I stayed in a junior suite. The room was a little dated, but I was able to adapt.

The staff was attentive and accommodating. You can visit other resorts by shuttle rides. I enjoyed the pool activities and the scenery was amazing.

There was so many bad experiences that I kept a daily log but when I posted it here it exceeded the maximum Yelp character length so I'll sum it up. Our room was outdated, and decorative pillows had a better time than we did (see stained picture). Mini-bar was a joke with a couple of room temperature sodas, water, and beer. Water from the shower poured onto the bathroom floor. The food in the buffet was bland (outside of the specialty restaurants which were great). They also ran out of food all the time and the kitchen staff DID NOT wear gloves. I witnessed several staff handle food without gloves. Poolside snack areas were bomb-dived by birds, especially the nachos. Poolside service was non-existent, mixed drinks tasted chemically. Spa: there were ads everywhere for discounted spa treatments but the spa itself does not recognize those discounts. The kiosk in the lobby had the promotion listed but it didn't work. Customer Service did not want to help until I started yelling "False Advertisement". At that point I asked for a manager who applied the promotional discount. Overall: we would never stay here again.

Had the opportunity of staying here twice in the past. I love that it is quite a family friendly resort. It's a very large resort so walking around from one end to another takes a while. I thoroughly enjoyed the food here as well.

The resort is beautiful, a few feet from the ocean, great views. The rooms were comfortable and the service was outstanding. The specialty restaurants had great service but honestly, the menus need to be re-worked. The Indian restaurant served something like Indian food, the Peruvian restaurant was really sub-standard in terms of the menu. This is really a management issue, nothing to do with the staff. The presentations were good but the food itself was so-so, except the seafood restaurant - that was great. That being said, the main buffet was wonderful, the lunch restaurant was very good, the coffee shop was nice. The staff for children's programming were wonderful!!! I can't say enough about them. This is a classy and beautiful place with great service and a lot of activities. I highly recommend Bahia Principe Akumal.

Stayed at the Tulum resort even though the staff was very friendly the Food and drinks are sub par (even though there are plenty of choices) especially the ala carte resturants Booked an excursion 1/11/2023 to Chichen Itza thru the Bahia website but was cancelled at 7:30 in the morning for a 7:40am pickup (woke up early and rushed thru breakfast) was talked into another excursion 1/8/2023 and kept this one 1/16/2023 on the chance Chichen Itza was open unfortunately my travel companion hurt his foot on one of their excursions (Buggy Tour) and couldn't do the walk Couldnt cancel or speak to any one because it was Sunday. Was told to fill out a paper as a formality and I would be reimbursed. After I left nothing was done about it and they give me the excuse that now they can't do anything about it They lied to me and stole my money when they told me (Mariana) to be a no show and that the refund was a done deal DO NOT BOOK AHEAD OF TIME THRU THE WEBSITE ITS A THIRD PARTY LINK AND A SCAM AND BEWARE OF COMING2

How the door should look... see next pic to see how the door looked after we were robbed

Me and my friend were drugged, robbed for our wallets, cards, money, jewelry and anything designer/brand name. We were at the pool when we arrived, got drinks, don't remember anything from there. Woke up missing all our jewelry and wallets, money, cards. Had bruises, on our bodies, cuts, and a huge gash on my neck from my necklace being ripped off. The door had the master key cover removed, so it screams inside job.

This place is an absolute hole. They ate rude and way over charged.. it amazes me they have descent reviews on other sites.. rooms are way outdated..roaches beyond acceptable. Food sucks. Sergio the resort manager even agreed but said his hands are tied because his bosses are old dinosaurs and a holes. Yet he says he will fix problems but lies and only gives you mouth service till you leave. In America he's known as a liar. Save your money visit your local dump. Better service, nicer time.

Back in November, the gang took a trip to the beautiful, corrupt, drug pushing country of the United States of America. I'm joking, we went to Mexico and flew directly there and didn't stop in the states. I do recognize both pros and cons to all countries and DO NOT classify all Mexicans as cartel members, drug dealers, poor or lazy because that is simply not the case. Every country has a handful of individuals who just don't care and that's fine. We all can't be, Jane Goodall or Susan Sarandon. But what I did notice down in Mexico, (this is my second time in the country), is that the people work hard. They work long hours, with a smile on their face under arguably liveable conditions just to make $5 a day. It's very difficult to know whether going to a country like Mexico is worth it. If it's safe enough, if you're spending your money in safe place and not into the hands of the cartels. Who owns these paradise resorts? Where is the money we're spending going? Why are they only making $5 a day when they work so hard? These are all the thoughts that ran through my head when we were planning the Mexico trip as well as when we were flying down there. I want to contribute to their economy and give them the opportunity to work, but it's so hard when you don't actually see the money going to the places it needs to go. Then it makes you wonder if the cartels actually do more for the people than the government. It's a very complex situation and it's not one to take lightly. I mention this as we must be conscious as to where we put our money. But NOW.... on the actual review of the resort! It is freaking massive and also about 2 hours from the airport in I remember correctly. It was not close and I remember having to travel decently far. But 2-2.5 hours is NOTHING when talking about traveling distance and just being on a plane for x amount of hours. We bought a couple beers from the bus driver for $3 (USD) each per can. There is so much details that I could tell you about but this is a place that you just have to go to and experience. Oddly enough, I know about 7 individuals who have either been to Grand Bahía Príncipe or are about to go this coming spring/summer. It is most certainly a popular spot for Canadians and you'll find yourself running into people who live down the street to you back home. It is that popular. They have golf karts which transfer people from hotel to hotel to different areas and amenities throughout the resort. We stayed in Tulum ourselves and I found it beautiful. It was spacious and not overly crowded like some of the they resorts. I imagine the price varies depending on which section you want to stay in. They do have a Hacienda, which has a casino, bars and little local shops so you don't even need to head to 5th Ave to get gifts for your friends back home. You can also get a tattoo in La Hacienda or a hammock. I bought a hammock. There is a 24/7 snack bar available. I could tell you stories upon stories but I won't because every experience is different. What I will tell you is that the staff really does want to be there. They care and they make a solid effort. I was able to practice my Spanish, mingle and learn about their culture and the inside scoop of what it really is like to live in Mexico. I wish I was able to share all my experiences as it was life changing, but I cannot. Yes it was an all inclusive resort, but it was much more than that. It was a place where you can go to just forget about the problems back home and focus on the ones in front of your face. To be able to see a different way of life is culturally shocking and changes your perspective. The good unfortunately was very repetitive and probably from frozen, but that was to be expected. We weren't going to France to dine with the rich and elegant, we were going to Mexico to drink our faces off. Which we did. SIDE NOTE!!! There were a ton of British people, a couple from Africa, some more people from the UK, a handful of Americans and the rest were Canadians. A lot of Canadians. Conclusion: paid about $1,500 for all inclusive for 1 week. This is the flight included and everything. It's expensive but it's something that I think everyone should be able to experience at least once. Made some awesome friends who I'm still in contact with through Whatsapp. Definitely add it to the list if you're thinking about traveling! PS. Sorry there aren't a lot of pictures. There is no wifi anywhere except for the lobby. You can pay to upgrade to have it in your room, but why bother? Ended up staying off my phone 90% of the time!

PSA: Anyone who gives this resort anything less than 4 stars is out of their minds and a little nitpicky (no offense). Food: I've never tasted such great food in my life (and I'm a complete foodie). My boyfriend and his family are huge meat eaters and even for the Brazilian themed meat extravaganza, they still accommodated for me and gave me salmon (which was cooked perfectly) because I don't eat meat. Even for the restaurants with buffets, the food was amazing with such an amazing variety. Anyone who is gluten free: they have a section for you. Anyone who is vegetarian (myself): they have another section for you. Anyone who loves their meats: there's clearly a section for you. Cleanliness: these workers are working day and night cleaning EVERYTHING at all hours. They cleaned our room twice a day. They're constantly keeping the grounds clean and tidying up everything in sight. Entertainment: I don't even know where to start. I think it's hard to find yourself bored here. Don't get that confused with not having any relaxing, down time because the Infinity Pool and the beaches are great for that. But if you are the ready-to-go partiers like my group, you will have the time of your life. During the day you can be entertained by the Hacienda where you can shop and bargain, OR go to the pools with different activities every hour. At night they have live music and karaoke, welcoming all. They have the sports bar with billiards, fuse-ball, and other games. They also have the casino and later on if you're still ready to party, the disco. Workers: AMAZING. Karina, Christina, Carlos, and Jose were all amazing and welcoming entertainers by the pools. Florentino was a bartender at the lobby bar in the Sian Khan hotel and he was our favorite guy there. So generous and funny. They made the resort feel like home. They were one of the main reasons why leaving was so hard for all of us. If you get the privilege of meeting them, you're guaranteed to have a great trip! Summary: my group will be back because this has been the best vacation for all of us. ITS A MUST-GO-TO DESTINATION.

Every single person that works at this property is out of this world! Kind, helpful and always going above and beyond to make things memorable! There's always a little bit of construction because they're renovating, so plan accordingly by calling with them to make sure the areas you want open, are open. The new speakeasy is super cute. We visited there one evening and have the best time and service! This isn't the same restaurant where you go to breakfast but at night is a Spanish tapas restaurant. Everything was fantastic but all the food on the property is really great! We especially loved to order lunch by the pool. All the cocktails are fantastic, even poolside! Rooms are standard JW with some of them recently updated with the others on their way to being updated. Yes, there is a sort of a musty smell in the air, but that's in most hotels. It's a very hard to keep those highly humid rooms from smelling a little musty. You just have to get over it and enjoy the time outside the room. Pools are super cute and the beach area is nice. There is an adult pool that is open during the day but wish it was open later! Lots of places in walking distance if you decide to venture out of the property but why would you need to! Easy drive from the airport and to the downtown or for departure to Isla Mujeres. We did not go to the island this time but last time we booked everything through the hotel and they made it super easy.

Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

This was not my first visit to Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it was actually my amazing experience here in 2019 that started my loyalty to Hyatt. I am currently a World of Hyatt Discoverist member, and after my first visit to Zilara, we loved the Hyatt experience so much that we chose Hyatt Ziva for our vow renewal in 2022. Because of that, returning to Zilara was something I had looked forward to for years. First, the staff at this resort deserves so much recognition. My concerns are not a reflection of the employees because the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. From before we even arrived to our final day, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Before our trip, Eddie reached out as our concierge and was extremely helpful in making sure we were prepared for our stay. He helped coordinate our spa services ahead of time and assisted us with securing a late checkout, which made our trip much smoother and more relaxing. At check-in, Luis helped us on the World of Hyatt side and was wonderful. He explained the changes and additions to the resort, helped us understand reservations, and made sure we had the information we needed. Throughout the resort, the service remained consistent. Even when I had a meal I didn't enjoy, a staff member at the teppanyaki restaurant was genuinely concerned, offered alternatives, and wanted to make it right. That level of care stood out. Our room was excellent. We stayed on the fifth floor in a corner room and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, and I loved the pillows so much I am actually trying to find out what kind they are so I can buy them for home. The bathroom was great, especially the mirror with multiple lighting options. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which I always appreciate. The only thing I personally missed was having a bathtub, but overall I had no complaints about the room. The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing with comfortable chairs, and it was never difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is definitely more quiet and relaxing rather than a party environment, which can be a positive depending on the type of trip you want. The beach was well maintained, especially considering the seaweed situation during our visit. The staff worked hard to keep it cleaned up, and the things outside of the resort's control, like weather and ocean conditions, did not impact my opinion. The spa was absolutely phenomenal and I wrote a separate review specifically for that experience because it deserves its own recognition. The gym was also impressive for a resort gym. There was plenty of equipment, treadmills, a stretching/yoga space, and even a Pilates studio. I was hoping to participate in Pilates, but the class filled up quickly. I thought the fitness offerings were a nice addition. Where this stay fell short for me was the food. At an all-inclusive resort, the food experience is such a huge part of the overall value because you are eating every meal on property. When we visited in 2019, one of our favorite memories was eating at Pelicanos by the pool, so we were excited to return there first. We knew things had changed since our last visit, but unfortunately the quality and options did not feel the same. We tried several restaurants, and while the service was always great, the food itself was disappointing. The Italian restaurant felt very bland overall, although the bread service and tiramisu were enjoyable. The cacio e pepe and pasta dishes did not meet expectations. The teppanyaki experience also was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a traditional hibachi-style experience, and the meat quality was disappointing. The buffet was fine, especially breakfast, but nothing really stood out. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly, but again the food itself was not something we loved. My favorite treat on property ended up being the ice cream at the coffee shop. The biggest thing I missed was having easy poolside food options. When I'm at an all-inclusive, I love being able to relax by the pool and grab things like quesadillas, ceviche, or small bites without stopping the pool day. The lack of that type of experience was probably my biggest disappointment. Drinks and pool service were great, and the staff did a wonderful job checking on guests. I personally don't drink alcohol, but it was clear they were attentive with beverages. Entertainment was limited compared to some other all-inclusive resorts. There were some activities and a few performances, but not the larger

The spa was fantastic, offering step-by-step guidance through the dry sauna, steam room, and both warm and cool pools-such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The hotel sits right on the beach with breathtaking views and features several pools, including one with a fun swim-up bar. Dining options were excellent, with several restaurants to choose from, including Mediterranean, Mexican, buffet, Asian, sushi, steakhouse, and American cuisine. Our room was fantastic, with a rainfall shower, comfortable beds, prompt housekeeping, 24-hour room service, and turn-down service. We also enjoyed live entertainment and a night club on the property, yet it remained wonderfully quiet when we wanted to relax. We loved the aromatherapy --it was such a thoughtful touch. The location is very convenient: close to a pharmacy, just across the street from a shopping mall with a mix of upscale and casual dining and shops, and only 10-15 minutes from Cancun's vibrant club zone. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice all-inclusive overall. Not perfect, but definitely a relaxing…read moreresort and a place I'd still give four stars. We checked in on a Sunday around 4:30, and the room was already cleaned up and ready. We stayed in one of the terrace rooms on the fourth floor, and the room was well maintained the whole trip. Housekeeping was really good, and the lady who seemed to consistently clean our room was super friendly. They also do evening turndown service between about 6 and 9, which I liked more than I thought I would. The food was hit or miss. Sea Corner was easily the biggest disappointment. You really have to like ceviche to enjoy that spot. I tried the battered fish taco, which was a really small rolled fried fish taco and honestly tasted kind of stale. The red snapper tostada was okay, but still pretty subpar. Overall, Sea Corner is one I would skip. Ciete's breakfast buffet was decent, but still very buffet. Some of the food had that stale, been-sitting-out-too-long taste, but the omelet bar and fresh juice/smoothie bar helped a lot. They have two omelet bars, which spreads people out, and Marco at the smoothie bar was awesome. He remembered me after my first smoothie and was friendly the rest of the trip. Azure was pretty good. We split hummus and pita, and I got the chicken in red wine. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came on a bed of mashed potatoes that were really good. Dessert was just okay. The baklava was very cinnamon-heavy and almost tasted like a churro. MB was good and definitely felt like their "dress up" restaurant. I had the stuffed chicken, my girlfriend had the veal cheek, and we also tried the filet mignon. The filet was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the meal overall was good. Not amazing, but one of the better dinners there. Hidden Garden was probably our favorite restaurant. We went there twice because it was that good compared to the other options. The samosas, gyoza, chicken satay, shrimp fried rice, and desserts were all really good. The Thao, basically their version of orange chicken, was also really good. The pad Thai was okay, but sweeter than I prefer. Their signature cocktails were also really good. The Thursday night show was a nice part of the trip. They had a buffet by the pool, with a mariachi band from 7 to 8 and traditional Mexican dancing from 8 to 9. The dancing was almost like a theater-style show, and that part was great. The buffet was on par or slightly below par. They had a crepe bar, a grill with pretty good steak and chicken, and a couple decent soups, but a lot of it still had that left-out-too-long, slightly stale buffet taste. The entertainment and activities were a big highlight. Trivia every night was great, and karaoke was a blast once people started getting into it. Pablo hosted trivia and karaoke with Jorge as the DJ, and Pablo brought a lot of energy. Jorge also DJs at Egos later at night, and they played a good mix of American dance music and Latin dance music. During the day, we tried archery, water aerobics, bingo, the guacamole class, casino night, and a self-facial class. Archery was a blast, and aqua aerobics in the infinity pool was really fun. Ricky was a ball of energy, and Jocelyn was really cool too. The activities did not feel like boring resort filler, which was a nice surprise. A few things could be better. Pool towel service closes at 6, even though people are still in the pool later. There is also basically no shade in most of the pools, so you get crispy pretty fast. They also need to be clearer about which pool beds are first-come, first-serve and which ones are paid or for Club Aqua. I saw multiple people get moved because it was not explained well. Communication could be better too. Some restaurants are closed on certain days, probably because the resort was around 50% capacity, but they should give you a schedule at check-in. We planned to try Verana, their Italian restaurant, and then found out it was closed that day. The humidity is something to think about. Obviously it is Cancun, but the indoor areas and hallways do not have much air circulation. Our fourth-floor hallway also had a broken water feature with sitting water, and I think that made the hallway smell more humid and musky than the rest of the resort. The drinks were decent, but I would not go in expecting strong resort cocktails. I drank margaritas and pina coladas most of the trip and never really felt much from them. For stronger drinks, shots are probably the better route. Overall, Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice, relaxing trip. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the activities were way more fun than expected, and Hidden Garden was a nice surprise. The food is not amazing across the board, the pool setup could be better, and communication could use work, but I still had a really good time. Good resort, not perfect, but definitely worth checking out.

There was lots of it available, and since this property doesn't require reservations we didn't have trouble getting into any restaurants. But, the food itself was just fine. Nothing spectacular and a bit bland at times. However, this was still such a positive experience that I would recommend this resort and absolutely return.

From beautiful sunrise to sunset, it's a must come. Mercado Buffet - (as pictured) the woman who was there everyday when I was there, was the bomb! Made tacos so promptly and they were so yummy. Definitely I looked forward to every morning! Habanero - Rafael M., we saw him on our last day. But never have I ever seen anyone so hard in such hot weather and be grateful to meet, greet, serve so many people and still put a smile on his face. If we went the beginning of our trip, I don't doubt we would have been there every single day because of him! The Spa - CESAR! Sofia and Sara are the people you need to cross paths. Cesar is the one who got us in. Never did he rush us, he wanted us to enjoy our time at the pool and he circled back with kindness. And that's the only reason why we committed to the spa! Sofia and Sara were our people at the Spa, and boy did they put in work! I felt so relaxed and decompressed at the end of our trip because of them!!! Tradewinds - Araceli, the one who made our last day special. I told her it was our last day, and she brought the whole staff to sing and had us wear a big sombrero! It was so heartwarming and it made my heart sink, and did not make me want to leave!! The French restaurant is also a must! Loved the potato leek soup and the lamb rack. The Italian restaurant had amazing cheese mushroom pizza! I've been to Hyatt Los Cabo's, and the one thing Cancun didn't have was to go boxes due to regulations. The dolphins are such a cute thing to wake up to and was such a nice thing to do for family and people! We stayed at the Turquoise building. Loved the bath outside the room! It was my birthday, and my boyfriend and the staff really made it beyond special. From roses to balloons, to cards, to the simplest reminder of all them knowing it was my birthday and wishing me the best. You will hear a lot of, welcome family or hi family. Grand Oasis Cancun was the worst all-inclusive resort experience we've ever had…read more We booked this resort for our sons' senior graduation trip based on advertising that promoted it as a fun, energetic party resort. The reality was the exact opposite. Check-in took over an hour because staff claimed they couldn't find our Expedia reservation. Another person in our group had already paid for services through the resort's website but was repeatedly asked for additional payment. Our group spent an extra $1,000 on upgrades hoping to improve the experience. It didn't. The rooms were small, outdated, dirty, and not worth the extra cost. The food was terrible. We expected mixed quality based on reviews, but much of it was barely edible. Making dinner reservations felt intentionally difficult, and once we finally secured them, we were forced to sign agreements acknowledging additional fees if we were late. The biggest disappointment was the complete lack of atmosphere. There was very little music, almost no nightlife, and most activities shut down before 11 PM. We ended up leaving the resort almost every night so the boys could find entertainment elsewhere. What frustrates me most is how misleading the marketing is compared to the actual experience. After more than 15 years of booking travel through Expedia, I'm genuinely disappointed that Expedia continues to partner with and promote a resort that feels built around false advertising, upselling, and disappointing guests. We trusted the Expedia brand, and this resort fell far short of the experience it promised. Save your money and book somewhere else.

The staff was very friendly and tried to help with our request. The room was a junior suite with an ocean view. It was comfortable and our room attendant did a great job. The king bed was two beds pushed together, but with some magic by the wife we made it more like one and were very comfortable. You can get a single king bed in some of the rooms. We were there with friends and didn't want be separated so we stayed with that configuration. I would try and get a room on the west wing. It actually looks to the east and you don't get the extreme heat in the late afternoon that the east wing does. We ate at all of the restaurants and our favs were the Black and White Steak house and Krystal. The Italian restaurant off of the lobby was good for a quick slice of pizza at lunch time. The buffet is like it is on a cruise ship and was good for most of our breakfast seatings. After a few days gets a little old. The staff was super friendly and hard workers. There is a 24 hour refreshment spot, but the food is only so so. Just for a quick sandwich or fruit. They do have a beer tap and a few selections of liquor available there for self service as well. The pool and beach area had plenty of chairs and umbrellas. If you don't see any available just ask and they will make it happen if possible. My complaint about the pool would be they close at 7:00. One small pool stay open until 8:00. Way too early for an adult only. I suggest if you want to do excursions to go straight across the street to one of the stands. If you know what you want to do they are a much better deal, but be certain you know where you want to go. make sure and get transportation included in your excursion. Also in that area there is the Bamboo Spa. You can get a massage for less than half at the resort spa. They did a very good job and were very professional. Not a "happy endings" type of place. Tell them you will do the massage if they throw in the fish foot treatment. Sounds weird but it was pretty nice. This is all inclusive for food and drink. The drinks are pretty light and when you ask for something other than the house liquor I'm pretty sure it didn't happen all the time. The best is to ask for the drink with a shot on the side, or better yet go to the bar yourself and watch them make the drink. It was definitely better and i was assured to get the name brand. Over all I would recommend this RIU.
