Visited during summer months so we did not get the complimentary breakfast as school was not in session, though complimentary coffee and tea were available. The tables looked pretty with white table cloths and baby blue napkins, they had adorable stuffed animal decorations on the buffet and a pretty wooden rocking chair for me to sit in near the windows when it was time for the games. I had assumed my mother had provided all those props and decorations, but she said Willits provided everything! I thought that was pretty impressive. They even provided a microphone for the games. The food was delicious. We did a breakfast buffet. Since I am vegan, Willits made me my own vegan entree without hesitation (my mother let them know in advance.) Normally, when traditional restaurants make me a vegan option, it's not that great. But Willits made me a really delicious tofu scramble, and I was happily surprised by how good it was. My mother told me that Jennifer, Assistant Director of Conference and Event Services at Willits, was extremely helpful and stayed in contact with her throughout the planning. We also had my bridal shower there ten years prior, so it felt really special to have my baby shower there, too. It's a beautiful venue. Not to mention, one whole wall is glass and overlooks the gorgeous lake and campus. Thank you, Willits, for providing such a beautiful space for a memory we will cherish.

It was immaculate, and perfectly cozy and welcoming. Pat (the host) sent flawless directions on how to get there and where to park, and greeted us when we arrived. She told us all about the unit and even offered a suggestion for dinner when we asked about local restaurants (the Yarde Tavern she recommended was superb). It was exceptionally cold outside the weekend we stayed, but we had no issues with heat inside the unit... we were nice and toasty warm the entire time. We loved the included coffee and had several cups during our stay. The notes about the area and even the local water were so helpful, and I felt completely comfortable drinking the tap water. Everything about our stay was perfect... it felt like a home away from home and had amazing little appointments (like extra blankets) that made it feel so wonderfully homey and comfortable. The unit itself is gorgeous and decorated with all the right little touches. The bathroom is AMAZING - I wish I had the same at home! My husband works while on the road, so having a solid internet connection was much appreciated! Often in hotels you have speed problems, but we had none. Outstanding! And having the extra space in the second bedroom where he could set up his laptop was a great bonus as well. As you can tell, we truly loved our experience staying here. I can't say enough good things about it. We love the area and will definitely stay at the White Rose BNB when we come back for another visit. HIGHLY recommended!! Ps. Have breakfast at Sylvester's and browse Thorns Marketplace in Northampton. Get a treat at The Pie Bar in Florence. Have dinner and a movie in South Hadley. Get dinner and donuts in Amherst. All a short drive away!!

It is only the cottage that is available for guests and the price is quite reasonable. Pat, the owner, has thought of everything practical and tied it all together in elegance. The cottage sleeps 2 - 6 people and is really a super large room with a loft but part of the great room is sectioned off by an armoir and curtain with a queen size bed enclosed. The floor to ceiling curtains give a bit of wimsy to the room that is tastefully decorated. Fisher speakers are part and parcel to the entertainment system. (I wasn't able to try them out but the next time we definately will) The leather couch and loveseat were perfect for sitting around and talking until 1am. The dining room table was roomy enough for dinner and glasses of wine. The galley style kitchen was well stocked with paper towels, sandwich bags, cutlery, pans, mugs, wine glasses, bowls, decent steak knives and coffee condiments among so many other things. The palate for the kitchen is a gorgeous red, black wrought iron and stainless steel. The bathroom was roomy and had so many towels! I love that! There was bar soap, and a simple shampoo. Also decorated quite nicely. The skylight brightened the room during the day and allowed for bug-free star gazing at night. The Loft had a king size bed that was uber comfortable, an excess of blankies, a lovely mirror and a table with chairs along with a wing back sitting chair. Lots of rubber coated hangers and an iron and ironing board were in the space as well. Another star-gazing skylight available. Did I mention there was a washer and dryer along with a hand-wash airdryiing set up? Fridge stocked with bottled water too and coffee in the freezer. Lovely and well-kept gardens and a breakfast to die for! Pat is quite accommodating and super nice. Tell her Joanne, Atom and Ron sent you!

But, I had to knock off a star because the Wifi in the rooms doesn't work. This is a massive disappointment for what is supposed to be a modern hotel. As is the case with technical things, I assumed it was a me problem. The friendly front desk staff explained that the public WiFi works fine but the guest Wifi is problematic. This means that after driving for 2 hours and arriving hangry and with hours worth of work to do, I have to sit in the lobby to get anything done. It is challenging to focus because there are other groups here talking. I am loyal to the Marriott brand and have the gold lifetime elite to prove it, but I don't think I will stay in this hotel again. After a day of work, I want to be able to settle in my room, order some food, take my bra off, and do the work I need to do to get ready for the next day. So I must say, this is a huge disappointment.

They have wine and beer for sale. Neither selection is great but duckhorn reds are a strong option. No IPAs for beer and that's disappointing. Wifi was also disappointing and the TV was very strange, rebooting several times before we could watch anything. Hot water seemed limited when we were there but perhaps they were booked up and we were all using it at once? We enjoyed our stay and will return.

We stopped here (two cyclists) freezing cold, and the woman at the desk welcomed us in and gave us a rate comparable to a Motel 6. The place was redone six months ago on the inside of each room (only 17 rooms, so I have called ahead to make sure there is one, just in case....). I was warned, it's nothing to look at, but really who cares about a book's cover when there's an amazing story on this inside? Ok, that's cheezy... but this place is WORTH IT. Mini-fridge/microwave, king size bed, lots of light, modern/clean furnishings, large tv with cable (HBO, etc) marble bathroom tile, small, but efficient closet, free internet, pedestal sink, hot shower, AC, desk with formal chair, table and chairs. -- oh and I think all of the rooms are on the first floor! The room rate for last night (sunday) was $55/night (maybe AAA rate) and I joined the ABVI club and got 15% off! So all for under $52 WHAT A DEAL!!!! I didn't get an apt yet, but was more than happy to spend another night there, as I am right now! Today was a whopping $59, so with my discount and tax: under $55. wow, really? Awesome. just awesome. Check out my photos if you don't believe me! If I have to make a complaint, it's that they had just installed DirectTV and the room I was in had a tv that needed to be set to channel 3-- which I didn't know until I said something at check-out, and was told. Wasn't a big deal, had to leave for work, just wanted to check the weather on my way out. --oh tv works perfectly in my current room! ---If this room had a full kitchen, I would consider living HERE instead of looking for an apt.....
