least. just had my annual with my new eye doctor and it was found that one side of my progressive lenses were misaligned. Now I understand why I always felt off balance wearing the glasses! Another issue that you could not fix....simply stated "sometimes it takes time". Another issue was the tint on my sunglasses. As you know they had to be returned to get the correct darker tint that I had paid for. Highly unprofessional practice and untrained employees for the most part. I had great experience!!! This was my first eye exam ever. The staff was very friendly and informative. highly recommend!

Bought glasses in December and the prescription has been wrong on the three times now. Last time I requested Jake call me to figure out what to do next. He never called so I went in to talk with him. I waited several minutes while he smoked a cigarette. Finally I went out and asked him to come in to talk. He responded with "what I can't take a break." Yes you can take a break but not while you have customers. That's just basic business practice. Rather than talk with me he grabbed the glasses which still have the wrong prescription and put them down in front of me. I told him I wanted a refund and he walked away are refused to help. He refuses to process a refund for a product I have never received and was never made correctly. When telling him that this would not be the end he began yelling at me that I was threatening him. Completely unprofessional and disgusting business practices. I've gone here for several years and never had an experience like this in the past with the old staff. Jake is completely unprofessional and I wish I had seen all the other reviews about him before deciding to continue going here. Be careful doing business here unless you want to throw money at them and get nothing in return. I ended up having to dispute the charges with my bank, contact the better business bureau, and the attorney general to get this taken care of. read more

Overall I have had good experiences with Dr. Siegel and Paul, the optician; however, there was a time during the pandemic last year when there was a different optician, Jake, and my opinions drastically changed. He was sometimes unprofessional and actually became angry with me when I questioned the continued delay of my glasses, which then arrived without one of the features I had paid for. My experience with him did not prevent me from returning to Dr. Siegel for an eye exam, and I was very happy to learn that the former optician, Paul, was back. I will add that when I first started going to Family Eye Associates, I did find the receptionist to be unfriendly and indifferent, but that did not reflect the services I received from either Dr. Siegel or Paul. read more

So after purchasing expensive (read as overpriced) glasses that fit poorly from the jump back in April of this year, they started falling apart about two weeks ago. First one nose guard, and then the next one. I fixed that, easy enough, and somewhat expected. Then the arm became loose, I tightened it. Then it became loose again and the metal snapped inside the arm, I affixed it with a bonding agent. Then it went again just a day later so I said it's time for something new. Not having any desire to be bilked by Family Eye Associates again, I went online and found a designer frame, with top end prescription lenses for over a hundred dollars less than what I paid at Family Eye Associates, great! All I had to do was put in my script, and measurements. When I consulted my script which was given to me by Family Eye Associates it had no measurements. When I called to get them they informed me that they do not give those out to the people WHO PAID THEM TO TAKE THEM. And this, in conjunction with ludicrous markups, is why I will never recommend Family Eye Associates to anybody, anywhere, ever. Go to any other brick and mortar shop that doesn't hold medical records hostage, or go online, but stay away from Family Eye Associates. read more

After three attempts at new glasses, I still cannot wear my new lenses. My previous prescription had not changed, but for some reason, one of the lenses on my new pairs was always out of focus. The optometrist was understanding and accommodating. At my last visit to pick them up, the optometry technician essentially said he 'had done all he could' and walked away from me! He never even adjusted their fit or wiped off the ink marks on the lenses. I am glad I have my old lenses otherwise I would be having to pay another establishment to correct these just to see clearly. I will not be returning and I will go back to a larger establishment as previously. Very disappointing. read more

I did not enjoy any part of my visit to this office. I have a vision plan from work and had only a limited amount of choice for where I went. I went with my wife who also needed glasses. We arrived in the office to not be greated by the receptionist. I introduced myself and told them we had an appointment. She seemed disinterested as she appeared busy with personal phone calls. I saw the doctor who did was not very friendly or personable but seemed to know what he was doing. I little rough with tilting my head. After I had the chance to work with the gentlemen who was very rigid about how he does the fittings. I picked out my glasses and he did have some helpful suggestions. My wife was rushed with the process of picking out her glasses and the man just stated "I don't have time for this" and moved on to working (Hiding) in the back room. She was not offered any reasonable accommodations and she had to go to another office with her prescription. I would not recommend taking a chance on this office. The glasses were very expensive and the customer service was horrible. STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE ABLE!!! read more

I had a terrible experience with this practice! I went to this office to get my son's contact lense exam and fitting done. Right after the follow up, they asked if I would like to order lenses for my son. They told me the insurance would cover $130 and I would only paid $20 for two boxes. Their price was $75/box. They never gave me a copy of the prescription and I thought I had to order lenses from them. After I got home, I called the insurance company and found out I could buy from other places as well. So I browsed online and found the same exact lenses online (webeyecare) for half of the price. So I called them back trying to cancel the order. The manager asked me why. I told her I found them cheaper somewhere else. She said to me "for $20, what more are you asking for?" I was shocked by her reply! I tried to explain to her since the insurance gives me an allowance of $130 to use, I can buy them for $30 a box and get 4 boxes without even having to pay $20. She insisted "you only paid $20". She didn't seem to understand I am actually paying $20 extra plus getting 2 boxes less. The "you are only paying twenty dollar" quote is just deceiving! She then passed the phone to the owner-Dr Siegel. He told me he can't cancel the order for $20. I said to him I understand if the order cannot be cancelled but since the manager asked me why, I am telling him why. He too insisted "for twenty dollar I am not going to do it". He then asked me to go somewhere else and not to go there anymore. What kind of customer service is that? My family (5 members) and I have gone to Family Eye Assoc in Holden for a few years. I ordered progressive lenses for myself. I spent A LONG time asking questions about these lenses because they were expensive and I have never had them before. WELL, I was lied to by Family Eye Associates. I was told I had 30 days to decide if I wanted these lenses and then if I did not want them I could return them. I was even told to take the ENTIRE 30 DAYS because I could get other lenses because of the guarantee. LIE!! Here is the catch - THAT THEY DID NOT TELL ME. I will not get the money back OR if I get different lenses I WILL NOT GET ANY DIFFERENCE IN MONEY. It turned out, medically I was not able to wear the lenses. I had doctors orders which I told them about. I NEVER TOOK THE GLASSES HOME. I NEVER LEFT THE SHOP WITH THEM. THEY TOOK APPROX $100 of my money. I told them they never said I will not be getting money back. I quoted them exactly what I was told and they said "well, you wont get any difference back" I am still waiting (2 weeks now) for regular lenses to come in . It usually takes a few days. I was told I was taken off the roster and don't know when I will get put back on..... NICE !!! Take my money, lie to me and then take me off the roster???? NEVER GOING BACK. read more
