Picked up 3x14" pizzas for $35, 2 cheese and 1 pepperoni. If you're looking for NY style pizza, this isn't it. More like Little Caesars, taste and texture, made fresh by local spot. Large menu for a smaller place. Friendly staff member took phone order. Plenty of parking spots. HDTV in dining room (empty on my visit). For a more traditional NY style pizza, check out Pizzeria on Virginian Dr or Del Vecchios near ODU.

These are actually real onions! LOL Not too greasy.

I'm originally from NYC, and the classic NY slice is, hands down, one of the best creations in the history of the US. So naturally, I'm more critical when it comes to pizza. First off, I do not eat pizza from Pizza Hut, Domino's, Papa John's, or Little Caeser's; I absolutely refuse! Lol That being said, I discovered Golden Pizza by accident. One day, I was craving pizza, so I looked through Door Dash and I saw a picture of a Golden Pizzeria pie and the cheese pull looked amazing. So, I decided to get a medium pie, with my usual go-to toppings of olives, mushrooms and extra cheese! Pizza arrived nice and hot still, and I really liked how it wasn't too greasy either. Everything from the crust, to the toppings, and the pizza as a whole was cooked perfectly. They didn't skimp out on the cheese too, which I really liked! I must say, Golden Pizzeria was quite a surprise. I thoroughly enjoy eating their pizzas! Subsequent pizza orders from here have all been delicious! Of course, this doesn't compare to what NYC has to offer, but for a local pizza in Norfolk, not bad at all! :D I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants an alternative to the usual fast food pizza favorites like Pizza Hut and Papa John's.

I remember driving by this place one time after a coworker got home. I was wondering what the food was like. Now, I got a chance to say that I went there and enjoyed some pizza. When it comes to the downsides, the atmosphere and the way the restaurant is set up is a negative, in my opinion. First, the dining area is really small, with only two available tables to sit on and eat. I know it is for take outs, but I feel like they could open the dining area a bit more. Covid is still a problem, but I feel like they could make more money if they open and work on renovating the dining area a bit more. Another thing I want to say is that it did look a but run down, and the stickers on it felt a little childish. Those factors do not mean they are a bad restaurant. The customer service I got at the place was really good. The person at the front desk was very nice by informing me that I could sit to enjoy my pizza and even checked on me. There were some conversations between coworkers, but I do not feel like there are any serious problems here. For the pizza, I got the Special Pizza. Before I came here, I read some reviews about the pizza here tasting worse than frozen pizza at a commissary. Honestly, I disagree because it tasted good by my standards. The dough did taste a little stale, but I was able to finish it. My food had quite a lot of interesting flavors on it from the Anchovies to the sweet peppers on it. Overall, I can understand if people do not like this place. I find that the food is pretty alright when it comes to the pizzas. It might not be recommended if you're looking for pizza from another town, but it is a pretty good pizza place for its area. Overall Review Positives - The staff was really nice. - Pizza was interesting and tasted good. - Price was reasonable. Negatives The store looks very old. - Small dining area.

I ordered NO CONTACT DELIVERY, which is offered on their website. after the delivery person banged on my door, called me repeated times, rang my doorbell, and actually higgled the door handle, I called to complain. Manager was rude and told me they don't offer no contact delivery. I told her it was offered on their website. she told me they would do it this one time, but not in the future. I told her I won't order from them again. just go ahead and order from CALZ and not this place.

Ordered from Golden Pizzeria yesterday. Registering on their website offered 15% off for new customers, so I jumped on that deal. Got a large Gourmet Italian, Garlic Knots, Sm Greek Salad, and a slice of NY Cheesecake. Total came to roughly $32 plus tax/tip. Delivery was fast, and delivery guy was very polite. It seems they use a bit of a sweeter sauce, almost like a vodka sauce, but it's still very good. It isn't sweet enough to taste bad. Just pleasantly different. The garlic knots were tasty. The salad was fantastic. The slice of cheesecake was great. Overall, great experience! Will order from again as well as recommend to my coworkers and friends.

Best pizza delivery I've had in a while! Courteous, they called to verify my weird address and when they arrived. The pizza slices are the best and made to order! My food came hot, fresh and quickly!! Great way to end a fun Saturday!

Supposedly this is a baked ziti.

I went in on my way home close to their closing, and after closing my own restaurant. Not the average pizzeria, no slices out or anything prepped and out. I asked about slices and prepare food as I didn't want to inconvenience the kitchen. The owner ( guess) jumped in to tell me that everything was fresh and cooked to order. (Not the question) Her employee told her that I was simply trying not to have them cook after they've shut down. She claims it's fine so I order baked ziti with sausage. Easy........ right? I get home to find that I have received overcooked pasta and marinara sauce covered in a thick layer of mozzarella cheese. No ricotta, and the sausage while tasty was not Italian sausage and I was not three dollars worth of it. Incredibly disappointing I brought it back to the restaurant the next morning. I explained to the owner that the pasta was over cooked it was sitting in marinara sauce there was no ricotta and the sausage was not Italian sausage. She informed me that they do not serve pork, and that my order was their normal. Never again! Are you admit that you're normal is subpar good luck with business.

Delicious cheese pizza!! One slice and it's huge!

Wow!! First time trying this place and let me just say I was blown away! The pizza is delicious and cooked perfectly. For my side salad, all of my order notes were followed. They made everything just the way I like it. Will definitely order again, and hope to dine in once all of this is cleared up. Thank you all! :)

I was told that there was no availability for the evening and I should try to walk in for bar seats. Upon arrival, the bar was not busy so we took three seats and noticed that the table behind us never got sat the entire time we were there. To me, this is a pretentious restaurant that falls below the bar in every way. Second time dining here and would not return because service from Branice C. was a C- in her caring that she was even at work, to the upcharges for extra marinara sauce to go with the greasy overbreaded calamari appetizer. The oil saturated flavor was almost nauseating. Please change the oil in your fryer! Prices were not excessive but the upcharge for using a credit card was. Who really walks around with $300 cash in pocket to pay for dinner without a credit card fee. JUST ADD IT IN YOUR MENU PRICES!!!! The Boar Ragu was truly not boar but probably run of the mill ground beef and the four tiny slices of steak on the Caesar salad was a joke. There are so many other lovely restaurants along this block that this is a skip right past for the future.

Not a lot of parking in the front, but plenty behind. There is a large patio that has vinyl walls, but it doesn't look to be air conditioned at all. Inside is very small and is essentially the kitchen. They were remodeling so the dining room section was closed off. Unfortunately, it was very warm in the area we sat in. Waitstaff: Absolutely wonderful! Our server made our drinks and was knowledgeable in all of the cocktails we asked for which was a breath of fresh air because many places we have gone are not familiar with The Last Word or a Boulevardier (seems odd to me). Food: They started off with some bread and salted butter. We thought it was a little too salty for our tastes, but good none the less. We tried the watermelon salad and clams. Both were really, really good and would highly recommend both. We finished with a fig tart that was excellent! Overall: For the evening, I would rate this a 4.5 restaurant. Kind of funky with the seating, not thrilled with the temperature, but the food and drinks made it worth it. I would definitely recommend.

My husband asked about the Cesar salad consistency , oily or creamy....she said creamy but it was oily. Anyway, tho it wasn't what he preferred, he said it was still good. Our server wasn't too attentive. I would have liked a second glass on wine when dinner arrived. I ordered the marinated chicken breast with added pesto and provolone cheese, very tender, juicy and it had a great pesto flavor! However, the Greek potatoes, as my side dish of choice, was disappointing. The potatoes were over cooked, over seasoned and over oiled. My other choice of a side was steamed broccoli and it was very fresh, hot and (beautifully green ) served with roasted whole garlic cloves. My husband ordered the ziti Fellini ( with smoked tomatoes, chicken, mushrooms in a cream sauce). He enjoyed it. The place looks like a well loved neighborhood charm. I felt as if a lot of regulars were there.
