    Carnitas Street Tacos

Big fan of this place! The first time I went I had a salad that was not good but since coming back a few times later it's been a good experience ever since. The tacos are my favorite! I also love the chips and salsa and drinks! They have delicious, strong margs perfect for a girls night or happy hour! Service is quick and friendly. We will definitely keep coming back here.

We liked it here. Margarita was yummy- many different kinds Nacho app was a HUGE item, husband only ate that and it fed him for two meals I got the vegetarian burrito, which isn't on the in person menu but was online and they said they can make it. Burrito immediately fell apart though, so I knifed and forked it. Taste was wonderful. I wish it was held together better though. Waiter was super nice! I would return

Do NOT eat here! A disgusting excuse of Mexican food. Beyond bland. Our flour tortillas were hard as a rock, tasted like rotten orange juice in my jumbo margarita. The fresh guac is disgusting. We ordered shrimp fajitas and the shrimp taste like dish water, absolutely no taste. The rice was beyond bland.

    Shiner block at the bar

Stopped for a late lunch on the busiest shopping weekend of the Christmas season. I was promptly seated at the bar. Beer selection was ok, including the usual Mexican suspects and some craft beer like Sierra Nevada and Shiner. Beer is served in multiple sizes but I stuck to a 16 oz size of the Shiner Bock. I was too late for the abundant Lunch Specials, so I ordered the street tacos with chorizo which came with a choice of rice or charro beans. I chose the former. The tacos arrived promptly. They were made with corn tortillas but were not double-wrapped, and while the tortillas were warm, they would have benefited from a quick char on the griddle. The chorizo was well browned with lots of crispy bits, and was not overly greasy. However overall it was a bit dry. The meat was topped with fresh cilantro and chopped fresh onion. They lost points with me for using red or Bermuda onion rather than white onion. The taco was screaming for a sauce to add moisture... I did try one using the salsa that cane with the obligatory chips and salsa provided when I sat down. It helped a bit. Overall good not great execution. I would gladly return to try other items on the menu.

So there is a big difference between this location in Warrington and the one in Montgomeryville. We go to the one in Montgomeryville at least 4-5 times a month and they always get 5 stars. The service in Warrington is not even close, also the food presentation is not even close. The food was just okay but the one in Montgomeryville is always excellent. We will be sticking to that location.

The interior of the restaurant is well designed where it gives privacy for dining but also the bar in the middle makes it more lively. The drinks are great! They have jumbo margs for a reasonable price and the flavors are well balanced. They give complimentary chips and salsa plus a white sauce. For an app, we ordered nachos with beef and cheese. The presentation wasn't anything fancy but they were good. I ordered the taco salad with shrimp. The shrimp was PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned. The taco shell itself wasn't that great because it tasted like a plain tortilla that was baked in the oven to get it crispy. However I enjoyed my entree overall but would opt to just get a salad without the shell. Service was attentive. Place had good vibes. Will definitely be coming back here!

Special day dinner and it was fantastic. Busy Saturday night table 4 were seated without much wait and continued with great service throughout the evening. At least 2 different staff asked us if we're doing OK during our meal. Restaurant was loud but food that we ordered was above average.

Food and service were good. Margaritas were great but the music is annoying and way too loud. Impossible to talk or hear your server.

The ground lamb didn't overpower the already expertly executed hummus and added fantastic depth and richness. We also sprung for the grilled calamari tubes and the chef did a great job of not overcooking while achieving an excellent char. We shared the baked cod and the spice was delicate and perfect. Using cured lemon was a very clever idea as the sauce was not too strong but still had depth; the saffron and turmeric were well balanced. The fish itself was NOT overcooked and flaked perfectly. The vegetables were also executed well and cooked so they could be eaten with the same bite. The star of the show was still the cook on the fish with the wonderful sauce. The sever gave us some Moroccan mint tea which was also wonderful. We will be making the drive from the Maine Line to just to dine here again.

The service was incredibly friendly and gracious and the ambiance charming. We started with hot appetizers of roasted artichokes, pan fried Halloumi cheese, Spanakopita and an evening special hummus with spiced, minced lamb served with warm pita. All so delicious we were tempted to forego our main courses of moussaka, lamb kebab and delicious lemon/caper cod served over a bed of roasted root vegetable. Desserts, celebrated with a happy birthday candle on a scrumptious chocolate/hazelnut cake , walnut baklava and Turkish coffee made the evening complete. This BYOB gem is a culinary find and we will be going back soon.

Another double date with our foodie friend's pick…read more And wow what a pick! A beautifully decorated (both outside and inside) quaint restaurant, with a visible pizza oven. We shared a literally beautiful antipasto for an appetizer. It boasted fresh mozzarella balls, eggplant, artichokes, sweet red peppers, prosciutto, and olives. We had a good and soft loaf of bread with a yummy olive oil and balsamic dip too. Our meals were ALL tremendous! We had pasta dishes - gnocchi marsala and fettuccine with clams - EXCELLENT! I had plenty of sauce left to dip the soft bread into :) The other couple had octopus (appetizer) and seafood atop squid ink pappardelle pasta. They loved their dishes as well. Of course we didn't have room for dessert, but our chocolate wine and other wines were definitely sufficient. BYOB's are great and money saving. This place is a bit of a haul but I hope to get back in the future !

We had heard about La Voglia and decided to try it out! We went on a Friday evening and it wasn't…read moretoo crowded. The restaurant has a warm feel to it and is decorated nicely. They serve a delicious homemade bread that's warm when it's brought the table. In addition, it's accompanied by a dish of olive oil, with balsamic vinegar and what I believed to be a spicy dusting of pepper. It was a little too spicy for me - however, I did like the addition of the balsamic as a change from just olive oil. I would skip the pepper though, unless you like spice. We ordered the Polpette as an appetizer; it's a 'tradition' of mine. If meatballs are on the menu, I will always order them. These lamb, veal and beef meatballs were very good, and the marinara sauce they came in was excellent! The sauce is actually a 'roasted pomodoro' gravy - which is an 'intensified' version of a classic Italian sauce. It's made by roasting the tomatoes at a very high heat and almost caramelizing them. A little feta was added to the sauce, which really highlighted those meatballs!! We split the order - as 5 meatballs is quite a large appetizer! We decided to share two entrees - the Beef Short Ribs and the Lobster Ravioli. I always ask if the short ribs are lean - our server responded they were very lean...and they were. Soft, tender and very flavorful large chunks of beef, with a deliciously rich gravy with mushrooms on a bed a creamy garlic mashed potatoes! It was a superb dish! The website said the Short Ribs were the restaurant's most popular meal. Next, the Lobster Ravioli. The dish was a very 'delicate' one, with a very subtle brandy cream sauce. It had chopped jumbo shrimp and peeled cherry tomatoes with the raviolis. While the sauce tasted fine, it needed 'something' - we added pepper which helped. The raviolis were good - we couldn't taste lobster in the cheese of the raviolis - we assumed it was there. The chopped shrimps though provided a nice additional seafood flavor. I like my raviolis tender - the kind that almost melt in your mouth. The pasta here was firmer - a little more 'al dente', but it was fine. We ended our meal with the Chocolate Mousse. Served in a martini glass, the mousse had a velvety texture with a deep dark chocolate flavor. It was very rich yet light and fluffy; a good choice for dessert!

The menu has many interesting items and the shared appetizers were a good start. The Arancini was very good as was the Special Grilled Octopus in a Hummus Salad. There were 4 of us and we all felt that the entrees were good but didn't rise to what our expectations were, based on other reviews. The Lobster Gnocchi was good but seemed to be missing the lobster. The best part of the Scallop Risotto was the perfectly seared Scallops but the risotto itself was just ok. The Fiochi di Pere was good but overall didn't have all that much flavor. The Chicken Parmigiana was a very generous portion of chicken and pasta but the Italian seasoning was almost overpowering. I don't like writing reviews like this but like I said, we're in the minority review-wise on this one. Give it a try. Our experience just wasn't as good as what we expected.

Excellent food and service at this local BYOB spot in Hatboro…read more It's a cozy room with about a dozen tables, kitchen in the back. Walked in at 8PM on a Friday, seated right away. Shout out to our server Faye. She greeted us with a smile, explained the specials and made some recommendations which were spot-on. Checked back with us just the right number of times. Time from order to service about 10 minutes. Food was piping hot at service. Tried 2 of the daily specials. The first, a butternut squash and pear salad. Half inch chunks of soft and flavorful squash tossed with greens, oil, vinegar and garlic plus walnuts. Dressed with thin slices of juicy ripe pear. Delicious combo of flavors. Yum! Another special is grouper. A nice sized filet of pan-fried-to-perfection grouper is glazed with a lemon/butter sauce. It's topped with 3 broiled shrimp and served over risotto. The rissoto is treated to a touch of that lemon butter glaze. Creamy and rich, flecked with kernelsnof sweet corn. Grouper is flaky, white and tender. The lemon in the sauce is a great contrast to the sweet fish. Shrimp perfect - crisp and firm. An outstanding dish! Lastly, lamb chops. Prepared perfectly medium, the meat tender and juicy. Served with fingerling potatoes and (on request) grilled asparagus. Give this place a try, you will NOT be disappointed.
