Absolutely perfect service. After my previous lawn service abruptly left me high and dry after discontinuing residential accounts, I had been looking around for new service. With a bunch of Sycamores on the property, leaf removal was my main concern now. I wanted a service who cares about their work, does the job right, and not in haste. After a very large leaf, acorn and pollen build up in the courtyard, Jason and his team not only were able to fit me in quickly, but when they say first thing in the morning - they mean it (7 am)! They knocked out the work in record time - just an hour, but the area was transformed and livable again just as the weather for grilling and fun was upon us again. They had bagged, mowed, trimmed and departed before I was out the door for work that day. Great service! Couple of things I learned that may be good to know in advance: they invoice by email so don't try to pay them while they are there, check spam filters after they complete the work, and the pay link doesn't work if you haven't updated your iPhone for several updates! read more

I had a number of things to be done to my lawn and was really happy to find a company that did everything I wanted. Based on the good reviews, I called and spoke to Jason and he told me he'd be out the following day. He didn't show so I called the next day and spoke to him and he said he'd be out that day. Again, no show so I tried one more time. He answered the phone, I told him who was calling, and I was disconnected. Giving him the benefit of the doubt because calls can legitimately get dropped, I called right back but it went to voicemail. Now he won't answer my calls at all, and they go to voicemail. I left a message asking him to let me know if he didn't want to do the job so I could look for somebody else to do it. I was also hoping he could refer me to another company to do the work. Unfortunately, he didn't even have the courtesy to respond with an explanation. The only reason I tried as many times as I did was because I have a lot going on right now and having to deal with only one company for all of my lawn and yard needs would have been very helpful. I am totally disappointed and bewildered by his lack of consideration and professionalism. read more

If you're looking for someone to handle poison oak, I cannot in good conscious recommend Jason. I don't know if it's because I'm a "renter" and not a "home owner", but for whatever reason Jason refused to maintain any contact with me. I understand that generally the contractor will want to communicate with the Landlord, but mine lives in California and had no way of following up on the service other than through phone call and email. Because of the spotty communication, the scheduling was always off which lead to months of back-and-forth. Mind you, I live in a duplex where our neighbor also confirmed that Jason never made contact with him. There were even days where he promised our landlord he'd be out and then never show! Talk about being in shock, and this is after I read so many glowing reviews on how promptly he'd call back and show up early for appointments! The point is, he made sure his customers knew what day and time he was coming and the services being provided. Jason did not do that with us. I just don't understand why he refused to ever call or make appointments with us, the tenants. Maybe Jason is awesome at other services and has better relationships with actual property owners. Maybe he normally doesn't deal with rental properties. Honestly, I don't know, but I'd rather work with someone who's not afraid to contact both the tenant and landlord. And for anyone questioning the validity of this post, check my page. You can see that my reviews are fair and consistent. Never have I made a review out of pure spite or malice. Jason was the only lawn care business to call me back in my search for a local company. I'm glad he did!! I recently moved to a an older home that had been vacant for at least a few months - the lawn situation was overwhelming! Jason came by to asses that Monday and provided a quote. Initial expectations were set for a Wednesday fulfillment (due to weather) but they actually got everything done on Tuesday. I was very happy with the work! He had it quoted within twelve hours the following day, and had the job completed 24 hours after that. 36 hours start to finish, to take down and clear out an entire (very large) tree. All at a fair price. You can't ask for better communication, or a more timely crew. Made even better he now has online invoicing and bill payment. Makes working with him from our current residence in NYC even easier. Can't say enough good things about these guys. ---------------------- Original Review: Jason and crew are great. I called on a Friday evening with a massively overgrown yard that was in sore need of clean-up. Got a house and needed some regular lawn servicing done. Naturally I reached out to Jason and his crew and was able to get my Miss Havisham yard cleaned up and looking presentable again! I've used Jason and his crew for a year and a half now and service has always been great. Every few weeks, I'll e-mail or text him to say that the lawn could use a mow. He always responds promptly. Within a few business days they come over and get the whole thing done within an hour. Prices are reasonable and they accept online payment. I'm a renter, so I'm not exactly pushing the boundaries of the services these guys offer -- just mowing and the occasional leaf removal. But they do those jobs so well that I can't even think of anything they could improve on. read more

I had to follow up with him about the quote instead of him getting in touch with me and when I did finally reach him, he wanted to know how much I was paying my last lawn company before giving me his quote... which is cheating and shady in my book. I was very happy with the service from Total Land Care. My previous service quit doing regular lawn maintenance, and when trying to find another service, I had trouble getting phone calls returned, or when someone did respond, they did not do general maintenance. Once I landed on Total Labd Care, not only did I hear back quickly, get an acceptable price, set up service for regular maintenance, but the work was done within just a couple days of my initial contact. AND Jason even tried to help me with some issues that were a little outside his area. Even if that doesn't work out, the attempt was very much appreciated and above & beyond what he was ultimately hired to do. Hard to find people willing to do that these days. Within a week, my superheroes have taken care of it. And this speaks alot of Jason - every time i compliment him or the work, he ALWAYS praises his team. Now that's hard to find these days..........they're also local, AND you pay online! How great is that! But to top it off, i asked them to come do our lawn last week because my mother had died, and company was coming up? And even though they were booked solid, they came - and Jason refused to charge me. See? HEART. Not something you find in companies anymore. And one more thing before i leave. Let me explain about our yard. It's HUGE. Double lot with many issues: a very large, healthy magnolia tree (omg, the leaves. Never plant...just live across the street & enjoy its beauty from afar), very little grass, and curves everywhere (gardens shouldn't have straight lines, imho). "Cottagey", which is another word for anything & everything in the flower beds. Nope, not a "MOW AND GO" yard. So yeah, I've suffered through many a lawn & landscape service attempting to make it one. And just when I was about to give up because of rejections (lots of companies wouldn't even take me on) or incompetence, down from the heavens flew JASON & HIS ARGONAUTS!
