a cake with a fish on it

This was my husband's 40th birthday & our theme was a "fishing" theme - she made a TUNA on the side of this! It was chocolate chocolate & SO MUCH CHOCOLATE! The one thing that my husband absolutely LOVES! We ordered so many desserts & EVERYONE devoured them - This Chocolate Cake in my husband's words "WAS THE BEST CHOCOLATE CAKE HE HAS EVER HAD" - Rachelle absolutely did an amazing job & we will definitely be using her in the future! THANK YOU THANK YOU!

I've been wanting to leave a review for Got Sweetz but my newborn took over my time :) Anyways, Rachelle was amazing to worked with. Last year when we were looking for a cater for our wedding cake, my husband and I wanted something simple and not too sweet. We went to two other cake tastings but they weren't as good as rachelle's. We showed her what design we were hoping for and she totally delivered. So of course when I got pregnant and we wanted cake and cupcakes for our baby shower, we went to ask her to do them. And again, she was so easy to work with! Super nice and all her creation are amazing! Our friends also loved the cake and cupcakes for both occasions :) thanks for working with us Rachelle! I think we found a go-to cake cater for all future events!!

With so many decisions in wedding planning, I'm so glad we decided to order a cake from Got Sweetz! Rachelle was easy to work with, and she delivered my vision beyond my expectations. It was absolutely beautiful, elegant and best of all delicious. It was worth every penny, not only for the looks but the amazing taste!

There are few times in life that you need a wedding cake. When my daughters cake maker cancelled with 10 days until the "I DO's" and over 225 guests expected, my daughter started to panic! She called a few places and didn't want to go with them for one reason or another she was about to give up and "just get any cake". I told her I would call a few places for her. Rachelle was my third call and you know what they say; 3rd times a charm! She made an amazing cake at a more than generous price, delivered to Valley Center and told me not to worry!!! She delivered on her promise. We got a 4 tier cake. Chocolate, Chocolate Raspberry, N Banana Nut WOW was it moist n delicious!!! The banana nut was to die for!!! We will definitely be using Got Sweetz again!!!

I was working with Rachelle on some cake pops for my daughters birthday. I ordered 5 dzn and was very excited about them. I raved and couldn't wait. Her website had alot to offer. I ordered the monkey cake pops 3 different flavors. Rachelle and I went back and forth on the arrangements. After this was all done and approve she wanted to arrive early for setting up the display she called the facility where I having my party at and they were okay with her arriving at 945 AM. I paid my invoice on time 10 days prior to the event. The day of the event she arrived at 11:15 I was being charged by hour and party was from 10-1130 since I paid Rachelle ahead via pay pal I was afraid I was just taken. I received an email at 947am yes an email not a phone call that she was running late I decided to call her at 10:40AM to see what was going on and what her status was since it is almost an hour later from when she was suppose to arrive, she stated she was going to be 10 mins late(already an hour late). She had 26 days total from day we emailed to the day of the event. As well requested to arrive early which I stated I wasn't sure if that was possible to set up early since i was paying for an extra half hour for this event. When she finally arrived the display was already set up she just carried them in and set the cake pops on the table.. I had 1 face undone and a bunch smeared... I was unhappy with the service provided and the sad thing is I brought my left overs in work and everyone asked where I got this from and asked if these were the ones I wwas excited about.. I stated I WILL NOT REFER her and told the story and they all agreed and asked what she did to make it better... Well I think if it was handled a different with better customer service and being a start up business owner who's work is based on referrals as well quality my review may be different. But as you see it did not the way she provided customer service and what she felt would make me happy as well as a referral for her business.. well here I am writing this review I spent $$ on 5 dozens, $2.00 a pop as you can see her pricing. And had some unfinished or not so nice looking cake pops but also arriving 15 mins before party ended.. you decide. As for yelp some may be friends responding. She is based in Escondido and Party was in San Marcos even the facility was disappointed and wouldn't recommend as well my guest all felt as it was a last minute job since about a dozen of my monkeys were melted and smeared or no face. The topper of this is you have to return the stand within 4 days undamaged or I'll be charged a $25.00 fee which was the amount she offered to pay for being 1 1/2 late and not the best quality of work. I was not going to pay extra for shipping so her stand would not get damaged nor want to be charged for returning her stand late either. OR there goes the damage cost fee for her being late she credit me for... I do not recommend and customer service is a thumbs down.

I sent Rachelle a picture of my wedding cake and asked her to recreate the top tier for my 10th anniversary. She did an amazing job for an affordable price and the cake tasted so high end. Would recommend her to everyone! Here is a pic (I put the flowers on top myself to match my original wedding cake)

The wedding cake was dense, dry and not at all structurally sound. It started to tip over 3hrs after delivery. Would not recommend.

Chicken katsu sando 5/5: my favorite. I love the spicy mustardy sauce not sure if it's in the actual brown katsu sauce or separate mustard. My bf didnt like it but i loved it! Chicken also juicy and soft. The milk bread is so fluffy and lil sweet and perfect pairing. The pesto spread was good though. It was creamy and the artisan bread it was served had great variety. Ambiance: 5/5 This place is such super cute. To me, it tasted very similar to a flavored hazelnut latte from Starbucks. Even with reduced sweetness, it was still sweeter than I prefer and had a slightly artificial flavor. If you enjoy flavored Starbucks-style coffee, you'll probably like it, but it's just not my personal preference. I actually didn't finish my drink because the flavor wasn't for me. That said, the cashier was very sweet, and the dessert display looked beautiful and tempting. While the coffee didn't win me over, I'd still come back to give their desserts a try since they looked much more appealing than the drink I ordered. Overall, a nice spot with friendly service, but next time I'll be skipping the flavored coffee and trying one of the desserts instead.

The shop is super cute and offers individual cakes that are the perfect size to share... or keep all to yourself--I won't judge! My sister and I shared the mango cake, and it was delicious. The cake was light and fluffy with fresh mangoes layered between whipped cream. I also loved that it wasn't overly sweet. The crunchy waffle cone crumbles on top added a nice texture and made each bite even better. We also wanted to try the mango mochi balls, but we got there later in the evening and someone bought the last order right before we checked out. Talk about bad timing! We ended up trying the matcha mochi balls instead. I'm personally not a matcha fan, so they weren't for me, but if you enjoy matcha, you'll probably like them. My sister was more than happy to finish them for me. Next time I'll definitely come earlier so I can snag the mango mochi before someone else beats me to it!
