This is definitely one of our best vacations taken so far. We flew into Cancun Airport, and from there to the resort takes about an hour or so without traffic (add bout 30 more minutes with traffic.) We used Amstar as our transportation (Part of the vacation package) and they were amazing also. Front check in desk was very helpful, we dropped in around 0130, our plane was delayed about an hour so we were arriving really late to the hotel. The resort is clean and well organized. It is huge, but everything it is relatively easy to find. Restaurants, beaches, pools, activities and most of the stuff is at walking distance, and if it's not or you just do not feel like walking, there are kind of like golf cart taxis that drive around the property stopping at their various stops to pick people up or dropping off. Their main restaurant (The Yucatán) is a buffet style restaurant, tons of different foods and drinks, so many options. Waiters and staff are super helpful, friendly, and professional. I have been trying to taste all the different foods around the buffet hahahaha and so far, no disappointments. There are a lot of souvenir shops at Walking distance from the main lobby the big one is called (Doña Isabel), lots of Mexican arts (Make sure you negotiate the price of things always) about 99% of the time they will lower the price! You can also take golf taxi right in front of the main lobby, about a 1 minute ride.) Rooms are nice too. Kinda of weird in a way. The shower door is a bit transparent (not 100%) and since the shower is kinda outside of the bathroom. Looks like an open bathroom except for the toilet that has its own room. It is definitely a very nice resort. With lots of activities (Kayaking, snorkeling, jet ski, beach, pool, bicycle ride tours, pyramid tours, dolphin swims, zip lining, jungle walking, a teens club, and more) We love this place, really wish we could stay much longer.

Amazing all-inclusive resort with a very kind staff. They have golf carts that help you get around, as well!

Absolutely beautiful! Everything about this hotel was spot on. The rooms were clean, staff were super nice, food was great, and activities were very fun. I watched the Origen show and I can honestly say I was impressed. I've already recommended this hotel to friends/family who are planning on visiting Cancun/Tulum. It's a 10/10 for me

Stayed at this resort for our Bi-Annual Couples Trip Retreat. Usually when I arrive at a resort, I am greeted with some sort of local pleasantry while waiting to be checked in... not here. Also, I requested a junior suite and upgraded once I got to the clerk. Once I got to my room, I did not have a view and the room was a lot smaller than I expected. I also had to request towels and wash rags daily. The food on the resort is average.

We were here for 1 week and absolutely loved it. Each building has a concierge that is able to handle bookings or notify you of upcoming activities. My concierge was very helpful and communicated with me through whatsapp. You can also use the hyatt app to find this information. The resort offered many things to do throughout the day. There is also a beautiful beach, and the resort is a short walk to the town of Akumal. Activities were endless (in the morning). There are also some activities that have a limit on participants, so you may need to reserve early such as midnight for paddleboarding, or get to them at least an hour early to have a spot. Unfortunately pools were shutdown by 7. There were multiple restaurant/food options. Drinks were everywhere! There was also drink service at the pools. Room service was included and mini fridge restocked everyday. Tipping was not expected here, but they did accept pesos / US dollars. Overall an amazing experience. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this is a great place to start.

Secrets is an adults-only resort, so you wouldn't see any kids running around. We were there for a week, and it was a really nice and relaxing time. It was a really nice adult vacation where all you do is eat and drink. Also, the resort offers activities you can join, but some require advance sign-up, which you can do through the app or your building's concierge. There were a good number of restaurants that you could go to. And there was a good number of bars as well. The staff was really nice and frendly always greeting you and making sure that you are okay. One downside is that if you want to lie at the beach, you will need to get there early to get a chair. A majority of the time, we were at the quiet pool, where people would just be doing their own thing, such as reading a book, on their phone, or just taking a nap. Some people would go into the pool from time to time. But definitely more relaxing.

While it was his…read moresecond or third time spending time at the Bahia Principe resorts in Cancun, it was my first. Overall, we had a wonderful 7 night stay. Buffets: The daily buffets were offered 3 times a day and had themed sections, like Full English Breakfast, Mexican, Pizza, Dessert, etc. All of the selections I made were very yummy. I particularly enjoyed the variety of breakfast poached eggs as well as the green juice. They try to label each item with the name of the food and any allergens, which was confusing at times. One white rice would state that it had wheat, but the other white rice was not labeled with the wheat. I asked a manager and he helped me to understand, but pointed out another food item that had no wheat allergen sign and said that that is made with gluten. All in all, if you have an allergy, be very careful with your selections. They do have a dedicated gluten-free bakery case and toaster. If you're vegetarian/vegan, you might not find enough protein here. Restaurants: We made dinner reservations for each night and loved the variety of restaurants. I would recommend checking out the menus before you go and making reservations early, as we met people who didn't and were stuck with 9:45pm reservations or none at all because they didn't book ahead. Grounds/Rooms: The adults only Sian Ka'an campus is lovely, surrounded by lush trees and beautiful birds. The pools are the big ticket item here, and lots of people lay out each day relaxing. We had the penthouse suite with the jacuzzi. The room was more or less basic, with just the essentials. The bed was large and comfortable. I enjoyed how they re-filled you mini bar each day. We would've used the jacuzzi more if you didn't have to refill and drain it each time you wanted to use it. Upon arrival, we celebrated our honeymoon by putting a ribbon on our door and rose petals on our bed, which was sweet. Service: The service here was excellent. Every single employee was kind and friendly, always saying hello. They love when you put effort into speaking Spanish, so feel free to practice. They all work very hard, and it shows. The drinks are veryyyy weak, including the shots, which is probably company policy and for the better since we're sipping them all day long anyway. The golf cart service to and from the various hotels was good overall. Occasionally there was a delay or we had to wait a while for a ride, but overall it's a fine system and makes it feel like a little adventure going to and from each resort. Overall, Sian Ka'an was a great value for what you receive. We booked with their Black Friday sale last year, so maybe check that out if you're looking for a better deal. We would definitely come back!

A taxi will cost 50-75$ depending on your driver ; rates seem to changed even when coming & going to same location. So having a rental at this location of the hotel might be better idea however please be aware this hotel is down a bumpy long dirt road! Two( Check in) went pretty while expect for the paper signing about 20 papers than I was told to make sure all my signatures matches my passport as they may have to call me back out if the owner does not agree with them ( Wierd) .Also got a free welcome drink of choice which was nice !!! Third( room) ; just as described; I booked the deluxe room which had a private shared pool with 2 others. WIFI went in and out. Pretty bad if you need to do work or school work as I did being I took a summer class.( I didn't allow housekeeping to come while there and I didn't use the safe just to keep everything safe as I read other reviews on Travelocity. Shower Water did get warm after I realized the correct way to turn it ( my fault) ! Fourth( hotel restaurant) it said free breakfast which from reviews I read was free a few months ago it's no longer free the only thing that was is a choice of ( coffee, orange or fruit) you pick 1.. disappointing since that was one of my reason of booking the hotel ! Also breakfast was not too pricey but dinner and drink are like if we're in the us ! No difference in price. I also ordered a certain breakfast plate which they did not make correctly it was missing two items .. Fifth( pool/beach) ; I use the top balcony pool once it was nice with an amazing view. Beach was rocky and had a lot of seaweed I did not even go on the beach even tho it had a lounge chairs . Best part; the view ; staff was very nice & friendly ! It's very secluded & private if that's what your looking for. Covid testing was 120 each usd Covid testing cheaper elsewhere noticed after being taxi too a bar and it's many other places just a heads up but at least they provided it . The service at the buffet was anything but great, felt like an inconvenience every time we wanted a refill. Can't even take food back to the room, and they'll chase you down if you leave with their glasses - only can walk around with an 8oz plastic cup. Same cup all their watered down, sugary cocktails are served in. Never been more disappointed on a vacation and the fact that this is our honeymoon stings even more. I understand the good google reviews, as they come to your table and wait for you to give them a review... make sure to be watching you the entire time before you leave, so yeah who will leave an honest review that way? Not to mention found a cockroach in our room too. The mini fridge they say they will stock daily, they must stock with whatever they have left, because only certain items have been restocked. Super overpriced for the service and quality. And getting a taxi? Outrageous prices through the resort. Don't stay here unless you like disappointment at a high cost! Oh yeah, the alacarte dining is impossible to get reservations for, so enjoy the buffet! Or not. Since they don't restock items there either. Waited and talked to over 4 members of staff over 30 minutes just for some shrimp cocktail- a cold dish... Room service? That's included but it will come to you cold. Oh yeah, my husband also got food poisoning while here. WOULD NEVER STAY AGAIN. I would however, recommend this to my worst enemy. If you want to have a sour stomach, overpriced rooms, and horrible food, come and stay here. But for us, never again. Also, came back to a clean room but now our toilet does not flush?
