2 out of 5 stars! I always see a huge line in the drive-there and after 2 years, I finally decided to stop by to see what the fuss was all about. I ordered a cheese burger ( the meat was tasteless, no seasoning) and chili cheese fries (fries were undercooked and unseasoned, chili has not very tasty and inundated with cheese which I didn't mind since I love cheese). I love this place, and I always have, I can't say I'm ever unsatisfied but I did notice a very big change in one of the items on the menu, the chili cheese fries. The recipe just isn't the same, it has a low quality flavor and the cheese is so thick and melted that it could choke you if you don't chew it enough. I definitely miss their old recipe, and I'd say they need to opt in for some new cheese. The brand their using is overpowering their entire dish. It's good if you're craving chili cheese fries, but it isn't my go-to anymore. I always came to grand burger for the same thing a pastrami sandwich with onion rings they never disappointed . I could only eat half the sandwich and a handful of onion rings saved the other half for later in the day. But I noticed lately the pastrami being more fatty then before so just waited to order again today was that day. Let me start by saying I had been to Grand Burger only once before on my fiancée's recommendation to try their breakfast burritos. This was a while ago, but it was amazing. I'm picky about my breakfast burritos but this one was more than what I expected. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago and we were debating what we wanted for lunch. She asked me if I had tried a burger from Grand Burger yet and I told her I hadn't. She recommended we go there and get their Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger and a side of fries and I am so glad she did. I'm typically an In 'n Out guy (and I always will be), but this was one of the best burgers I've had. I mean, what's not to like? Cheese? Check. Bacon? Check. Avocado? Check. Cheese was melted perfectly, bacon was crisped perfectly and the avocado just gave both the perfect compliment. The patty itself was cooked just right and was juicy and tender. Throw in the thousand island dressing and you've got yourselves a damn good burger. I loved the burger so much the next day I went and tried another bacon avocado cheeseburger at another location where I live but it just wasn't the same. I wouldn't steer you wrong, Yelpers. My husband came in and ordered to go And when he got home the order was wrong. I called them to speak with a manager and they said they don't have one he's not there. (so noone is in charge???) The person, I was speaking with, his name is Diego. I let them know the issue and they said they had the sandwich there and said it was his fault that the sandwich was left behind, that he took the wrong order. You called his number! Really?! It was a walk in order! No apology. So I can come and pick it up or get credit. I decide to pick it up, the hispanic girl who helped me could care less and said it was my husband's fault really?! Update: I tried the onion rings and they are good! You can make any sandwich "a combo". Even better, you can get half onion rings and half fries in a combo! How about that! And it didn't cost more. Service was friendly and quick. Food came out with in 10 minutes of ordering. Noise level is high but that's to be expected, so glad I gave the onion rings a try! read more

I have always been a big fan of this place and have been coming to this location since 1986. However, this past visit was so bad that I will never come here nor recommend anyone else to. I came inside to place an order (hamburger, club and chicken strips). After placing the order I waited along with a few other people. After 27 minutes go by, my wife approached the cashier and asked about the order..:the girl behind the counter said it's coming out now. Just shortly afterwards, another patron approached the girl behind the counter and asked about his order. He asked about his order and received the same reply. He then asked the girl to show him. The girl turned around and asked one of the cooks and the cook replied that they hadn't started yet. I should note that the drivethru was moving fairly quick. We waited another 18 minutes then approached the girl behind the counter again. We asked about our order the girl looked behind her for answer....no reply and we told her if the food is not ready soon we want to cancel order. She then asked a girl behind her....manager maybe. She then opens the register and proceeds to give us money back. No apologies or explanations. We asked what was happening and she replied they haven't started our order. We waited over 45'minutes...what a F@CKING JOKE! I will never return to this place! read more

It's been several years since I went to Grand Burger originally. My mom is currently in the hospital up the street and I drive by here everytime I go to visit so I decided to give them another try. I was hoping I'd be able to up their star rating but in general their food is still just ok. The cheeseburger still has the same problem I reported earlier, too much lettuce. The burger is ok, with ok flavor but unless you pull off some of the lettuce it feels like taking a bite of a salad. I had their pastrami melt and chili cheese fries for the first time on this visit. The pastrami melt was good. Nice and crunchy with the right amount of cheese and mustard. The pastrami was ok, but with the hat right up the road it's got to be amazing and it wasn't. If this place was located anywhere else I'd say the pastrami was a win, but if I want pastrami I'll drive another 5 minutes to the hat. The chili cheese fries were good. Great flavor and texture, but not enough. I've never had chili cheese fries that have what I like to call a nacho problem. There isn't enough topping to satisfy all the fries. Probably the worst experience I've ever had here, I ordered my food at 11:20. I didn't get my food until 1220. The girl on the phone had told me that it was gonna be about 10 minutes and obviously it was way more than that. Of course I was upset so I wanted to speak to the manager, when I did speak to the manager she didn't even look me in the eye and she made no effort to try and make it right . She just kept saying OK and looking down basically like "get out of my face". When I called her out on that, she said well technically you ordered at 11:45 so you haven't been waiting that long. She tried showing me the receipt and telling me that I'm lying. I asked her if she wanted to see my phone on what time I called her. And she kept saying well that's what we have right here so.... if you guys are going to have managers maybe you should have managers who are a bit more mature. This girl just seem like she didn't care, she's obviously not fit to be a manager. I think she makes grand Burger look terrible because that was honestly the worse customer service I've ever had. On Friday (11/9/18) I went to Grand Burger to grab some breakfast burritos with a friend. The pricing is rather competitive. It was around 15$~ for two burritos (Pastrami and Bacon). The burritos are massive, so you really do get a bang for your buck. They cook to order, so be prepared for a wait if it is super busy. (Which it will). It seems that Grand Burger stresses quantity over quality though. The burritos have a very bland and oily flavor profile to them. The salsa was the saving grace. The green salsa packs an immediate punch with both spice and flavor. Overall, I would have to say this was a 3/5. Its the spot where you want a bunch of breakfast burrito and don't want to break the bank. Don't forget the salsa! read more

Man Oh Man , what a awesome breakfast!! This must be one of my top five picks to have breakfast definitely coming back . I might be coming in a daily basis, they have the best breakfast burritos ! I could only finish half of one but what's also is great about this place is the breakfast plates . They definitely come with generous portions . Price is a little high if I had to choose I would rather pick Mollys in the city of Upland but this place is also recommended.
