The spaghetti saved this meal...the fries with cheese and bacon was a joke. Also, salad was blah.

We stopped in for a slice of pizza while exploring downtown. The staff here were friendly and there was a good amount of seating with a casual vibe. My bf ordered a slice of cheese and I ordered their Italian flag slice which was Bianca style with tomatoes and spinach. We also ordered a side of meatballs to share. I wasn't a big fan of the meatballs; they were on the dry side for my preference and I didn't care for the sauce. My bf enjoyed them. The pizza was really good! We tried each others and liked both slices. The cheese slice was one of the better plain cheese slices I've had! The flavor was good, it was a perfect amount of cheese, and the crust was on point. The Italian flag was yummy and I loved the spinach and juicy tomato bites. Prices were inexpensive as well! We debated getting one more slice even though we were full because we liked it so much haha. I am happy we tried this spot and would definitely return!

Eureka!! Finally found the best pizza here in Norfolk and this is a true winner of a very tasty crust that is crispy from the edges of the pizza all the way through to the center very delicious.. and I also fab red sauce with fresh mozzarella! didn't think it could be done, but I found it! no more soggy chewy pizza!!! an excellent fine

We ate the pizza so fast that we didn't even get a full picture, but we ordered a half cheese and half pepperoni

This place was a nice spot to stop into as my niece and I were on our way to a concert. The service was great and the pizza was delicious!!!! The fries were good too. We didn't have time to enjoy the whole pizza due to not wanting to be late for the show but the staff was so accommodating and kept our pizza for us until we returned. And it was still hot! Nice spot to a grab a slice on the go!

We came here with a pretty large party with kids. They were able to seat us very quickly. We ordered our drinks which came out fast. The beer some of the party got was old and you can tell it's been sitting a while. The appetizers we ordered were good and came out very quick. We got cheese sticks and fried mushrooms. Our main dishes took 20-30 mins to come out, which wasn't fun with hungry kids. I ordered a calzone and it was huge! Taste wise it was ok. Lacked flavor and had so much cheese (too much for me). The server was friendly but forgot a lot of things here and there. Overall, a nice spot if you're looking for a cheap and filling meal.

Pizza is the best around, Italian Stromboli wasn't it, but the garlic knots came in clutch!! Cute little restaurant with friendly staff. Always a go to when we are in town.

An excellent pizza; not too thick and not too thin. Floppy but still crispy. The red sauce is great to get on the side for dipping crust. Probably my favorite pizza in town. Service was nice over the phone and very helpful.

Delicious chicken tortellini with Alfredo sauce and side salad and two slices of garlic bread. Friendly servers! Small outdoor seating. Great place, will come back!

So we ordered the spicy pepperoni that many reviewers mentioned. Glad we did. When we arrived, we saw the front parking to be full. Fortunately, I looked at the Google Maps aerial view and saw the parking lot behind the pizzeria. We accessed the lot via an alleyway just past the pizzeria. The pizzeria is small. Has some seating but is more suited for takeaway orders. We got the pizza to go. When we opened the box, we were pleasantly surprised by how big the pizza was. Each of the six slices was about the size of some personal pizzas. The sauce & pepperonis were nice & spicy. The pizza was dotted with dabs of creamy ricotta cheese. Nice counterpoint to the spiciness. Fresh basil leaves added some flavour and looks. The crust was thin and delicious. Well worth the $22 price. We'll come back for the pizza whenever we're in Norfolk.

They earned bonus points from me because the bar also had purse hooks. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Several checked on us or delivered items during our visit. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer, and a three cheese pizza for lunch. The meatballs were good, they weren't amazing, but they're good. I expected them to be a little larger, but they were hot and had lots of sauce to dip our bread in. The pizza was what we came for, and it did not disappoint. The crust was chewy and a bit charred on the bottom. It was not oily at all. Which I absolutely love. The ingredients were fresh, and it came out in a timely manner. They had a large variety of drinks, but all of them were in cans in a cooler. They also provide a pitcher of water at your table. I really like this place and I would've definitely given them a 5-star rating had they had fountain drinks and larger meatballs. Will be adding them to our rotation!

The slices here are HUGE--like, you need two plates just to hold one. It's super filling and definitely worth the price (usually around $5 for a cheese slice, a little more for toppings). I'm not normally a thin crust person, but their thin crust is actually really good. The cheese is flavorful, the crust has a great texture, and even a plain slice hits. That said, I'd definitely recommend trying one of their specialty slices too. The shop itself is pretty small with limited seating, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. During lunch rush, it can get packed, but service is usually quick and the staff has always been friendly in my experience. They also have extras like Parmesan and peppers so you can dress up your slice however you like. Overall, if you're in downtown Norfolk and want a solid, no-frills pizza spot with massive slices, this is definitely the place to go.

This is THE spot for locals in the Portsmouth area. It's no surprise you see reviews from patrons who drive from all over the Hampton Roads area to visit this gem! Service is so friendly and you can tell it is a TEAM! I sat at the bar so got to watch the open kitchen in action. Their system is down pat and you can tell everyone enjoys working with each other. Each dish I watched from prep to service was handled with meticulous care. PRIDE IN WORK AT ITS FINEST! Everyone works to serve you as a team as well, no worry about "bothering" another member of the staff for something, everyone wants you to enjoy your meal. I can tell there are a lot of local regulars as the staff was engaged on a level you only see when your clientele is consistent and have a vested interest in the success of the business. I've been to 16 countries and travelled all over the states, this is truly one of the most friendly establishments I've had the pleasure of being hosted at. On to the food! I see a few people complain about the small menu, that is the SMARTEST thing a business can do. Focus on what you're good at and demolish the competition. High Street Pizza and Pour delivers on this. My eyes were bigger than my stomach so I ordered the meatballs, the special for their pizza pie of the night (a pork belly, red onion, jalapeño, bbq drizzle dream boat of a pie), a tiramisu and two cocktails. The food in pictures looked smaller than in person... omg I ordered for about 4-5 people! But everyone was soooo good. Meatballs were tender with a fantastic red sauce. Pizza had a crispy buttery crust and the pork belly was rendered perfectly. Tiramisu was fantastic (not sure if that's an in house make or pre done, but it was on point), and the cocktails were perfectly poured with just the right amount of liquor. I left with probably two meals worth of takeout the portions were so large and I can't wait until I'm hungry again. I'm new to the neighborhood and as everyone knows, you need to find your fav local spot to frequent. I'm proud to report, High Street Pizza and Pour House has just taken that spot!

It's my own fault. Being a vegan in a world where eateries are not always vegan friendly, I have to…read moredo a lot of research before I even go to a restaurant. And I didn't do enough research about High Street Pizza, I guess. I always check the menu before I even leave the house when going out to eat. I look for vegan friendly items, and sometimes I call to confirm. The exception is PIZZA. Whenever my not-vegan husband and I decide on pizza, I already know I can customize any pizza with veggies instead of meat and cheese. It was date night Thursday, and High Street Pizza had awesome reviews. I did the "vegan thing" and checked the menu first. I found a lot of vegetable toppings, so I knew I could craft a pizza to my liking. We drove from Va Beach to Portsmouth for dinner. I learned that I cannot craft a pizza with no meat and cheese because High Street Pizza will not make a pizza without cheese. I had no idea you can't just take cheese off of pizza. I do it all the time at other pizza places, but the pizza here must be constructed with cheese. I was told I could get vegan cheese, but I didn't want that. Option 2-order a salad. I opted for the Greek Salad, hold the feta. And since the menu said it came with a red wine vinaigrette dressing, I could eat that instead. After placing our orders, the waitress returned and informed me the red wine vinaigrette was made with mayonnaise at High Street Pizza. The very name of the dressing is a list of the ingredients: Red wine Vinegar How does MAYONNAISE get in there? I even Googled it to make sure I wasn't getting it confused: extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, mustard, oregano, and salt Of course, the dressing can be altered to be "creamy". And yes, there is a CREAMY red wine vinaigrette. But that's not what the menu said. High Street Pizza listed the dressing as just "red wine vinaigrette." I didn't eat anything that evening, but my husband loved every morsel of his sausage and mushroom pie, however. He even said it was one of the best pizzas he ever had! In their defense, High Street Pizza doesn't tout themselves as a vegan friendly restaurant. I am not disappointed about the pizza because my choice not to eat vegan cheese is my preference. They tried to offer an alternative, I chose not to opt for the cheese alternative. Consider listing your salad dressing as "creamy red wine vinaigrette" though. It makes a huge difference leaving the word out.
