We took out a few dishes from the new ownership and were utterly disgusted with the quality. It's been a few more years. I am not sure if ownership changed again, but we decided to give it another chance. I didn't recognize the owner - not sure if it was because of the absence of mask. But first impression was she didn't care to be cordial or friendly, just doing the basic part as a wait staff. On the plus side, the chairs and tables have been upgraded from what I could remember. We ordered our usual dishes in order to gauge the current quality. 2 staple Sichuan dishes: Kung Pao Chicken ($14.95) and Shredded Beef with Hot Green Pepper ($17.95). We also added a noodle dish: Sauteed Noodle with Pork & Scallion ($11.95). Kung Pao Chicken was rendered differently - sweeter and not as dark but tasty none the less. The Shredded Beef was also slightly different, thicker and obviously tenderized with baking soda. It was good enough. The sauteed noodle was good but it's a generic dish so no authenticity to consider. A number of deviations from prior experience. The chicken and beef dishes each only 1 bowl of rice, instead of a big serving bowl for the table. We had to ask for one additional bowl of rice. Not sure if it was missed but we didn't get charged for it. The tea wasn't complimentary any more. $1.50 for the pot. Overall, we weren't disappointed because we came in with low expectation. We will be back again hoping to see that they can at least maintain the same consistency.

I was here on a Tuesday, so it was very slow, there was only one woman running the front of the house. But, they had some takeout orders going out every so often. That being said, the food is really yummy! I was here with my mom and we each had a hot and sour soup. It was fine, but when you add some of the side of black vinegar and picketed ginger... it was very tasty! We shared the dan dan noodles which were delicious! We also had the crab and pork soup dumplings which were hot and tasty. Finally, we split the stir fries beef filet with scallions and miso which was great! The beef was really tender and the s asinine was spot on. This is a great place to come when you want good food with no frills.

The restaurant is big, with one wall donning a mural of white flowers and the opposite wall holding decorative windows and decorations. The special drinks station can be seen near the front, a little bok choy statue propped up on the counter. A flat screen TV can also be seen mounted to one of the restaurant's dividers as well, with two others mounted on the back walls too. We ordered the following: S11- Wontons in Chili Oil- we didn't order this but it was a happy accident order. It turned out the server misheard us and ordered this instead of the dumplings. So, we said no problem and ordered the steamed dumplings, as well. We ended up liking the wontons. S12- Steamed dumplings 6 pieces- this was a slight disappointment in that the dumpling skin was the same as the wonton skin. I was expecting it to be a bit doughier and thick. Instead, it was thin. The dumpling was pretty good and spicy but I was expecting the wrap to be different. We got swayed when we saw it on their tv screen and was expecting it to be thicker. H17- spicy pot with lotus root, mushrooms, tripe, shrimp, ham, potatoes with sesame. There weren't any lotus roots in there. This was very spicy. Hubs liked it a lot and was happy that there were plenty of tripe for him to have. V1- mapo tofu with minced pork- this was pretty tasty and spicy F8- Typhoon Fish Fillet- I always wanted to try this style of fish, so the minute I saw it, I knew I had to get it. Hubs didn't realize that it was fried fish and we didn't know how it was prepared. It's fish fillets and heavily seasoned mixed with onions, shallots, salt and pepper, spicy pepper. According to him, it was heavenly seasoned. LOL. We let the server be aware of peanut allergy and she said that we could order anything we wanted and they won't add peanuts to it. Originally, we were going to go to another restaurant but that was closed for that day. Glad that place was closed and we came here! Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu!

When we were seated at a round table, the chairs were very low compared to the height of the table. I felt like I needed a booster seat. We asked to be changed to another table but were not accommodated. When we ordered our drinks, I asked for a frozen daiquiri. The waiter came back and said they cannot make it. For 8 of us, we ordered soup, 4 egg rolls and 2 portions of spareribs. All came out delicious. We then ordered 2 shrimp with lobster sauce, steamed beef and vegetables, fried rice. The food was cold! When we called to make a reservation, they told us that 7:00 was available, so we took it. Now comes the interesting part. By 8:30 the restaurant was just about cleared out and we were just ordering our dessert. They started washing the floors by us with ammonia! I don't care if they clean the tables and start to reset them for the next day, but floors with a mop and ammonia? I know it was a holiday week and they were busy and overworked so I will probably give them another chance.

The service was good and attentive, and the food was equally impressive. We ordered the pork fried rice, which was very flavorful, along with fantastic spare ribs that were cooked perfectly. The shrimp lo mein and beef with broccoli were both delicious and generously portioned. There were only a few minor drawbacks: the tea was a bit weak, and the Chinese mustard lacked the kick I was expecting and I asked for Hotsauce and received those little packets, these were small issues in an otherwise excellent meal. If you're looking for quality Chinese food with a comfortable dine-in atmosphere, Chung Sing is a hidden gem that's well worth a visit. Highly recommended!

This is a very old school Chinese restaurant. We found the food to pretty good and the prices are very reasonable. They have a dinner special which is $38 for 2 people. With tax and tip, you are looking at around $47. You each get a soup, appetizer, share a main entree and ice cream. This past Saturday we ate there. We each had eggdrop wonton mixed soup. Standard soup, good, but nothing special. We had BBQ spareribs and Chicken Brochettes. Both were great. The Brochette are chunks of Chicken thigh meat grilled on a stick, marinated in some sort of red marinade. The BBQ ribs are chineses bbq ribs. The entre was called Happy Family. It was a monstrous platter of Chicken, Pork, Shrimp and the usual Chinese vegetables, in a brown sauce with a bunch of fried wontons on top. Very good. It also comes with a full order of Pork Fried Rice. Lastly, the pistachio ice cream we had was great. I wish they sold it in a pint to take home.
