I have been to grams three times and every time I have left satisfied and full. The food is always amazing, breakfast tacos were flavorful and though there were only three it was very filling. I would highly recommend the "which came first Waffel" with an egg avocado cheese their house Baja sauce and a massive piece of delicious fried chicken. The service is always immaculate, every server I've had has been nice and accommodating. The ambiance in grams is just unlike any other, there is an industrial and yet homey feel when you're in there. Personally I would give 10 stars if I could but five is the limit. Grams is the local place that you have been looking for! Mostly a breakfast/brunch/lunch establishment, they have now added $2 taco Tuesday and between the bun Thursday which both feature regular taco/burger fare with an interesting, delicious addition most nights. Their breakfasts are wonderful, generous portions of fresh, delicious food cooked to order. For breakfast/brunch/lunch, smash bowls are not to be missed featuring traditional fare like huevos rancheros and the avocado smash bowl which has to contain at least one entire avocado along with eggs, potatoes, greens and homemade sauces. Their tacos are phenomenal with 4 "basic" styles and several proteins to choose from, including vegetarian options like tofu and sweet potato. There are specials so grab those if you see them like the crispy pork belly, brisket or braised beef tongue (it was delicious, I had to try it). These are featured on $2 taco Tuesday with amazing "nachos" and sometimes specials like buffalo wings. The between the bun Thursday has $3 burgers and chicken sandwiches and feature other tasty things like chili burgers, brisket, BBQ and Asian taco inspired Asian burger. They have reg and sweet potato fries, very good and huge portions, and there were chili cheese fries as a special. The kids portions are huge, tasty and only $5. The staff is incredible, friendly and thoughtful and it's really a family establishment through and through. I've been to Grams a few times now for the Taco Tuesday, and really enjoyed it. The people are very nice, they work super hard on these Tuesday evenings, which have been pretty popular when I've happened to stop in. I've heard great things about breakfast/brunch and also burgers on Thursdays - likely to stop in for that soon. Just a quick thing about their tacos: maintain a limber definition. They all come in a small tortilla that's bent in half, but the fillings run the ethnic cuisine gamut. The Asian and Korean ones are really quite delicious. Welcome to flavor town a.k.a. Grams! I absolutely loved every part of the experience; I can't remember the last time I felt so satisfied. We were welcomed by the sweetest staff. The place was very cozy and not too busy on a Friday afternoon, and we were seated immediately. We came for their famous avocado smash and it did not disappoint! Everything came out so fresh and the chicken in it was almost like "rope vieja" style like they make it in my hometown of Miami. So, so good! But our favorite was the jumbo lump crab cakes- BEST WE'VE EVER HAD! So much so, we went ahead and ordered a second plate right after. The chef was "beaming with pride" the waitress told us when we told her we absolutely loved it and wanted another. The chef even came out to talk to us; such a sweet, humble person and the quality of his food was unmistakable. There wasn't much going on in PA for us Floridians but I would make a trip just to go back to Gram's. This place was a foodie's dream and I hope to be back someday. I can't say how much I love Grams! The food is truly delicious. Great drinks, delicious eggs and the avocado smasher bowl remains my favorite favorite favorite! My son and I are both gluten-free (not celiac tho) and they can accommodate us in everything. We've eaten here 5-6 times and every time we all leave full and happy. The breakfast I ordered was good...and tasty...it was a sausage and gravy over eggs meal....tasty! Only negative..whicj cost them a star is they screwed up our egg order. In town for a family affair. This restaurant recommended by local members. After placing order I went to use the restroom which was occupied. Waiting outside the restroom I had a clear view into the kitchen/prep area. I observed two staff preparing food with bare hands. They were making multiple salads and sandwiches. Both touching the multiple orders, reaching into containers with bare hands removing food from containers which went into what looked like salad bowls and on a sandwich. Also passed bacon between them that was placed onto a sandwich. I reported my observation to the front desk, cancelled my order and asked for a refund which I received. The "manager " came out from the kitchen area, he was one of those that I observed preparing food with bare hands. He asked what was the problem. I explained. He said something to the effect that he preferred his staff to wash their hands and not wear gloves. I expressed that that isn't health code. He told me that I had my refund and to shut up and get out. I expect better hygiene and better customer care. Eat at your own risk. read more
