Enjoying clam chowder and tuna sandwich

Located in Viejas Casino. Inexpensive sandwiches, salads, grill orders such as burgers and breakfast sandwiches and other choices. Good selection and quick. Dine-in or "Grab & Go."

Grabbed some breakfast sandwiches here for $8 a pop around 6:30am. They serve Starbucks cold brew here which I got a cup. Initially I was trying to go to Daily Roast coffee bar around the corner but strangely it was closed. I think the casino is trying to use this place as their early starter for serving coffee and breakfast. This place has all the snacks and sandwiches you could want.

Big a$$ portion. I ordered fries. Was not expecting this.

A SIDE OF CHILI IS ALL YOU NEED First timer. I'm not a Viejas card holder. I purchased 2 chili dogs and fries. Here's 8 reasons to eat here: *Price point is more than reasonable *Packaged food in environmental friendly containers *Food is served piping hot *The chili dog, comes with side of small chili. The side is plentiful. I didn't like the chili dog but I did enjoy the chili. *The hot dog is grilled not boiled like Costco *Wait time on a crowded Saturday was five minutes *Fresh fruit, salads, and desserts *Variety menu of hot & cold items "The best throw of the dice is to throw them away." ----English Proverb @viejascasino @grab&go_viejas #goodchili #gamblingis dangerous

I've been waiting for a place like this to open within the Viejas casino. I really like the big open space once you walk in, there's limited tables with chairs, menu displayed before you walk in and a great variety of food that's already made To Go. They have a huge island in the middle of the shop that consists of snacks and chips etc. To the right of the shop, there's a huge open fridge display filled with so many bottled/glass drinks along with alcohol (only beer bottles available) When I got there, it was a little busy but the line moves fast. They have a display with hot food items you can order to dine in/to go once you walk up to the cashier. You can see the staff making food to the right of the cashier, the food comes out fast and fresh! My brother ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl and onion rings. He said the teriyaki bowl is a bit too sweet for his liking and the onion rings were okay. I had the turkey sandwich, I wanted something fast in my stomach lol. It was pretty fresh and good. It came with lettuce, cheddar cheese, they served condiments on the island such as mustard, mayo and ketchup. I had ordered a few desserts to go. The prices of these items were pretty good and affordable. This shop is really good for when you're in a hurry and want something to eat/drink. The staff were cheerful, happy to assist and very welcoming. Very clean, spacious and bright inside. So happy they opened this place!

The lights and colors from the exit stood out from the casino, so I had to explore.

The colorful lights from the exit stood out within the casino, so I had to explore. They have menus conveniently located at the entrance of this snack land, and I've noticed that the prices were fair. To my surprise, I came across a snack island upon entering. They also have tons of beverages, made-to-order food, pre-made snacks, pastries, and even bags of Starbucks coffee and boxes of tea available for purchase. Beef chili (cup size = $4): piping hot temp, flavorful, and plenty of beef with some spicy kick, 9/10 rating. Yogurt Pretzels 9oz bag ($6): typical, slightly sweet but enjoyable. 8/10. They have a decent amount of seats and tables if you decide to dine in. I was here early afternoon, and it wasn't busy. About half of the patrons took the food and drinks to-go, while some redeemed their player points for goodies. This is a great concept as it is convenient and budget friendly. Take a break from all the gambling, as this is a sure win with the great service and plenty of grub options.

This is a great place when you just wanna grab something and go, after a few hours of being defeated on the casino floor haha.. or vice versa if you're lucky. There are a few tables to sit and dine, but not very many and they are often occupied. Some of which I've tried and liked include the Beef Teriyaki Bowl, Poke Bowl, Clam Chowder, Carne Asada Quesadilla, and Carne Asada Burrito... burrito wasn't bad, the meat was a bit chewy though and some parts of the burrito were overloaded with too much cheese, but I would get it again. Sweet Potato Fries are soggy... The Hawaiian Pizza and the BBQ Beef Sandwich is just alright.

    Beef teriyaki really good

Awesome addition to Viejas. Grab & Go is just that. When you want something fast this is a great place to grab something and go. Viejas did an excellent job on the open layout & creating the menu for everyone's cravings. I've tried the Hawaiian & Pepperoni pizza. It's perfect for 1 - 2 ppl. The dough and cheese they use is high quality. I still have to try the veggies and cheese pizza. They have a poke bowl and beef or chicken teriyaki bpwl. There are breakfast and burrito sandwiches. I enjoyed the chili fries and clam chowder. Both of these can be ordered in a bread bowl. How awesome is that? There are a lot of snacks to choose from. They have a pastry display to choose from. You can purchase starbucks coffee bags and Teavana. There are some seating. Just keep in mind it's grab and go so not really intended for long stay. The designers did a fantastic job in using this space. The staff are friendly and fast. They have salads, macaroni & potato salad along with parfaits to go too. Stop in and try a bunch of their menu items. The sweet potato fries, cheeseburger or BBQ beef sandwich is also good. So many items to try. Mel M Yelp 23:20

Now let's talk food... the brisket was out of this world! Tender, flavorful, and just the right amount of smokiness. Paired with the coleslaw (so fresh and delicious) and their BBQ sauce that was sweet but not overpowering, the whole combo was dynamite. I even had to snap a "before" pic of the plate--and let's just say the "after" pic didn't survive because it was THAT good! They were out of dessert during our visit, but I'll definitely be back to try that cinnamon and lemon pound cake that customers around us were raving about. Big shoutout to Vi and to Penelope (I believe she was the cook that day) for serving up not just a meal, but an experience. The layout was super cool and very clean. I never knew this place was in Alpine but I found my new barbecue spot. Definitely come and support as they are a hidden gem We'll 100% be back soon--thanks again for the warm hospitality and amazing food!

The chicken sandwich was burnt and so dry and all falling apart the burger was just a bun, jalapeños and 2 patties . My bf never complains about food and he was saying how bad it was . Don't wana bash their business but also at the same time would love to give feedback . Maybe people come here for the drinks and not the food ? I'm not sure. It's a bummer bc the atmosphere is great and the firepit etc. maybe they just need new cooks d

Once the music got set up on the patio, it was so loud, you couldn't talk with anyone at the table. not a nice way to spend a relaxing afternoon with friends. but ok, we moved inside. The music, by the way, was excellent. So it's not that. Inside we had a server who seemed new or not very well trained. For a place that serves breakfast and lunch, it was odd that at 10 minutes before noon, we still could not order "lunch" items. but ok - pivot to breakfast. we placed drink orders and food. What came out was disappointing. we asked if the bottomless mimosas could have a little cranberry juice added. Server said not problem. What came out were cranberry mimosas, no orange juice in sight. when food came out, it left a lot to be desired. The avocado toast order was awful. plain white, grocery bread barely toasted with an avocado smash (container spread from the store or costco?) and dried grated parmesan cheese (like from the plastic container in the grocer) not as advertised and definitely not what one expects for this dish. The side of bacon was forgotten. The eggs benedict looked ok however the hollandaise sauce was barely existent and what was there was split. Making it barely edible. The other breakfast dishes were just ok. Biscuits and gravy looked good. lots of it and chunky. scrambled eggs and hashbrowns are hard to mess up. But for one person, the hashbrowns were pretty much cooked to a crisp and a lot of grease on the plate. that person left those to the bin. And had a hair on the plate. We had to ask for the bottomless mimosa to be refilled. The server took the glasses, and when they came back, one was orange, one was cranberry and THE GLASSES WERE REUSED! Unacceptable!! if the server didn't know, the bartender should know NOT to reuse glasses. Even if it is our own glasses, you don't reuse them. If you want music, average food, and drinks - this will be ok. The band was really good. The food experience was dreadful.

When this Jack in the Box first opened, it was honestly a five star experience. Unfortunately, over time I've seen a noticeable decline, mainly in cleanliness and a bit in customer service. The last 4/5 times I've chosen to eat inside, every single table has been dirty. I've had to grab napkins and water from the bathroom just to clean my own table before sitting down. The windows are covered in greasy fingerprints, clearly from little kids, and the floors under the booths are visibly filthy. This is not a one time issue, it has been consistent over multiple visits. To be fair, I have not experienced the order issues that other reviewers mention. My food has always been correct, and the food still tastes good for fast food, especially for takeout. I will continue to come back because I do like the food and want to support this location. That said, cleanliness really matters to me, and customers should not have to clean their own tables. I truly hope management sees the feedback and makes improvements, because this place has the potential to get back to the great experience it had when it first opened.
