This place is chill, bright, clean, and has an awesome beer selection. International taps with some great regional taps as well! We got a pretzel with beer cheese (the cheese tasted a little like soap, but the pretzel was good.) The service was friendly, and for a Sunday Funday, this is a perfect spot.

Great little brewery in downtown lees summit. Tried a flight and my friend got a flight also. So we sampled 8 beers total. All brewed bbt grain and taps. Have to say they were alll tasty. The names oof the beeera were very entertaining. My overall favorite was the neon kittens IPA. Had a great bitter hoppy nose on it. Didn't order a pizza this round but did see them come out and will be ordering one in the future. Will return hope you enjoy our it also.

Came here a couple weeks ago on a Friday night. It was not overly populated. We grabbed a table by ourselves. When I went over to the bar, I spoke to a person named Brian. Found out he was the owner. He told me that they offer many latest craft beers on tap and that they sell home brewing supplies as well. I tried the sump and hopslam since I knew they are limited releases. Very tasty. Friend did not drink beer so we asked Brian if he could surprise us with a mixed drink. He took the time to find out what she likes and her flavor profiles. Hes not a bartender, but he made an apple martini that was solid. We ordered another one and it was a little sweeter, but still decent. Got pretzels too and they were good. Melt in your mouth soft and the beer cheese was tasty. Brian told us they make a different one each time w different beer. I asked him about home brewing, and he actually took us to the back for basically a VIP tour. It was awesome. Grains and tap is extremely knowledgeable and they have a passion for beer and homebrew. He spent a lot of time answering all my questions which I really appreciated. Overall, beer was great and they had the latest on tap with different sizes which was nice. I bought 2 small beers, 2 martinis, and a pretzel. With tip, it was slightly under $30. Not too shabby with the quality and high service I received!

Pretty awesome craft beer bar! The overall feel and décor of this place is perfect. Not dark and dreary or the typical over done industrial vibe. Its more of a modern and clean bar with subway tiles and large TVs showing the current beers on tap. The beertenders were super knowledgeable about what they were serving which is a huge plus! Also they have a happy hour with $2 off full pours, extremely good deal. For the homebrewers they have a small supply shop that seemed well stocked with grains, hops and yeast. Only problem is it is not in my neck of the woods but has me considering that I should move to Lee's Summit. :)

We had to wait 40 minutes between receiving our appetizers and our entrees with nary a waiter in sight to fill our cups. Tack on another 30 minutes before desserts and then yet another 30 to receive our check. Of course, we get hit with an auto-gratuity of 18% for our large party which I don't mind paying because it is standard. However, entirely unprompted, our server reminds us to leave them a tip as they don't receive any of the 18% auto-grat. You're telling me that, at a place that nickel-and-dimed us to pay for 50 cent SAUCES, that you want me to tack on an extra 100 buckaroos of gratuity on-top of the automatic GRATUITY? Are you insane? In the moment, I was clearly taken aback. I did not know what to say, so I simply took a good look at our server, before writing a big bold zero on the tip line and handed it back to him. Gave him a smile as I saw his face drop. There is no way in hell I could be compelled to pile on a tip on-top of the 18%. The server was either lying or the business is run by a bunch of pitiless plunderers. Either way, I wish I asked to see a manager about getting the auto-gratuity removed as well for lack of service.

Quiet open arrival, but as it quickly gained patrons, it was difficult with hearing aids to carry on a conversation. Old building, high ceilings - - LOTS of conversations. It's busy with 30 to 50 year olds. It was an absolute JOY to witness their gatherings, hugs and smiles. Eric - - our server, was very kind, patient and helped explain several of the questions we had regarding the menu. We APPRECIATED his attention to our large water carafe, filling it frequently. THANKS ERIC (with a C!!) Our food was nicely plated, temperature perfect and portions were VERY generous. The Classic Breakfast was my choice. Eggs cooked as directed, breakfast potatoes, one smallish, breakfast sausage in natural casing. A steak knife would have been helpful. I don't know the brand of bacon they serve, but it was FABULOUS! Thick sliced, prepared beautifully and mmmm, mmmm GOOD! The plate includes a Cheddar Biscuit. It is BIG and delicious LOOKING! I had to bring it, half of my potatoes and the sausage "to go". My husband ordered the Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit. He was not a fan of the less than tasty sausage. #DIL ordered a Chicken Biscuit - - she shared a bite of the chicken. Let's just say, I KNOW what I will be ordering NEXT time we go. Our grandson ordered his favorite Biscuits & Gravy. HUGE portions, suitable for a growing young man. We will be back! P.S. The Gilded Pear cocktail was delicious. The Key Lime Pie was exquisite. Lovely plating and scrumptious. I shared it with my husband PLUS we brought half of it home.

We sat at the bar, and the bartender was amazing, full of helpful info about the menu. He told us how the seafood comes in fresh. He recommended oysters to us, and since it was our first time, he threw in a couple of his favorites at no charge. It was also happy hour, and we took advantage of the specials, ordering the cheddar biscuits drizzled with honey and the colossal cocktail shrimp. They really were huge and delicious. We also enjoyed half-price oysters. My husband loved the crushed cocktails We split the mahi-mahi, and we loved how he told us about the fresh fish that had never been frozen and whether it was wild or farm-raised. The mahi was incredible. You could tell it was fresh. We enjoyed the potatoes and the BéreBlanc sauce. This is going to be a place that we will end up becoming regulars at. So happy to have tried it!

I know I'm a bit behind on my reviews again, but posting now other than later is still fine. lol.. I'm doing my best to keep up with what life is throwing at me. That being awkwardly included and all, sis and I dined on some of the best food I've had in a while. We shared smoked oysters topped with bread crumps and parmesan, a super spicy and flavorful salsa-type appetizer with habanero that came with surprisingly flavorful chips lol, we shared some crab cakes, a beautiful aquatic-toned alcoholic drink, and shared one of the best trout dishes I have ever had in my entire human life! 0__0 The rainbow trout was our favorite part of that entire experience, which was tough to decide on honestly.. My 2nd best thing were those oysters! Our waiter was so kind and entertaining, and I really hope we get him the next time I visit! If I remember correctly, his name was Tristin. Thankfully due to how early we were there that day, the restaurant wasn't super packed, so we had plenty of breathing air for most of our visit. During the last 15 minutes it began filling up! This review is a mess you guys, but it's still an absolute satisfied one!

Think of "Neighborhood Bar" - that dying breed of locally owned (usually family owned)…read morerestaurants/bars where being a "regular" is an earned status. Think Cheers without the neckties, and within driving distance before your air conditioning can cool off your car. That's WestSide. Located in a Lee's Summit strip mall, anchored by Big Lots and Starbucks, on MO 291, it's about as neighborhood as you can get. Why don't be surprised if the staff remembers your drink and maybe your food order by your third visit (your name might take a bit longer). Anyway, I have always gotten excellent and friendly service along with very good food. There are daily meal and drink specials. Any meal I have ever had that wasn't up to snuff was immediately taken back and replaced with whatever I actually ordered. Servers? Think "the girl next door, but with a smile and a good attitude." Parking is abundant with adequate handicap spaces near the door. It's well lit and has that safe suburban feel. Their prices are reasonable (even in our current economy), and the menu should cover most reasonable tastes, without being overwhelming. I now consider myself a regular (I did verify that status with both the bartenders and a server the other night). It's a friendly, comfortable place that's easy to relax in.
