Everything has butter in it, and lots of it. Being a not-so-secret member of the cult of butter, I love the place! Everything I have had there is delicious. Turnovers: 5 stars. Flaky, tasty, and the right amount of fillings, because the PASTRY is the star, not the filling. The supporting cast is good, but the pastry is so good! Croissants: if you could go 6 stars on a 5 scale, this would be it. The fruit filled ones are amazing, with the apricot bing my personal favorite. Or is it the Pan Chocolate? why pick sides when you can have both? Kouign Aman: if Croissants are a 6 on a 5 scale, the Kouign Aman is a 11. You feel like its spinal tap, turning it up past the top of the scale. the rich buttery taste, crispy sugar, and cardamom hints are beyond mortal taste. The heavenly choirs must get worn out breaking into song every time someone buys one and starting munching away. Tarts: since i have used up all the hyperbole, a 5 star almost seems unfair. they are very tasty and my favorite the raspberry with pistachios, although the mixed fruit is not only very visually appealing but tasty as well. If anything gets less than 5, it would be the savory croissants. They are still 4 stars, but please get some real ham, black forest ham is not french nor is it very good. The savory scone was amazing. Overall, the service is ok, i can see why people might complain, about the speed. Not bad, not fast. Just go with the flow and enjoy some great pastries. The layers of it are just to die for too. The breakfast burrito was good, they say it's shakshouka scrambled eggs but I think it's really just scrambled eggs and a little bit of shakshouka sauce. It's honestly a nice shake up of a breakfast burrito because it already has veggies & good quality bacon. Would definitely get again - oh and it comes with a side salsa. The breakfast croissant is lovely - their awesome croissants with cheese, eggs and your protein of choice! Sadly we didn't have a greatest experience when we came here. We decided to go through the drive thru and the girl over the mic and at the window was seriously the worst. We tried to be understanding since we know it was busy Sunday but we waited over 25 minutes for our two items and both were cold by the time they got to us. They were also super bland and seemed like they had been microwaved. I love their pastries so I assumed I'd like their brunch too but I was definitely wrong. I'm not usually sensitive to staff members attitudes but this one was hard to ignore. She was constantly rolling her eyes and even slammed the card reader on the counter after we paid. We ended up getting the bread pudding, cheesecake and chocolate raspberry mousse. My husband LOVED the bread pudding! He said it was 10/10. I LOVED the cheesecake! I wanted so badly to like this place because we got a recommendation to go here and it was a gorgeous place with gorgeous pastries.. but the Reuben was difficult to eat. Literally. The pastrami itself was inedible. I tried to cut it, rip it, bite it, it was like plastic jerky and wouldn't come apart. However, the rest of the sandwich was really good actually as like a fancy grilled cheese and I enjoyed it without the meat! The fries weren't anything special either. Ok parking situation and some outdoor seating. You can also go in and order at the counter to go, or sit at one of the few tables they have for guests. The biggest thing that ticked us off was their service. Our server Liezel was just not with it. After that, we specifically told her to please please make sure none of our actual food has meat on it since we are all vegetarians. I got my breakfast burrito with bacon in it. I was so upset and she didn't apologize initially and had an attitude. She said no one meant for this neglect. She was not taking responsibility initially. We decided to try this newer location because we love the downtown location. Big mistake. We were quickly seated and after 10 min were given water. Another 15 min, no server, no acknowledgement, nothing. I had to ask the host kid about the brunch menu and he didn't know what I was talking about because their menus may be different from the downtown location. We were wanting to get the salmon croquet that used to be a Saturday special. I can accept changing of menu, etc. I could not accept sitting and waiting forever for a server to even acknowledge us. Found this bakery because they started making Boss Biscuits for Ted Lasso fans! My husband drove up and they were packaged the same in a pink box and when we opened the lid there was a little army man like Ted got from his son and shared with others!
