Gott's continues to be a spot my husband and I swing by when we're back in the Bay Area. The food is fresh, we tried their onion rings on this visit and were very happy. Definitely a staple. Service is always great and their open seating with windows open for a breeze is relaxing!

I've been to a couple of other locations. Good burgers, fries and more. Tried the corn that was pretty good. This place gets very busy and there is a lot of seating. Good option for a quick meal in the downtown. Staff are excellent and very helpful if there's an issue. You Gott to try them if you haven't already.

Casual Spot with a Great Indoor-Outdoor Vibe! We had a beautiful day out in Walnut Creek today and decided to stop by Gott's Roadside for a casual bite. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish! The Vibe & Atmosphere The space is incredibly bright, open, and airy. Even though you're sitting indoors, the massive open structure makes it feel like you're sitting outside. It instantly gave me the breezy, expansive vibes of an outdoor concert pavilion or open-air amphitheater. It's the perfect casual setup with comfortable bench seating and a gorgeous, light-filled aesthetic. The Food & Drinks We didn't snap a photo of the food because we dove right in, but everything hit the spot: The Western Bacon Burger: Perfectly made, featuring a really nice, thick, crispy onion ring inside that stole the show. Garlic Fries: Flavorful, hot, and the perfect side. The Strawberry Lemonade & Rosé (image_5.png): I am not usually a big soda or sweet drink person outside of the house, but this strawberry lemonade was so good I willingly paid $3.50+ for a second one! Pro-Tip on the Drinks: They serve the drinks heavy on the ice. For me, that's a perfect catch-22 because it keeps it cold and dials down the total sugar intake. But if you're someone who wants every ounce of drink and doesn't mind the sugar, definitely ask for your ice on the side! Sweet Treats Note: The milkshakes looked incredibly thick and delicious (the peanut butter one caught my eye!). However, we passed on the cookies displayed at the counter. Visually, they looked like flattened-out dinosaur eggs--a bit dry on the outside (though they might be moist inside!). We decided to skip them based on appearance alone. Service & Cleanliness The ordering system here is great-you order at one window, they give you an old-school buzzer, and you pick up your food on the other side. Customer service at the counter was quick and efficient. I was also incredibly impressed by how diligent the staff was; they were constantly coming by to pick up trays and ensure absolutely no trash was left floating around. Even the bathrooms were clean, bright, and airy.

Googled to find restaurants near me where my wife and I was in Walnut Creek yesterday and came across this spot. Just by walking up to it, you knew the food was going ti be good because there were many ppl sitting outside and the line was out the door. They automatically have menus waiting for you by the door and the special of the day posts both with words and pics. This spot has everything: burgers, salads, wraps, chicken sandwiches and etc. They serve beer, wine and hard alcohol. They even have a frose. However, just know the process area a bit steep and you do not get any sides with anything. Everything is sold separately. This spot is hugh btw. Plenty of seating My wife and I both ordered the California burger. I took off the balsamic onions and added lettuce and tomatoes. We shared regular fries. I also ordered a special of the day which was street corn. My wife ordered a cobb salad and froze. I had a water with lemons. They gave us a buzzer item to alert when our food came. We opted to sit outside in the sun. Once out food was ready... my wife went inside to pickup, my wife had to return the fries because they were cold. Everything wise came hot and so good. The burger was so big and juicy lol. Everything we had was fresh. My wife was surprised with her salad presentation, the size and the lemon vinegeratte that it is served with. She bust it down. We were both very happy with our food choice for lunch...as you can read..lol.

Still amazing. If you are looking for a great ambiance and an easy place to take the family, this is it. It is a bit pricey, but the food is well worth it!

The restaurant is huge! There are a few outdoor tables on the side of the restaurant and a massive space indoors. When it's crowded, it can get noisy. Service was good. No complaints - fast and efficient. The menu was okay. It was a challenge to find something for someone with dietary restrictions though.

I didn't know quite what to expect from Gott's Roadside, but I certainly did not expect them to be so allergen friendly. I was able to order my hot dog with a lettuce wrap instead of a bun, as well as veggies with hummus and remove the bell pepper. The fries were extremely tasty and about a step up in my opinion, from In and Out, and the smoothie was quite tasty. I also loved how well everything was packaged. Overall I'd say it's not the highest quality out there (I'd like to see them move to a better of a hot dog vendor), but I really liked the ability to accommodate and customize for allergies, so I'll absolutely be coming back.

I've been to a few of Gott's Roadside location. Sentimental fav is the original Taylor's Refresher in St Helena. My most visited is the Napa one. Tried Larkspur and this was my first visit to the Walnut Creek one. The food was delicious and ready in an appropriate time. The counter was friendly and helpful while the other staff members kept the tables and grounds clean. It ought it was a bit loud but maybe I'm just getting more ornery LOL! Good experience.

I did a pick up order for sweet potato fries and it was kind of a long wait just for fries. It was busy inside of Gott's Roadside. On the other side of the restaurant there's a place you can pick up your order near the condiments and bar area. I would eat their sweet potato fries again.

Unfortunately, I have no photos to show for our meal. That's because I never got my salad and the waffle fries took 30 minutes and were not as described. The mangers were very nice and accommodating given the poor service. They normally have the best chicken kale Caesar salad. Today may have just been an off day. I will return- maybe not on a weekend until the season is over

We chose this spot over others in the area for our 31st anniversary dinner because it had easy seating with no long wait -- and it turned out to be a great choice! I had the veggie burger while my husband and daughter enjoyed the chicken burger and fish tacos with garlic and cheese fries. Everything was fresh and flavorful, especially the garlic fries and margarita refresher. Service was friendly even during a busy dinner rush, and the cozy wooden tables with soft music made the ambiance feel warm and relaxing. Only downside was the cheese fries were a bit soggy. Loved that they also offer small ice cream scoops for dessert. Definitely coming back to try more vegetarian options!

Got takeout from Gott's on a Friday night and was really satisfied with it! The crispy chicken sandwich really hit the spot. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The quality of the ingredients really stands out you can taste the difference. Service was quick and friendly, even during a Friday rush, and the space was clean and comfortable with plenty of seating inside and out. Parking can get a bit tricky depending on the time of day, but it's worth it. Gott's continues to deliver that elevated roadside experience delicious food, thoughtful service, and a fun, California-casual vibe. Definitely a solid go-to in downtown Walnut Creek!

I've been to a few locations now, but this one was really good. The food was yummy. I got the Gruyère and Onion burger with sweet potato fries and fried Brussels sprouts. The sides are so good and the burger was perfect! We got our food after 15 minutes even with busy restaurant. The inside was spacious and bathrooms clean. Parking is difficult.

Moved out here recently and just happened to stumble upon the name and immediately had to get my hands in this burger. It did not disappoint! It's so hard to find a tasty veggie burger that's not dried out with a nasty after taste. This my friends, is an absolute MUST!! The quinoa and brown rice are cooked to perfection and for the most part, the patty keeps it shape. Plus the outside is just slightly crispy, giving the patty a good crunch! I usually order the cod sandwich, and they assured me that it's not cooked in tallow, actually they said it's cooked in olive oil which I'm not sure is correct, but at any rate I didn't taste any beef fat and it was delicious. Also, I have enjoyed their shakes made with cashew milk in the past, but now they use something different, and they still taste pretty good. What the employees on duty told me conflicts with the website, but they said this location uses Oatley oat milk, and they actually showed me the carton to prove it. Now for the service, the man taking my order seemed new as he didn't know much, but was able to answer my questions by asking the manager on duty, which I appreciated. Also he got my shake order wrong but apologized multiple times and got me the correct one. Since I couldn't order fries or onion rings I wanted a side salad, but unfortunately they were out of it! So a questionable experience overall, and I may choose to dine somewhere different next time as there are many restaurants in this strip-mall location, plus Whole Foods across the street. As far as ambiance, they have ample indoor seating and a nice outdoor patio with music, which is partly sunshine, partly shade, and of course popular with dogs and their owners.

Cons - No employee approached a male dog owner over his pit bull excessively howling / yelping over another dog. A couple yelps, fine. It kept going, it was loud, the silver-haired Boomer was taking his sweet time to ( not ) control his dog with respect to other people in the patio area. So, dogs are preferred over people, no one on staff to politely ask the man to control the dog immediately? One more thing: the barking was such a nuisance that I and another customer were looking back at the owner to see if he was taking care of it, the customer quipped about the dog going to be attacking him, if anything, I joked that I'd be fine, he then suddenly held up the numbered signage for his order ( w/ metal stand ) saying he was going to hit me with it. ( No light-hearted tone, moreso irritated and aggressive. ) And this is how suddenly bad things happen, how a customer spews out a verbal threat ( technically criminal assault ), linked to an out-of-control situation with a pet owner and his dog and a restaurant that won't do anything about it. Simple Solution: Train employees ( or remind them ) to assertively and cordially request owners to keep their dogs peaceful and quiet. Otherwise, it's sweeping a problem under the rug. Not smart nor respectful of other customers. Being Fair: If you like the energy of a loud restaurant, whether it's music and/or dogs barking, then you should be fine, drinks and all. If you love dogs, yet want them responsibly controlled in an environment where you seek to maintain an actual meaningful conversation, this establishment is a roll of the dice.

So what better place to dine in to celebrate out 2nd Year Wedding Anniversary at The Hideout Kitchen :) We went for dinner. Our server was KEVIN. Simply...HE IS JUST AWESOME. He knows the menu, he knows the history, and has amazing stories to share with everyone. Great guy. A lot of people there that night seemed to be celebrating something. The noise was a bit loud that I felt I had to almost yell to have a conversation with my husband. But the vibe was great. I enjoyed looking around at the decor. We ordered: - TRUFFLE FRIES for appetizers - I loved everything about it. haha. Tastey! - linguine & clams - I ordered this. It was good. However, I felt it was way oily. And after every bite I took, I had to wipe my mouth. And I accidentally spilled oil on my shirt. - PASTA ALLA CARBONE with steak - My husband enjoyed it and started to get full towards clearing out his bowl haha. - SCALLOPED POTATOES - I ordered a side of this. Definitely was not expecting to look the way it did, but I thought the presentation was beautiful. It was good; however, I was not a fan at how crunchy and hard the top first layer was. In a few areas, it was almost burnt. But I thought it was pretty good without the need for a type of sauce on the side. - For drinks, I had to Summer sangria and my husband had the Rumble in the Jungle. We enjoyed it. Definitely hit the spot. No complaints at all about these drinks. - And Kevin surprised us with a dessert to celebrate : Cranberry Bread Pudding. This was delicious. Very flavorful. I am not really into Cranberry, but this is definitely an exception. Loved the fruits on the side as well. The Hideout Kitchen will always have a place in our hearts. We will definitely come back. We still need to try this place out for Brunch. We need to try their UBE pancakes! hehehe. And thanks Kevin for being amazing that night!

Good music, good service, good food, good night! Grilled Octopus appetizer was citrus & spanish spices, garlic aioli, tomato & caper tapenade; just how we like it Linguine and clams: chablis, heavy cream, butter, sweet onion, garlic, manila clams, fennel, lemon. Beautifully crafted dish, a favorite done right. Kids sliders were filling, good options for kids. I'll be back for sure!

I love that you can choose the doneness of the patty. I went with medium, and it came out perfectly cooked. The bun was soft, buttery, and rich without feeling too greasy, and every ingredient seemed intentional and added something distinct to the burger. It is a very large burger, though, so be prepared for it to get a little messy. There is a restroom where you can wash your hands, but it requires a key, so bringing hand sanitizer or wet wipes may be helpful. Overall, the burgers are definitely on the pricier side, but I thought the quality justified it. I'd happily come back again.

I've always enjoyed A+ Burger. The turkey burger is delicious, which is why this experience was so…read moredisappointing. I order my turkey burger wrapped in lettuce because I don't eat bread. What I don't understand is why I'm charged an additional $2.50 for the lettuce wrap when I'm not even getting the bun. If you're taking something away, what's the justification for adding an extra charge? I could understand a modest upcharge, but $2.50 for a few leaves of lettuce is hard to justify. I can buy an entire head of lettuce for about that price. What bothered me even more was that no one mentioned the charge when I placed my order. It wasn't until I picked up my food and saw the receipt that I realized I had been charged extra. Customers deserve to know about additional charges before they order, not after the fact. When I politely asked why there was a $2.50 charge, the employee simply looked at me and said, "I don't know." There was no explanation, no offer to ask someone else, and no attempt to address a perfectly reasonable question. That level of customer service was just as disappointing as the surprise charge. The burger was excellent, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. At this point, I don't plan on coming back. Or maybe I'll just bring my own lettuce next time. Better yet, just give me the burger without the bun, and I'll wrap the damn thing myself when I get home.
