Tough to give a 3 star review because the food is good. We come at least once a month (for a few years) after church. Although the staff is nice and seems to be working diligently, the food timing is laughably bad. Today from ordering at the counter to receiving our final food was 25 minutes. It has always been bad but it has gotten worse. If you like to eat together, be prepared to have your food sit in front of you for a while. My first time eating at Jack's Urban Eats. Located in a strip mall and parking was a bit challenging even around 4:00 pm. There was 12 of of us and some ordered salads and the others ordered sandwiches. Everything looked fresh and delicious. I am only reviewing my order of Reuben NY Sandwich and fries. The Reuben sandwich was really good. Good portion and tender. After I got home and looked at my receipt I noticed I was charged a full order of fries instead of the $3.95 fries that you get when ordering a sandwich. Wish I had looked at my receipt before I left! I contacted Jacks Urban Eats and asked about being charged for the fries as full order and Jacks took care of it and refunded me and apologized for the mistake. Always a fan of Jacks Urban Eats! This place offers an assortment of items to choose from - mostly sandwiches, soups, salads, and mac and cheese. We always get the Urban Fries - 100% a must. Fries with blue cheese and some spices. The cheese is melted and blends sooo well with the flavors. This was my first time trying Jack's Urban Eats, and it was pretty good! For food, I got a classic tri tip sandwich. I thought the tri tip itself was pretty great. The meat had a nice chew, without being dry or overcooked. The mustard sauce was super tangy but also sweet and delicious. The bun was also perfectly soft. My wife got the chicken Caesar salad. Everything about the salad seemed very fresh. The chicken was moist and flavorful, the croutons were crunchy, buttery, and garlicky. The veggies were very crisp and fresh. My wife didn't love the dressing--it was a bit on the bland side for her. But it's possibly her favorite Caesar salad in the area so far. I also loved the entire vibe of the place. Pretty cozy, but it will get loud once it gets packed. There's a great variety in the beverages, including fresh lemonades and teas. Being able to grab your own utensils is great too. You can see the kitchen cooking and the front staff is very kind. I love Jack's Urban Eats, I always have. Back in the day it was a place we came to after school. One thing I always get to share with the table is an order of the urban fries. I'm not usually a blue cheese fan, but this hits the spot! Order some of these! My go to order is the steak salad, sub the blue cheese for Feta, it's filling and is the perfect meal on a hot day. Once in a while I'll order the bbq tri tip sandwich, the bbq sauce is also really good with it. The service is quick and it's always busy here. One thing about this location is the parking is always full, there is a parking garage but sometimes one side will be closed and when I went a few weeks ago the side I wanted to park on the entrance was closed so I had to go all the way around. read more

I mixed white and dark meat and for my sides I had mashed potatoes with gravy, Beary sauce, and mac & cheese. It lived up to my expectations. The turkey tasted like it was homemade. We got two salads and split them between the 3 of us. It was a smaller salad than expected. It looked like a half salad versus a full salad. My dad got the salmon on his. I tried it, it was only ok. A bit on the dry side and tasted a little fishy. Nothing like the salmon we BBQ ate home and buy from the Chinese fish market. He was happy with it. There was just enough salad for the 3 of us. You get a bigger bang for your buck if you order one of the menu salads. I would order the summer salad again. It was very tasty. The decor is really nice. I like the California Dreaming sign. It makes me think of The Beach Boys. My mom loved the painting of the bird with the abstract background and heart. The temperature was a little cool inside, but not bad. The bathrooms were clean. Food does not really have a good presentation vibe. Food is also a little too pricy. I ordered a burger with tri-tip and it was like all tendon red/pink meat. It was hard to eat and it was over $12 without fries or anything. That's a little depressing. This is mainly self serve besides for them to bring you the food, so it is best to not tip them because the price is on the higher end. I love this place even more than I did before. Walked in for a halloumi sandwich and had the pleasure of meeting Austin, one of the business owners. I asked about what could be made for my gluten free son. Being a chef himself, he was so incredibly knowledgeable about celiac restrictions and advised that most anything on the menu could be prepared gf by their staff. They have implemented extra precautions to their preparation that enable them to do so, including removing gluten from their sauces and marinades, without sacrificing flavor, adding a separate prep station, shipping in special gf buns for sandwiches (after lots of taste testing to find the perfect bun) and dedicating a fryer for fries only to prevent cross contamination. Talk about nirvana! This is the next best thing to a dedicated gf restaurant. They even pack gf meals separately to go from those containing gluten. I'm beyond impressed. My son chose the chicken club sandwich with fries. He dove in when I arrived home and the way he was wolfing it down said it all. He said the bun was delicious, and good gf bread is tough to find, so his approval says a lot! He loved the entire meal and said he wants to go back again to try more options. The real test came in the hours following the meal when he didn't have a gluten reaction. We now know this is truly a safe place for him to dine. My halloumi sandwich was phenomenal per usual. So many flavors converging. I especially love the fried zucchini touch. This is a must try for anyone who likes vegetarian meals. The staff members are always so nice and more than willing to accommodate, making the service exceptional. Highly recommend this place to anyone, but thrilled to add it as a great place for those with dietary restrictions as well. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's a casual place. Your customer service counter needs time for education not to be rude. The store barely had customers in it and after my experience I know exactly why. Needless to say there are other restaurants that provide the same food. I may be one customer but if you staff provides the same sub par service why choose you? If a customer comes up to the counter serve them answer their questions. The cashier was literally taking my order when I asked why the price difference from online then proceeded to just walked away and left me there until someone asked if I needed help. I said yes your other person just left me here. Your customer service is awful. My order was simple. Then they proceeded to ask me if I wanted my tritip sliced as if I had a choice I said no if you don't have to, I can slice it at home. He then proceeded to tell me it's either sliced or chopped.
