$30 for a nasty Margarita, that's all this experience was. We didn't even get to choose a drink off the Frankenstein drink menu!

This review is for the Frankenstein Lab. We paid $30 each for the experience. All we received for $30 each was a forced upon us nasty margarita that we mixed charcoal into and stirred with a spoonful of dry ice. We were told upon entering to go to the back of the bar & a woman would take care of us. Taking care of us meant scanning our $30 tickets & then point to the tables in the back of the bar. At the end she told us our time was up. She did nothing else! We waited 30 minutes in the beginning with no service, we had to ask for a server. The bar had some Halloween decorations up but nothing special, cobbwebs & spooky pictures on the walls. We could have experienced that without paying $30 each. Disgusting how they are taking advantage of people who want a Halloween experience.

There's no experience happening here we paid $30 to come and experience this amazing drink demonstration and none of that happened. Upon arrival we were given an electric jolt a $13.00 drink & told how to stir it and that was the end of the experience. Then was told you cannot just walk in you have to have the reservation and the place that completes the reservation is a scam. The already have apology cards printed up for customer. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE TECHNICALLY NO STARS

Went here on a whim. We got the chicken tenders, the fried pickles, and the veggie burger. The food was average. Fried pickles were a bit oily and the burger wasn't anything to write home about. The chicken tenders were good and the fries were the best part of the meal. It was a nice change of scenery, and they have it nice inside for social distancing.

I'm a huge fan of Grace Tavern. Living on my part of South Street, this is one of the few decent sit down establishments in the neighborhood and I've spent a great deal of time here (e.g. get togethers with friends, college football games, nba playoffs, family visits). Not only is the food here great, but the bartenders are really friendly and the place is small enough to have an intimate vibe. The burgers here are some of the best I've had in the area and that also extends to their Veggie Burgers. This is a great place that you can take just about anyone, meat eater or otherwise! I'd also put in a plug for their fried pickles, which hit the spot if you're looking for a decent sized bar snack while you grab a beer or watch the game. Beyond the food, there's usually a great selection of beer on tap that ranges from stout's to IPA's to gose's. If you're not sure what exactly will tickle your fancy, ask the bartender for recommendations and they'll let you sample until you find what works for you. And while you're at it, strike up a conversation with the bartenders. I've been able to meet a couple of them now and they're really great guys to chat with. I'd have no issue coming here alone if I knew one of them were working. Final plug.. in my experience it's never been too busy here. You can usually get a table or squeeze in at the bar with a couple of friends. And the prices here are just right. I'd recommend Grace Tavern next time you're looking for a great burger, a nice beer selection, and decent conversation.

Bevadore cooler. Still works! Their bottle list is housed in there. Nice feature!

I've heard of Grace Tavern numerous times over the years in local beer magazines, so when I found myself close by I decided to stop in for lunch. These old row home block type bars always have unique character and charm. Grace Tavern's building bends to the right to follow the street behind it, has extremely high tin ceilings, a 1950's Bevadore cooler and worn but classic woodwork all around. I sat at the bar and was met by a friendly bartender. Their tap-list is on the smaller side but features mainly local craft beer. Their food menu is not extensive, but had a variety that was good enough to find something and seems to lean itself popularity wise on the burger from reviews I've read. On the bartenders recommendation I ordered a Spicy fried Chicken Sandwich at $11 which was battered and deep fried with a red cabbage and jalapeno slaw on Le Bus brioche with a side of salad. The bun was excellent, chicken had decent kick from the jalapeño and the side salad was very fresh. The sandwich on the whole was juicy, tender and a decent size. I enjoyed my visit here, felt welcomed and the food, drink, ambiance was good. 15 years at this location for these guys. They are wearing it well!

Our waitress was very friendly and ended up leaving a pitcher of water once she saw we were parched. The salad bar wasn't huge, but there were some cold dishes along with salad fixings, which is part of the vintage charm. The bread (not complementary) was also a huge round loaf great for sharing. The decor's medieval vibe is very charming and it's nice looking around the room. The kitchen is open to the dining room with big brick ovens. I had the prime rib which was big and juicy (the baked potato was fine but the Yorkshire puff was bland and barely editable soaked in juice - may just be I don't like this food). The steak came with a giant onion ring which was delightful, and it was cooked perfectly tender. This place thrives in your meat and potato staples, so not a lot of side options except what's at the salad bar. For dessert, we had to try the peach melba delight, which was a giant goblet of vanilla ice cream, peaches in juice, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. Deceptively simple but extremely tasty and great to share There's a large bar area and the bathrooms are nice. This place is great for larger groups that include older people. The food is good and the atmosphere did feel like it was from another time, but we had a good time, and it's nice to see a place like this still around.

As a vegetarian, I can't recommend their seitan cheese steak highly enough - it was savory comfort food wrapped in a perfectly balanced amount of delicate hoagie bun. The bartender informed us that we could not sit at the table unless we were ordering food. At this point we ended our pub crawl and left defeated scratching our heads. We asked for the toppings on the side because, you know, kids, but WOW. The vodka sauce was delicious, and the pickled tomato concoction that came with them? I could've bathed in it. The calamari was perfectly crisp and came with the unexpected bonus of onion rings, which were ever-so-lightly battered and perfectly crunchy. And once again, the sauces were superb. The boys shared a cheese pizza, half pepperoni, and really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the burger, and yes, I stole a bite--and yes, to no one's surprise, it was amazing. We also ordered the charred broccoli after seeing everyone rave about it online. They were NOT wrong. Creamy, smoky, charred perfection. And finally... drumroll please... the 10 oz. smoked Duroc pork chop! OH. EM. GEEE. Perfectly charred on the outside and incredibly juicy inside, sitting in the most delicious smoky morita-apricot glaze and topped with a bright cucumber-melon salad with mint and blue basil. The contrast was perfection! The rich, smoky pork, the sweet and slightly spicy glaze, and that cool, fresh salad on top. Every bite had the perfect combination of flavors and textures. Easily one of the best pork chops I've ever had. As wonderful as the food was, the service somehow made the experience even better. From the minute we arrived, we were treated like family coming home for the holidays. Warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. What an absolute joy of a restaurant. It was still good, just not as "lobster ravioli" as Im used to. The pizza is a very thin crust but they did a wonderful job of not burning the crust despite this.
