Food is so well prepared and the specials really are unique and delicious. Plenty of choices for all hunger levels. The service is lovely, attentive staff and efficient service.

    Cute decor! Very homey :)

Gramma's sits right off Highway 55 as you drive through Cascade. This homey restaurant whips up a variety of breakfast and lunch items that take you back to your own grandmother's kitchen. Better said, that is the goal. My take on Gramma's is, at most, it's good. I can't say it's my favorite breakfast spot but it's not the worst. And it's also a good alternative to other eateries in McCall if you are willing to drive down. It also tends to be less busy, however you can expect to be asked to wait if you visit on a Saturday/Sunday mornin'. My husband and I dipped out of McCall to avoid the crazy Sunday brunch rush and stopped by for a quick bite here. I'd been mad craving some good ol' fashioned sausage B&G ($4.49 for a small) so that's what I ordered right as I sat down. My husband chose to delve into the Blueberry Pancakes short stack and added 2 eggs, with orange juice to drink ($3.49). The biscuits and gravy were goooooood. Served fresh, made that morning, HOT, with large chunks of spicy breakfast sausage in lots of creamy gravy piled on a split homemade biscuit. Yes, they biscuits really were homemade. It was excellent. I wasn't the biggest fan of my husband's blueberry pancakes. They end up charging an extra $0.75 for EACH pancake that has blueberries, the menu isn't clear about it. Also, there weren't much at all. It definitely was just ready-to-make pancake mix, not even the sweet cream kind that some establishments wisely use. I did appreciate the choice of maple and berry syrups. Overall it's worth stopping by especially if you are hungry and the lines in McCall are ridiculously long. Attentive and quick service as well, always a plus. I would go back. :)

Excellent veggie omelette. Only one waitress and she was slammed, so service was slow-ish. First and only restaurant in Oregon and Idaho to have decaf coffee. Yay!

Casual family dining. We only stopped for ice cream. Excellent! I've never had Huckleberry ice cream.

Food was spot on. I…read morewas visiting Cascade for the first time and stopped by Lakefront Bar for an early dinner after a long day. I ordered the salmon dinner, which came with soup and two sides. The cheddar broccoli soup was surprisingly good, and the salmon was cooked well and had a nice amount of seasoning. There was a small mix-up with one of my sides. I had originally wanted vegetables, but potato wedges came out instead. The staff handled it quickly and brought me a side of vegetables without any hassle. That level of service definitely earned them an extra star. The portions were generous for the price, and the lake views are nice -- though next time I'll probably sit outside and enjoy them even more. Overall, good food, good service, and a solid spot to eat in Cascade. I'd happily come back.

The place was very busy, and there was a wait. However, their system for handling new arrivals was disorganized. An older woman stood at a counter, and everyone lined up behind her. But, she never said anything, chatting with an employee, and no employees took charge. I walked to a register and was given a buzzer. Other people came after us, and also lined up behind this woman. Confusing and annoying. We waited about 15-20 minutes, and were seated. This was the only part of our experience that was good; a view of the lake. We waited close to 10 minutes, and our server came over, a young woman named Kiley. All of the servers were hustling, and I suspect they had too many tables. So, while she was doing her best, we received only average service. My wife being the generous, compassionate person that she is, we still tipped her 20%. The food was the worst part. We both had the surf and turf, an 8 oz sirloin steak and four jumbo shrimp. It comes with soup or salad (we chose salad) and two sides (we had a baked potato and fruit. Our salad and entree came out at the same time, which is a first world problem. Still, salads usually come out first and I prefer it that way. The baked potato was good, as was the salad. On the other hand, I was looking forward to grilled shrimp and these were breaded. Bummer. The fruit was like a canned fruit cocktail. Really? And the absolute worst: the steak. We asked for medium. It was dry, tough, and chewy. Essentially inedible, though I tried, but ultimately left a good portion uneaten. My wife did the same. This was the fourth place we ate at since arriving yesterday morning, and the only true disappointment. I'm not counting the hotel breakfast because you know what those complimentary breakfasts are like. No high expectations there. It is very possible that on a different day we might get good food and service. But, we'll never know.
