He had to leave a small hole where he dug down to fix the piping issue to let the pipes dry but came back in a couple days to fill in the hole. Eureka! Finally found my lifetime go to plumber in the Monterey Bay Area. Caleb and his asst. Zack were careful and thorough in inspecting my 70+ year home's plumbing and gas system. They discovered the exhaust to the water heater had a hole and the gas line had several small leaks requiring a complete replacement. A section of The hot water line under house was showing corrosion and possible eminent leaks too so they replaced a 10 ft section as well. That said he was able to quickly schedule an appointment for them to return and repair everything and recheck the entire water pipe system to insure everything up to snuff. This also included checking everything and flushing the water heater for 5 years annually. A couple of days ago, we noticed our shower, toilet and sinks were backed up after running a load of laundry. We asked around to friends and family to see if we could possibly borrow a snake to fix it ourselves but had no luck! Thank god GP Piping(Specifically Caleb) came to our rescue! There's no corroded fitting, the rusted part was the sink hole cover, which I explained to him, and to shut down and drain the whole house takes 5 minutes, quick turn of the Lever outside and open the hose and a few faucet to let the water out and done. I know what you're doing. You're trying to make it seem like your time is worth that much but unless you charge $400/hr and your anticipation is 3hrs then I understand but $1140 for probably only 1-2hrs of work is ridiculous. I work in the fire sprinkler industry you cannot fool me with your attempt to explain how difficult it is because it's not I just don't have the time to do it since I work 6 days a week and we deal with bigger 4-8inch fire sprinkler water lines and those take about 30min to drain, so for you to try use the excuse it's going to take time to shut the water line down and drain the system explains you're not a company I want to hire. I was only shopping around on yelp with another price I had gotten at $200 from a different company but your price was ridiculously high $1140 for labor for a small R/O filtration system installed under my kitchen sink already assembled just need to connect it to the sink hose line, It's not a whole house filtration system. My whole house filtration labor ran me $350, this is just an R/O filtering system. But thanks I guess the $200 quote I got is a great deal. read more

A pipe broke under the house last night (Saturday) and I had to shut the water and water heater off to the entire house until it could be fixed. I called GP piping and Caleb responded immediately to my call. He was at the house within a couple of hours on Sunday. Caleb came to do a pre-assessment for the job. He left and said he'd have some guys come today to actually assess and order the parts today. Yet when I called this AM to set the time for them to come out, Caleb basically said he didn't want to work with me because my expectations were too high because I want my unit fixed as soon as possible. WHAT? I get that you need to order parts to either fix or replace the hot water heater, but since I have been out of hot water for more than a week, I am motivated to get it fixed. He said he didn't want to get involved because I want hot water now. He made this personal! I need help, and GP Piping has so many other customers that they basically rejected me as a potential customer. BE WARNED! They may not want to work with you as they are so busy with other folks. Caleb quickly identified the leak in our garage ceiling as the wax seal on our toilet (which was on the second story above the leak). He quickly replaced the seal and noticed that the seat had not been secured properly to the floor which was cause of the seal being compromised. He also replaced the sink poppers and water supply lines in 2 bathrooms (3 sinks). He cleared out a slow draining sink, replaced the cartridge in a leaking faucet, and replaced the p-trap and piping underneath one sink that weren't done properly. He is very detailed oriented, does a very good job, and cleans up everything when he's finished. Too many people in the service industry leave you with a mess to clean up when they're gone, but not Caleb. He is very professional and very good. He did the work described above at my home. He has also done work for us at our church. He installed new sinks and faucets in our bathrooms. And he installed all of the new plumbing necessary to install a sink in a room that we are converting into a breakroom. I highly recommend him. read more
