Racism....came in around 6:15 pm after work and sat at the bar. Took 15 min to even be acknowledged. The bartender barely checked in on me. It was busy, I get it, I've been a server and I understand it's not an easy job. This guy was going around talking and helping literally every other customer who are white and ignored me most of the time. Now usually when I sit alone I'll have an earbud in and listen to something so I don't expect friendship or long conversation but not even a simple check in. I asked for a refill of tea, he proceeded to help others instead. Eventfully I got upset and asked about my tea and he said it's being brewed. Like okay that's cool but you'd couldn't have told me?! Like basic communication dude. Overall I wasn't happy about the experience. Intended or not it felt like I wasn't welcome. I was also given the bill without a simple hey do you need/want anything else as if hey get the eff out in comparison to him checking on all others and asking them if they wanted drinks and refills. Again all white customers. At the bill I left my comments and left no tip. The bartender says "nice comment" and I'm like well hey it's how I felt and he proceeds to engage and say "you kind of people are the worst" like not even an once of hey this could be the perception that's happening here or even just hey I'm sorry you felt that way it wasn't intended. Just proceeded to basically say it was my fault cause I had an earbud in. I flipped him off and then even tried to converse with him and say okay let me understand where you're coming from. It's a two way street for sure. I can't be a dick and expect gold service. But because I was wearing and earbud I didn't have to be served or checked in on?! I asked for the manager and he said "I am the manager, now what?" At the end I even tried to apologize like okay maybe I got too sensitive and he just walked away. Food is okay but the place is run terribly. Always something missing and/or done wrong when picking up food. Some waiters/waitresses were good but others have been rude. Went to pick up a $100+ order yesterday and they had given it to someone else. No apologies or attempt to make it right. Just made us wait an extra 30-45 minutes while they remade the food. The service here is abominable! It's hostile at best. Seriously. I had to ask for: a fork, a plate, a knife, salt and pepper, and I got my own napkins because it was easier. Our server had an attitude that we asked for these basic things that you usually get with your meal. Ridiculous! The food runners bring you food and they can see that you have no plates but they never bring them. You have to ask them for plates. Jalapeño poppers appetizer for two--no plates. Chicken fajitas for two served on one big sizzling platter which is how they're done, then each of us got the sides on our own plates (lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, tiny amount of chopped tomatoes), plus rice and beans, so there's no room to put the tortilla down to make the fajita. You need plates to put the tortilla on, in order to fill it. We had to ask for them both times. The one time they brought us tiny little saucer sized plates. We asked for bigger plates and the food runner was like, I don't know. What?! Finally we got some larger plates. Very strange. That's been two times now with terrible service. This time our server checked on us towards the very end of our meal. I was already finished eating. Then she came back and asked if we wanted the check. I guess she wanted to get rid of us. There was no offer of dessert. She did no upselling whatsoever. Forget about a drink refill for the $2.50 soda. That will never happen here. Then she brought the check and didn't even say thank you. She couldn't even get out a quick "Thanks." She got a 10% tip because my boyfriend is very nice. She didn't deserve it. If the service had been good, she would have gotten 20%. I don't know what's going on here but management needs to train or re-train these servers on how to properly wait on tables, as well as how to be polite. Both times they acted like they were doing us a favor by waiting on us. The food is decent (fajitas) but the awful service takes away from being able to enjoy dinner out. The atmosphere is nothing special. The lights are too bright and the music is way too loud. Don't come on a weekend night either. You'll wait for the privilege of getting treated rudely. My fiancé and I went to Gran Rodeo for the first time last night for dinner. We were seated right away and given fresh chips and salsa which were great! I ordered the house margarita and my fiancé ordered the sangria margarita. Overall, we liked the sangria margarita better than the house. For food, he ordered the California burrito which was huge, and I ordered the create your own combo with a chicken quesadilla and beef taco, which also came with rice and beans. Everything had amazing flavor and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be coming back! read more

Awful Father's Day food. My tacos had such a huge chunk of fat in my first bite that I couldn't take another. My daughter's chicken salad was full of large chunks of onion (and little else) and when the dressing finally came to the table it was the same brand of pre-packaged dressing that comes with her school lunch. I ordered a vegetarian entree and it tasted strongly of fish. My girlfriend ordered enchiladas and they were served ice cold on a steaming hot (ie: microwaved) plate. The manager could not have cared less. It then took about 20 minutes to leave because the waiter never came back to get the check. This location was terrible (I recommend you go to the North Wales one). The tacos were wet, missing ingredients had us change orders, the food came out at different times, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and not well-trained. The food is just okay. The bar is really good, lots of choices and the bartenders are very polite and get the job done. The street tacos are pretty good. However their queso, it's not good at all. It taste way too much like mayonnaise and velvita. YUK! And they use this queso throughout all the meals. I had a Chile Riano it was full of that yucky queso. Chips are ok. read more

This is the second one time we visited Grand Rodeo, first time was amazing clean, waitress was on top of it and the food was delicious. We decided since we had a great first experience to try it again tonight. We called ahead and were told no wait at this time, we thought great let's go. When we arrived it was not extremely busy, we were seated right away and were given the chips and dips right away. We all started looking at the menu and I noticed mine had food stuck to the pages, several pages. No biggie someone forgot to wipe this one down, then I turned to my son and noticed the window sill and the glass between us and the people by the bar was digusting, food in the sill, probably been there for several days. We ordered drinks and appetizers, the waitress delivered and took our order. Then the wait began, half hour and no food, fourth five minutes and no food, and not just us, everyone else was not given food. Finally out waitress told us the kitchen is backed up and we should have our food soon. Finally food was delivered, I ordered the Street Tacos, first bite was gross, all dried up over cooked steak bites, and the rice was cold. We waited so long I wasn't even hungry anymore and especially after the first bite. I get that places are picking up now but you have to keep it clean still as a level of courtesy for the customer. Heard good things about the Montgomeryville location so I was excited when they opened closer to me. So so disappointed. We waited 20 minutes from the time we sat until a server came to our table and that's only because we got up to ask the host if we were supposed to have anyone. The sever was ungodly slow and clearly didn't know what she was doing. We were nervous if we were even going to get the right orders (spoiler - we didn't) and when the appetizers finally showed up, our entrees came 5 minutes later. Again clearly server just put everything in and doesn't know how to space orders. We hadn't even gotten drinks (by now it was at least an hour since we sat). When my friends food came, it wasn't wrong just once but twice and the second time we sent it back, the food runner rolled his eyes at us and gave us attitude about it. (First time it came with beef when she asked for shrimp, second time it came with beans and no rice when she said she only wanted rice) At this point we talked to a manager because we were fed up with the service. Manager was very nice and apologetic, promising to "play with our bill." We enjoyed the rest of our meal and when the bill came, surprise surprise nothing was touched. We just paid and left at that point. 2 stars for the food and nice manager. Hopefully in a few months they will have servers better trained and everything will be better. read more

I went for my third time today and was unimpressed with my service and manager working today. I've had great experiences and food from here until today where I had a server who was undertrained. Server had to continuously ask about happy hour specials just for our drinks to not be apart of happy hour. Fine I understand mistakes happen. Said he'd see if he can get them removed, that was appreciated. Friend ordered a burrito without beans and asked to make sure no beans were on it, yes beans came on it after she took a bite. When new burrito came, served asked how everything was, I ordered a new margarita which sat on the ledge for probably 15 minutes. Server and manager walked by it until manager grabbed it and I decided to make a comment of "saw you both walk by that for about 15 minutes" manager replied to me "my bad". I have never been somewhere wheres multiple mistakes happen and manager hasn't come to try and speak to you and then when he does says something like that. Server got our bill discounted, and was decided that the manager was unsocial and probably in the wrong job choice for not speaking to costumers about their service. All in all, food is good but my service has surprisingly went down from my first visit around grand opening. read more
