    Incredible ceviche
    Ken C.

Absolutely incredible experience at Gracie! What an incredible staff this restaurant has built. Every single team member was very accommodating and service was so quick. Everyone in a good mood and vibe was on point. We came here after an AM wedding and I was glad the team at Gracie kept the positive vibe going on a beautiful day in SB. I highly recommend the ceviche. The quality, flavor and unique twist was on point. The Tacos were cooked to perfection. It comes with 3 tacos but you can add single ones to your order in case anyone wants to share. Steak frites were cooked to perfection and wow. The sauce! So great. All the dishes, all the drinks, the whole staff and experience... well done. I'll be back when in SB without a doubt.

Fish tacos. The flour tortillas worked nicely.

We went for brunch and I had fish tacos and they were very good. $21 for 3. My two dining companions had eggs Benedict with potatoes; they both commented how much meat was on the Benedict. Why are the five stars? Anyone who reads my reviews knows, I hate being offended by prices. The pricing was in line with the experience. It was a nice restaurant experience. The outside patio is a beautiful setting on the harbor. The service wasn't overbearing. We were able to visit and have a lovely ladies birthday brunch.

It's my birthday weekend getaway,So we came to Santa Barbara for the first time and Gracie was walkable from our hotel,So we picked this place for lunch and we sure not disappointed. Food : My husband got Steak Frites and it was cooked the way he ordered and fries was crispy, hot and the sauce wasn't too over power the steak,So this dish blend really well together.I ordered Crispy Salmon and the skin was crispyyyy. My waitress recommended a homemade focaccia bread to go with it which I went for it and I thank her later because that bread was really good! Salmon was cook perfect,Sauce was great and veggies that came with it was delicious! Service : Our waitress was amazing. We sat outside and everything went great! Vibe : Open,Vibrant and lovely place. Next time we're visit Santa Barbara Gracie will be one of our choice for food for sure.

Gracie restaurant is a must for locals or visitors looking to dine at a place that offers great cocktails, delicious food and the best views. The patio area is perfectly laid out, allowing you to soak up the gorgeous Mountain peaks and harbor views. I love watching all the boats here. What stands out the most is the gorgeous chandelier. Stationed right over the bar located inside. It's where I chose to sit on my first visit. The bar stools are just as stunning and the velvety material is perfect. For drinks, I've had the POG Margarita. Passionfruit, orange and Guava. Refreshing and Perfectly made! The Oaxacan rose, which honestly was too smoky for me. It has Mezcal, which I'm not too fond of, but still wanted to try something different. I recently had the Kobocha Colada. It's creamy, dreamy and almost tastes like dessert, yet still packs a punch! Not too sweet either. The food is delicious here! I've had the croquettes, which are made of spiced sweet potatoes. A great starter to try. For mains, I've tried the crispy salmon and Bincho burger. Both prepared perfectly and taste amazing! I especially loved the SRF Wagyu burger. It's grilled over Japanese Binchotan Charcoal. The smokiness of the charcoal shines through in every bite. So good! Overall, one of my favorite spots at the harbor! Customer service is always friendly and you may even see Gracie herself. Such a sweet person!

Located at the harbor have a meal and drink with a view. The service is attentive and friendly from the moment that you come in. Beware that they are packed during lunch time, but we were still able to get a table for four immediately. I ordered the kale and chicken salad which was spectacular. The chicken was grilled to perfection and not dry. The kale salad had date and lemon vinaigrette which pulled the salad flavors together. Another item that looked spectacular was the tuna melt served open. The steak and frites, order the fries! Their matcha piña colada (no alcohol) is perfect for a hot day. We will definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu.

In the 10 plus years I have lived here, I have never being to Breakwater because the menu looked boring, resembled an IHOP. Finally, Gracie is now open in its place, worthy of this superb location, right next to the water. The restaurant is anchored by the bar and a large beautiful red glass chandelier. The covered patio overlook the harbor, but we chose to sit inside since there was a wait for the tables with a view. Food was solidly executed American food. I had the its banana, a strong coffee based cocktail which I enjoyed. The burger was made with a thick good quality patty and no distraction from additional toppings except cheese and aioli. Eggs Benedict was poached just right, sat on top of soft tomato, mortadella, house made focaccia, and topped with creamy hollandaise. Breakfast sandwich was also solid. Sausage and soft scrambled egg sandwich between focaccia that made appearance in various dishes through out the menu. Steak frites was pretty small, but I guess its expected consider the price of beef right now. However, the peppercorn sauce could be more robust. I definitely want to try more cocktails and appetizers from Gracie, maybe come during off hours and enjoy the covered patio.

Gracie in Santa Barbara is such a cute spot right on the Marina with a beautiful view of all the boats--definitely a great setting for brunch. The menu has solid options, and everything we tried was tasty. I ordered the tuna melt, which was really good, and the fries were a standout--perfectly crispy and addictive. The croquettes were also delicious and flavorful. Service was good and attentive throughout our visit. Overall, a lovely brunch spot with great views and satisfying food.

Pretty spot near the harbor with a beautiful view. Happy hour menu from 4 to 5:00 p.m. daily. Options include smashburger, fries, hummus, guacamole, and several discounted cocktails. They have a Happy Meal, which includes a martini and fries! Both indoor and outdoor seating options available, reasonable prices, and good overall service. Free and paid parking lot nearby. Overall, I definitely recommend checking out this place!

    Ceviche sooo good

Only had a couple items but I loved the ceviche. Flavor was perfectly tangy and fresh tasting and served with strange chips but tasty. Very relaxing patio. Service at first seemed slow to take order but was fine after that. There were about 7 dogs on patio. Ivwould prefer to eat without dogs

What a wonderful experience! Sitting out on the patio overlooking the boats in the harbor made for such a beautiful and relaxing setting--the view alone is worth the visit. The food portions were generous and satisfying. The rockfish ceviche was a great start to the meal--fresh, bright, and full of flavor. I also enjoyed the avocado toast on sourdough, which was both delicious and plentiful. My husband's steak and frites did not disappoint either. And the drinks? Spot on. The Bloody Mary is a must-have! After your meal, it's perfect to take a stroll around the harbor, visit the Maritime Museum, and take in the ocean views. Great service all around, too. Highly recommend making a stop here!

The cocktails are highly creative, diverse in flavor and design, and really could stand up to any you would find at a top cocktail bar in a major city. And the bartender deserves applause for pulling off 3+ quite complex cocktails every 5 minutes off of memory and without any support.

In a stretch of Lower State packed with breweries, wine bars, and roaming weekend energy-drink humans in vintage bowling shirts, it threads the needle nicely between cocktail bar and tropical escape pod. The menu leans tiki-adjacent rather than deep-cut exotica, but the drinks are smartly built and avoid the "every problem can be solved with more rum" philosophy. There's a solid spread of spirits across the board, which makes the place feel more welcoming to a broader nightlife crowd instead of strictly rum disciples clutching vintage Trader Vic's mugs. The Oaxacan Dead was the standout for me. Smoky, balanced, endlessly sippable. One of those drinks where every sip quietly talks you into ordering another without turning into a sugar avalanche. The Jungle Bird was also great, though presented more in the direction of a Negroni than the punchier tropical versions you usually see. Bitter, restrained, and easy to settle into. Crowd-wise, things tilted a little frat-floaty as the night rolled on, but the staff handled everything smoothly and kept the vibe from turning into full pirate mutiny. Service stayed friendly and composed even when the volume of the room started climbing like a malfunctioning theremin. Big bonus points for the location and outdoor seating. Being right in the middle of Lower State makes it an easy launch point or final stop depending on your evening trajectory. Grab a drink, people-watch, drift between breweries and wine spots, repeat as necessary.

I originally found out about this hidden treasure on Instagram (@glasshousecocktails). After Covid-19 hit, businesses had to be inventive and crafty on how to continue to provide their skills outside of interior spaces for small groups. Backyard Bistros is a mobile Mercedez-Benz van that has table seating for up to four people with cocktails/beer/wine, paired with a gorgeous charcuterie board. I chose to reserve the van for my partner's birthday with another fellow couple. We decided to have our private experience on Stearns Wharf, however, you can choose the destination of your choice. While the backdoors of the van are open, you take advantage of a Bluetooth-capable Bose Speaker and additional booze for purchase, juxtaposed with a spectacular ocean+mountain view. The van is decked out with plants, pillows, a table, ceiling lights, and fun decor similar to a mobile dining Air BnB. The charcuterie board featured three kinds of cheese, strawberries, blueberries, pistachios, candied ginger, dried apricots, and gorgeous flowers with herbs. The two pre-mixed 16-ounce cocktails we decided upon in advance were Heat of Passion (habanero-infused tequila, passionfruit, lime and simple syrup--quite a tasty spicy kick) and Prickly Pear Cocktail (mezcal [we subbed mezcal for vodka], prickly pear, lime and simple syrup--perfect for a hot summer day). This was the ideal, relaxed time on a summer evening as the sun sets behind the Santa Ynez mountains. I brought along a set of cards to play, in between saying "hello" to curious tourists walking by before dinner downtown. Thank you Cecily and Allie for helping me plan this evening delight!

It had these little cubes of tuna on top that were almost like a mini poke bowl. SO good! The Crouching Tiger was another favorite. The rainbow and spicy tuna rolls were good too, just more classic. The crispy tuna nigiri was my favorite appetizer. Super fresh with perfectly crispy rice. We also loved the firecracker rock shrimp, which was light and crispy without being oily. We got the sauce on the side so the spice was totally manageable. But the GARLIC NOODLES!! Easily some of the best I've ever had. Buttery, garlicky, creamy and everyone at the table agreed they were amazing. The shrimp fried rice was great too, and they were able to make it non-spicy for us. We obviously did not have room for dessert, so we ordered it anyway The French vanilla crème brûlée was delicious, the green tea mochi was good once I got past the texture since it was my first mochi experience lol, and my sister said the tiramisu was the best she's ever had! Service slowed down a little after our entrées came out, but they were also extremely busy. Great food, gorgeous water views and such a fun dinner. I would absolutely come back. Thankfully, we opted to sit at the bar, and our bartender was the absolute highlight of the visit--attentive, friendly, and highly professional. They completely saved the service experience. As for the food? "Mid" is the most accurate way to describe it. We ordered the warm sake, the Tuna Crispy Rice, and the Sunrise Roll. I understand this is a massive waterfront spot trying to cast a wide net and cater to a huge variety of tourist palates, but the execution suffers for it. Nothing was terrible, but absolutely nothing stood out. It is painfully average sushi at premium prices. The Verdict: 2/5 stars. Great bartender, but the host's attitude and mid-tier food mean I won't be coming back. There are just way too many better places to spend your money in Santa Barbara.

Pearl social is such a whimsical fun spot to grab a drink and a snack in the funk zone. We stumbled in for a late afternoon drink and it wasn't very busy inside - giving off "best kept secret vibe". Also all of the little things were done well, crisp menus, clean bathrooms, and music done at just the right sound level. Their menu in the bar area for food is small but mighty - oysters, cheese plates, you name it. I'm definitely going to keep coming here for the cocktails. I've had one of the best sips in 2025 here - which would be The Mixtape cocktail. My friend told me I had to get it and I'm so glad I listen sometimes lol. This cocktail completely blew me away. When we arrived on a Tuesday evening, there were about seven patrons throughout the bar and the outdoor seating area with the live music drew us in. We were told to order at the bar, so while the rest of our party was seated, I stood there for five minutes before someone took my order. Totally fine, but no sorry for the wait or even smile or any warmth from the male bartender, who disappeared for a five minute break shortly after taking my order. The tables at the outdoor seating area were very sticky and since there were no employees in sight I (and the other patrons who arrived then) cleaned the tables ourselves. After waiting 10 minutes I went up to the bar and assumed since our drinks hadn't been delivered, I was supposed to pick them up, I was told don't worry, we'll bring them to you, and after another five minutes, our drinks arrived. The cocktails were decent, nothing revolutionary but I am spoiled in this department, well made but nothing to get excited about . After 30 minutes of enjoying the genuinely nice outdoor area we ordered another round, three shots took another 10+ minutes. When we realized we had to leave to make our reservation, we asked for a box for our untouched food, and we were told we don't have boxes. They ended up finding one for For us, but it appeared to be a pastry box from somewhere else. The female bartender who took over after the male clocked out, was much more personable, but not much more efficient. To their credit, this bar has an excellent selection of tequilas and Mezcal's, so if you're not in a rush and you enjoy those spirits it's definitely worth stopping by. The music was really great and was definitely the highlight of that bar.

Highly recommend for the ambiance and food quality. The 800m walk to the end of pier is fun with lots of historical tidbits. Happy eating!

Our 4th time here, and Santa Barbara Shellfish Company continues to be a must visit every time…read morewe're in Santa Barbara. Between the great service, incredible ocean views, watching the people dive into the ocean and the consistently delicious food, it's an experience you don't want to miss. This visit, I tried the Laguna oysters. Our server mentioned they're on the saltier side, and they definitely were. My boyfriend loved them, but I personally prefer the smaller, sweeter oysters. It really comes down to personal preference. We also ordered our usual clam chowder, which is hands down one of the best I've had. It's packed with clams, rich, creamy, and full of flavor. We couldn't leave without getting the scallops and uni as well. Always fresh, simple, and always excellent. The combination of fresh seafood, unbeatable waterfront views, and consistently great food is why we keep coming back. Already looking forward to visit number five
