They removed old laundry line hooks and other unnecessary metal fasteners folks had added over the years. I had previously met with 3 other contractors; however, none of them seemed to have known what they were talking about and I didn't feel as if I could trust them with the job. Not only was Mr. Gralak very professional but he also had a lot of knowledge about what he was doing which was incredibly helpful! My wife found a coupon on his website and he applied it to the end of the reasonable price, which I was very happy about! He quickly emailed me my estimate with the specific work that he would be doing. Overall, I was very pleased with the job and would recommend him to others. Clearly not interested in getting new business. Don't honor their scheduled appointments - makes you wonder if and how the work will get done. Based on all the positive reviews, we contacted Gralak a few weeks ago to come give us an estimate for sealing our brick and split faced block home. We left a message and heard back a few days later. Their soonest appointment was 2 weeks later. It was a late afternoon appointment so we made it clear they would have to stick to that time frame as we had baseball tickets for that evening. The day before they were scheduled to come, we got a call asking if they could come an hour later. I said no. They asked if we were available the evening before. We said yes. The gentleman then said he was booked and could only come if there was a cancellation. I could hear the phone ringing in the background and he quickly said to call them back next week if we were interested in scheduling another appointment and then hung up. So much for good customer service. I'm shocked at some of the reviews that say "prompt", "great service". I can only guess these reviews were submitted by ringers. read more

I'd caution anyone looking at getting work done by Gralak. While they do not charge to come out to provide an estimate, don't expect an explanation for the work that they suggest that will resolve your issues. If you're inquisitive as I am to better understand issues with your property that you own, you may want to understand the root cause of your issues and a full scope of a project. When I asked how their solution will prevent water from continuing to enter in through my walls, it was met with a condescending tone and an unprofessional-ism that I've never seen before. After violently scribbling on a notepad while rambling in circles - he directed his frustration at me stating that this is not my area to have knowledge in- then proceeded to provide several metaphors that if you go to a Doctor you do not ask questions expecting to become a Doctor after one visit. This is all within a few minutes of allowing this man into my home. It was clear to me Radek was not interested in our business and I escorted him out of our building with haste. It's possible he may have had a bad day but in any sense, you do not treat people the way he treated me in my home especially if you're running a business and value your customers. Stare clear of this business- there are plenty of other "Certified Masonry contractors" in the city and in the Chicagoland area. read more

Gralak is GREAT. We were having major tuckpointing issues on one side of our bungalow. We got some much lower quotes from other people, but we knew it needed more work than just patching -- it needed rebuilding. Gralak's team did a beautiful job. Yes, it was expensive, but we feel confident the work will last for a really long time. If/when we need this kind of work again, we'll call them. One more thing -- we had a terrible time getting most tuckpointing places to even call us back. Gralak replied immediately and was very responsive the whole time, by email, phone, and text.
