    BEEF BRISKET PLATE (7oz)
    Jack L.

Das BBQ is definitely a solid spot for barbecue in Atlanta. It is a little on the expensive side -- my brisket plate with two sides came to $27 -- but at least the brisket was mostly tender with very little gristle and had a nice smoke ring. The sauces on the table were a plus: I especially liked the sweet brown and the Georgia peach. For sides, I went with the cole slaw and the corn. The slaw was crisp and fresh, while the corn leaned a little too salty for my taste. The setting adds to the experience -- there's a great outdoor patio that looks perfect for groups or a low-key date night, and the smaller dining room has TVs, comfortable seating, and a familiar, relaxed vibe. Service was friendly and attentive, which made the whole visit smooth. Overall, 4 stars. Leaving that fifth star off just because the pricing feels a bit high, but it's still a spot I'd come back to for quality barbecue.

Good barbecue but I've had better. I love BBQ places that have 3 sauce and they only had 2. They were also out of brisket an hour before closing time. Sad. Wish I could've tried. I got the sausage and pulled pork. Pork was great. Sausage a little rubbery. Mac and cheese was actually phenomenal. Baker beans yum but big pieces of pineapple which I don't like. The chicken wings I didn't need. Too dry. Lots of meat on them tho. The banana pudding was bad. A little butter even. Weird soft top and then mushy and gross at the bottom. Haven't tried the brownie yet!

The office I worked for ordered a catered lunch from Das BBQ and it was way better than I expected. We ordered the brisket, smoked chicken, collard greens, potato salad and the creamed corn. I'm going to be honest, all of the food was great, but my favorite was the creamed corn. I don't know what kind of juju they put in that corn, but I ate a ridiculous amount of it, so much so that it left little room for the brisket and smoked chicken. If you need to hold down an event with great BBQ and the rare good sides, I would recommend that you try Das BBQ!

What I personally need from a good bbq place is good brisket, good ribs, and Mac and cheese. This place has 2 out of the 3... Great st.Louis ribs that are well seasoned and fall off the bone and nice fatty brisket (depends on the cut). The Mac and cheese could be better but the service is top notch and super quick! Also, they have a great rewards program that is super easy to "rack" ;) up points.

PULLED PORK SANDWICH (chips included)* MAC CHEESE (5 oz.)*

Pulled Pork Sandwich: 9/10. Meat was cooked very well, not too tough and not charred. Mac and Cheese: 7/10. I like mine a little more cheesy but I like the noodles they used. Different BBQ sauces were interesting. Hog mop was very vinegary. Not my favorite. Ga Peach Sweet mustard. 8/10. If you don't like regular mustard you won't like this sauce. Southeast Sweet was more ketchupy, still slight vinegar taste but definitely paired well with the Ga Peach Sweet Mustard. 8/10 Southeast Sweet + GA Peach Sweet Mustard= 9/10 sauce combo Service was good and friendly. Nice Saturday Night lounge place. Outside band was good touch as well as cornhole area. Outside Bar great for nice chill night in Atlanta.

When the smoked turkey is juicier than the brisket something ain't right. Collards were really sweet. The Mac was fine.

Does the BBQ sauce/ marinade/ spices contain any fish ingredients? I got a very bad reaction to something I ate here and I'm just allergic to fish. Please let me know so I know what to avoid to eat. Thank you.

Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q…read more Fox Bros. has that hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint feel, but with plenty of space to hang out. There's a bar along with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the overall atmosphere is casual and laid-back. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and gave us some great recommendations, which definitely added to the experience. We went with the three-meat sampler and chose the brisket, ribs, and jalapeño cheddar sausage, with tots and the Fox-a-Roni for our sides. The Fox-a-Roni--a combination of their Brunswick stew and mac & cheese--was absolutely delicious and easily one of the most memorable sides I've had at a BBQ restaurant. The brisket was honestly some of the best brisket I've ever had. It was tender, flavorful, and easily my favorite of the three meats. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was also really good, and while the ribs tasted great, ours were pretty small and didn't have a ton of meat on them. My only real complaint was the portioning of the sampler. We were told that as you choose a larger variety of meats, you essentially receive smaller portions of each. I understand the idea of a sampler, but we literally received one slice of brisket and two-three fairly small ribs, so the portion-to-variety concept didn't make a ton of sense to me. I would've preferred slightly more substantial portions, especially considering how good the brisket was! I also ordered a cocktail, but unfortunately it wasn't really for me. It came across very sweet and mostly juice, although I think that may have been more about the particular drink I chose than the bar itself. Overall, the food absolutely delivered. Between the incredible brisket, Fox-a-Roni, friendly service, and laid-back BBQ atmosphere, Fox Bros. was definitely worth the stop. I'd happily come back--I'd just skip the 3 meat sampler next time and order more of that brisket!

This review is for delivery ordered via their website and fulfilled by DoorDash…read more In a word: underwhelming. Quarter Chicken: fine, I guess. Tender but lacking in flavor. If there was a rub, it was subtle to the point of being almost untasteable. Quarter rack of Ribs: poor. Meaty, but far too tough, definitely not fall off the bone. Again lacking in flavor, and burnt in spots. Side of Mac n Cheese: easily the start of the show. Very flavorful, baked and not swimming in cheese sauce, possible notes of ritz crackers detected. I'd have eaten a main course sized portion, and imagine it could mix well with pulled pork or chopped brisket, should Matt's ever consider expanding their repertoire of meats. Side of potato salad: also very solid. Simple but nicely flavored, just creamy enough. Side of collards: fine but unremarkable. Bbq sauce: decent-ish, more tangy than sweet. Very thick. Packaging : Matt's really could improve here. The ribs and chicken, piled together between two slices of white bread, was wrapped in white paper which was in turn stuffed into a paper bag with the containers of sides. This was messy- yes, bbq is by nature a messy undertaking, but a clamshell container would've made the whole fiasco a lot easier to deal with. A fork and spoon were included, no knife... and no napkins. Really? For a paper wrapped oversauced pile of meat... not even a single napkin? I honestly would've been fine paying an extra buck or so for some better packaging and, IDK, maybe a wetnap. Overall, this bbq lover was unimpressed. Perhaps the rave reviews made my expectations too high. I've honestly had better bbq at multiple places in my relative bbq desert hometown of Boston. I was hoping for a real treat during my business trip to Atlanta; instead, I'm yearning for the joint near my suburban New England home...

What initially brought me in was Atlanta Burger Week, and I ordered their featured burger to take advantage of the special. While the burger was good, the real star of the meal was the smoked barbecue fried rice with brisket. It was absolutely fantastic. It is not often that a side dish completely steals the show, but this one certainly did. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food arrived promptly, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. It is always exciting to discover a restaurant that delivers something a little different, and Sweet Auburn BBQ does exactly that by blending flavors and cuisines in a way that feels both creative and comforting. The standouts for me were the mac and cheese, baby back ribs, and brisket. I also ordered the fried rice, and it honestly tasted just like hibachi-style fried rice, so good!
