Just visited after their remodel, and I must say -- the space is absolutely stunning. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and effortlessly elegant, and being seated by the fireplace added a lovely touch. We all started with salads, and every single one of us enjoyed them -- crisp, fresh, and perfectly composed. The entrees, unfortunately, didn't quite live up to the same standard. My guest ordered steak, and while I'm not a meat eater myself, they noted it wasn't properly aged and were left underwhelmed. I tried the Bok Choy Curry Chilean Seabass -- beautifully presented, but the execution fell short. The fish itself was very fishy, and the curry sauce overpowered it, creating a combination that simply didn't work. My glass of wine also seemed a bit off, perhaps having been open too long, but I didn't comment. Service was leisurely, and our two-hour dinner did feel a touch prolonged. On the bright side, the bread was phenomenal, and the lobster mac & cheese was an absolute standout. I've dined here before, and the food has always been excellent, so I'm willing to chalk this experience up to an off night in the kitchen. Overall, the space, ambiance, and starters remain exceptional. While the main courses didn't quite shine this time, it's still a worthy destination for a beautifully designed dining experience and standout apps -- just manage expectations for the entrees.

First of all I love the new layout of the steakhouse. I've been prior before the renovation and I love that it's not super dark like other steakhouses and open. Taylor was our server and she was great and attentive. Appetizers to steak to the little treats they give in between were all amazing. Definitely a hidden gem in east county. Great you get a discount with a players card as well. Will come back again and again.

This spot is one of my top favorite steakhouses in SD. The steak is super tender and full of flavor. The jumbo shrimp are always plump and sweet. You really can't go wrong with any of the appetizers. I've tried them all and they're all bomb!

The service here was impeccable!! Our server was Sahar and she was on point at everything. The food was amazing even though my lamb was a bit overcooked. The whole experience was spectacular.

The Grove Steakhouse in Viejas exceeded our expectations. First of all, the place is massive and very clean. Loved that we got seated in the corner to kind of getaway from the busy casino floor. Everyone who helped us that night was great, 5 stars for all of them! They went above and beyond to help celebrate my mom's birthday dinner. We started with the free bread service- which were all really excellent options in terms of just bread! The night started with an order of crab cakes [$18] which came with two medium pieces and six Oyster Rockefellers [$23]. Both apps were good, nothing to rave about, though. The stars of the shows were our entrees which are all the meats! I ordered a 8oz petite filet [$48] and was cooked to a perfect medium. Honestly, those cuts are hard to cook, but The Grove got it correct. I opted for a side of mushrooms [$9] and that was a really great choice. Super flavorful and came with plenty to share. Tried the lobster macaroni [$14] and that too was rich and creamy! Topped off the night with a free dessert for my mom's bday which we all shared. It was a great addition to the already wonderful meal. We had a great experience at the Grove. So much so that we are already planning a trip back. Thanks again!

Dined here for brunch yesterday. It's awesome that the steakhouse serves brunch on Sat & Sun. They appeared to have relocated from one spot to another inside Viejas Casino. We were seated almost immediately upon arrival and was given a pallete cleanser after ordering -- it was a cucumber with cream cheese and a peach slice. We shared the following: King Crab Benedict (4/5): good. There was a decent amount of king crab. There could have been a little bit more seasoning, but still good. The breakfast potatoes that came with it were solid. Cinnamon Roll French Toast (3/5): I love French toast and it's always one of my top brunch entrees to order. Their French toast had pretty good flavor, but unfortunately, was too dry for me. I wished the toast was moist. Pricing is reasonable. Service was good. The interior is nice and fancy, ofc being a steakhouse and all. Would return.

The food is amazing and the staff are friendly. The ambiance is nice and clean. I only have positive feedback on this place. Servers and Manager Rafael is the best. Rafael is always attentive and make sure you're having the best experience.

On our way back from San Diego to Arizona we stopped by chance. It was a great experience . We weren't sure if we could get in with more casual attire but it was Ok . We weren't looking for a long meal so made some simple chooses but all the plates coming out looked very tasty and well presented. Starting with the garlic butter for the bread basket , very soft and spreadable with a good flavor We choose the lobster Mac and cheese and the bison ribeye . The Mac n cheese had a good portion of lobster . The flavor was tasty but I would have like the cheese portion to be a bit smoother and creamier . The oils were a bit more separating as it cooled . The Bison was very tasty, lean and cooked well . The purple sweet potato sauce was very unique.. the nice part was the service . All the staff were lovely and very attentive dive . Presentation was definitely well done from service carts to keeping drinks full and even the manager checked in with us and was willing to ask the kitchen a question about our sauces. In between meals they served a tasty one bite chicken pita bit which had a very unique flavor on the rub, sorbet to clean our palate and house made coffee bon bons ... for a casino steak house I was pleasantly surprised to find this tiny jewel in the hills on our travels

The entrance to this steakhouse is beautiful. The host greeted us so warmly and is the best host experience I've had. The host asked us if we had a players card for the casino. I had one, but hubs didn't and he said he would go get him one from inside the casino. He made that very convenient for us. He sat us down and told us the name of our server and was very kind. The waiter came over and addressed us by our names and made us feel special in the restaurant. We ordered two chambord drinks that were very good. They brought out bread with salted butter and apricot butter along with an Amuse-bouche. It was bacon wrapped bell pepper with cream cheese that was a perfect bite to start off with. I ordered the lobster bisque that was very tasty. They brought out a mango sorbet to cleanse our palate before the entrees. I ordered the chicken that was perfect and not dry. The veggies and rice with it were good as well and the flavors were all great. Hubs ordered the short rib with mashed potatoes and asparagus which were all cooked well and had great flavor. One of the bussers accidentally took my unfinished lobster bisque that I was planning on taking home, so the waiter had a new one made for me and brought it out already in a to go container. After our meal, the host came up to us and asked us specifics about our meal. They brought out a deliciously rich chocolate cake for my birthday. We felt so special and well taken care of here. It is one of my favorite restaurant experiences I've had.

Absolutely THE BEST steakhouse I've ever been to, better than Syquan! Food was delish! Service was top notch and OMG - the breads and flavored butter absolutely to die for!!! very, very special place here, Viejas you really hit the mark with this place! Such awesome attention to details, giving palate cleansers, truffles at end of meal, ect, ect, ect !!!! Cece was our waitress and she is probably the best server I've ever experienced! Will be back FOR SURE!!!! LOVE, LOVE , PS. make reservations !!!!

Came here for the first time on a Wednesday night and was treated to a dinner with some friends. We came in and they sat us down quickly. The interior was very nice but the table was very small and it felt very clustered when they brought all the dishes out (didn't order that much for 4 people). Service: The service here was alright but our waiter was very slow even thought there was only 5 other groups eating. Food took forever to come out and it also took a while to pay the bill as our waiter did not come back for a whole 10 minutes. They cleaned up the utensils and dishes before the main entrees were out and had a nice refreshing palate cleanser gelato for us which was a nice touch. Food: The porterhouse steak was the star of the show and was one of the best steaks I have had. Asked for it medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. SUPER tender and melt in your mouth with a great seasoning on the outside. The filet mignon was also good with a great seasoning on the outside as well but it was a little too salty for me. I was pretty disappointed in the sides as the lobster mac & cheese was bland and had only a few bits of lobster in it. The truffle frites were also a huge let down as they tasted a little stale and had very very little truffle taste on them. They were also bland and lacked salt, just not a good fry. Not too impressed by everything we skipped dessert. I would only come here again on a special occasion and just for the steaks. That porterhouse is single-handedly keeping the review at 3 stars. If you get anything, splurge on that steak you won't regret it.

CAP ribeye steak. Cooked medium. 10/10!!!!!

We stayed at the Viejas hotel to celebrate a professional accomplishment (I'll share that on the hotel YELP ) and booked reservations based on recommendations from employees of the hotel. We weren't sure since OF COURSE it's the most expense restaurant here. When we arrived they seated us right away. Very nice ambiance. Classy and clean, but not stuffy. Full bar, fireplaces, lots of booths and tables. (Be sure to ask for a booth if it's just two of you, when you book the resi) We were a little taken back that it took a good 6-7 mins to even be greeted by anyone - or offered water. And ANOTHER 10 mins before our server ever came by. That service was lacking for "4 diamond" dinning. We started with crab cakes.... I'll be honest. We are seafood snobs. We found these to be "good" but nothing we would rave about. I'd say 6.5 or 7 out of 10. We likely would not order them again. The complementary bread basket was a 7-8/10 - it had 3 variety's of rolls. They were warm and came with 2 different butters which was fun!! I ordered the 10 ounce filet since it was only $7 more than the 8oz. I ordered it medium. IT WAS DELISHHHHHH and cooked to perfection!!! I got all 4 sauces and BY FAR the chimichurri and the béarnaise were amazing and the beat. TBH the other 2 were gross. Hubby ordered the Cap ribeye. Medium. Also cooked PERFECT!! it was melt in your mouth kind of cut!! The steaks were the STAR of the show!! Sides- asparagus(yuck- there were HUGE spears... we sent them back) Lobster Mac and cheese- I said 9/10.... Could use a little more lobster and a bit of salt/pepper. My hubs said to him it was basic and he rates it 6/10. It's a small portion but enough to share. Wish I tried the brussel sprouts!! The steak was so good we would return just for that. The service was exceptionally slow- sides were average. We were there for over an hour and 45 minutes. Our bill for the above was ~190 (2 glasses of wine and a beer as well GET THE CAP STEAK!!!!!

So we came here to this casino for the first time we decided to have dinner at the steakhouse we both ordered the porterhouse delicious absolutely delicious we had the asparagus wasn't my favorite I've had better we also had the wedge salad which was very good and we had a shrimp cocktail which was okay but a little pricey five shrimp for $26 but hey I'm a veteran so the players card you get a 15% discount which was nice covered the tip all in all highly recommend much better than the one at Jamul Casino the Prime Cut Steakhouse this one was much better service was excellent will absolutely go back

2/08/24. Amuse-bouche: this shrimp tostada was definitely a mouth amuser.

Once the music got set up on the patio, it was so loud, you couldn't talk with anyone at the table. not a nice way to spend a relaxing afternoon with friends. but ok, we moved inside. The music, by the way, was excellent. So it's not that. Inside we had a server who seemed new or not very well trained. For a place that serves breakfast and lunch, it was odd that at 10 minutes before noon, we still could not order "lunch" items. but ok - pivot to breakfast. we placed drink orders and food. What came out was disappointing. we asked if the bottomless mimosas could have a little cranberry juice added. Server said not problem. What came out were cranberry mimosas, no orange juice in sight. when food came out, it left a lot to be desired. The avocado toast order was awful. plain white, grocery bread barely toasted with an avocado smash (container spread from the store or costco?) and dried grated parmesan cheese (like from the plastic container in the grocer) not as advertised and definitely not what one expects for this dish. The side of bacon was forgotten. The eggs benedict looked ok however the hollandaise sauce was barely existent and what was there was split. Making it barely edible. The other breakfast dishes were just ok. Biscuits and gravy looked good. lots of it and chunky. scrambled eggs and hashbrowns are hard to mess up. But for one person, the hashbrowns were pretty much cooked to a crisp and a lot of grease on the plate. that person left those to the bin. And had a hair on the plate. We had to ask for the bottomless mimosa to be refilled. The server took the glasses, and when they came back, one was orange, one was cranberry and THE GLASSES WERE REUSED! Unacceptable!! if the server didn't know, the bartender should know NOT to reuse glasses. Even if it is our own glasses, you don't reuse them. So, this was a trial to bring some out of town guests this summer for a "home town experience." We won't be coming here. If you want music, mediocre food, and drinks (that you don't have to interact with people) - this will be ok. The band was really good. The food experience was dreadful.

I really don't like leaving less than glowing reviews, especially for businesses in our town that I…read morewant to support. When this Jack in the Box first opened, it was honestly a five star experience. Unfortunately, over time I've seen a noticeable decline, mainly in cleanliness and a bit in customer service. The last 4/5 times I've chosen to eat inside, every single table has been dirty. I've had to grab napkins and water from the bathroom just to clean my own table before sitting down. The windows are covered in greasy fingerprints, clearly from little kids, and the floors under the booths are visibly filthy. This is not a one time issue, it has been consistent over multiple visits. To be fair, I have not experienced the order issues that other reviewers mention. My food has always been correct, and the food still tastes good for fast food, especially for takeout. I will continue to come back because I do like the food and want to support this location. That said, cleanliness really matters to me, and customers should not have to clean their own tables. I truly hope management sees the feedback and makes improvements, because this place has the potential to get back to the great experience it had when it first opened.

My sister ordered a regular chicken sandwich with nothing but the chicken and the bun. That made her sandwich with mayonnaise and lettuce. She was disappointed so we when back. They fixed the order and gave us one of their chocolate cakes! I recommend going here!! They have a drive through and indoor seating. It's usually clean.

Had such a great dinner tonight at Mediterraneo in Alpine!…read more We started with a few appetizers and honestly...they were the highlight. The MELENZANE RIPIENE (eggplant stuffed with ricotta, parmesan, and cherry tomatoes) was incredible: rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The calamari fritti was crispy and delicious, and the TONNO ASIATICO (seared ahi tuna with sweet chili glaze, ginger, teriyaki, and wasabi) was a huge hit at the table. We also had to try their house-made mozzarella sticks, don't skip these...the cheese pull alone is worth it For the mains, we had the CAPELLINI ALLA CHECCA and the RIGATONI ALLA NORMA, and both were fantastic. You can really taste the difference, the pasta is imported from Italy, and it shows in the texture and flavor. My husband also ordered the margherita pizza and said it's the best he's ever had, which says a lot! The space itself is big, welcoming, and super versatile. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, plus a large bar with a full menu. We tried a couple drinks from their spring menu: the pistachio espresso martini and the berry margarita both were so fun and tasty. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive, which really made the whole experience even better. Bonus: they have a great family-friendly area with arcade games and a pool table, which makes it perfect whether you're going out as a couple or with a group. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

The place is to my surprise nice tho, like the lay out is cool. Even featuring a view into the valleys of alpine. Bar is a great setup, TVs for sports happy hour available. The food great for the prices. Over all idk why there isn't more people here. The city of Apline needs to move out and have some drinks and foood over here ASAP...
