My daughter is a minor (11) and Belinda went rogue and did not get my consent for any changes from what I had approved. https://www.instagram.com/p/BTPZfyClIOs/ Update; Apparently, the reason Belinda curled my daughter's hair was to cover up the fact that besides being the incorrect color she had completely botched the color. It was immediately noticeable when my daughter's hair was no longer curled. My daughter saw the the botched sections and burst out in tears. Further Update: While the Owner Belinda has now posted a professional and polite response to my review, she sent private messages that were verbally abusive and unprofessional to the point that I was forced to block and report her to Yelp. Further Update: After being blocked from harassing and abusing me on Yelp, the Owner has begun a Social Media campaign of lies against me and had her relatives begin harassing me on Instagram. Upon entering, we were greeted immediately by one of the owners and the stylist who was going to take care of my mom. My mother got a body wave, and her stylist was Ariana. My mother is elderly and has had the same haircut for decades, but it had grown out and she's no longer able to maintain it the way she used to be able to. Ariana was very patient with her and helped her determine what would work best. My mother was very pleased with the outcome. It's a bit of a change, but she's getting used to it. I simply needed a simple haircut. My stylist was Belinda. She was great! She understood what I was looking for and did not try to change my mind or convince me to do something else like I've had previous stylist do, because I have long straight hair and it's The perfect canvas to try new things with. However, that's not what I'm interested in. The prices for my mother and my perm and haircut were very reasonable! My mother and I agree that we were both very happy and will definitely be going back to see Ariana and Belinda when we need our next hair appointment. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and figured I'd see how it looked after I washed and styled. I washed one time with a sulfate free shampoo, the same one I have used every other time I've had this treatment, and my hair still looked frizzy -- like I'd had no treatment at all. I called the salon, and they were immediately confrontational and blamed me because I did not buy the BB products (I did use the BB ionic bonding spray that I had at home), which I've never used in the past, and have previously had no issues. I caved and spent $50 on the shampoo and conditioner, which did not help at all. TL;DR: spent over $450 for a service that has worked great in the past, but did not work this time. Salon blamed me, offered nothing in return, and now I have to have frizzy hair for 8 weeks before i can get it fixed. At a different salon, obviously.

My hair stylist Kimberly B. was super laid back, explained the prices before getting started and confirmed what I wanted done. I got my hair shampoo then a haircut without jeopardizing my curls because I did not want heat on it. The products smell fantastic and my hair feels light and bouncy. The salon is under renovation which is why I didn't take any photos but the music was good and the area clean. There's plenty of free parking close to the salon. I will def checkout their products next time I am on the market for hair products. I plan on returning

It's in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking outside of her shop. Her place is located in a hair gallery type set up where in the building there are individual salons in each of the rooms. Hers is easy to find as it is the first one when you walk in. Elsa was very nice when I came in and you can tell she put a lot of work in her decor. I was instructed that I needed to wear a mask ahead of time and she conducted a temperature check upon entry. The space is very clean, as she allows time between appointments to clean her shop. I went in for a regular wash and cut and she listen to what I wanted and the results were great. She also recommended how to book in the future, which was very helpful. It was very easy to book my appointment through Instagram and I received a confirmation email promptly after booking. I will definitely be coming back to Elsa's shop again soon!

She now charges about $60 for a regular maintenance (wash & retwist) and the price for a style depends on the type. She didn't ask me how long our loc's were like some people in this area do, when actually all you are retwisting is the root of the hair and palm rolling the rest. This made my man even more comfortable to go to her since his loc's are longer than mine. For the gentleman reading this review my man was also able to get lined/shape up ($10) by one of the barbers out of the three that were working at the time and I was able to get my nape area cleaned up as well. This shop is open 7 days a week, which is a plus for my man & I. Needless to say I think we have found a permanent barber & loctician that is closer to our home. Yeppie.
