Always a super good meal!! Can't go wrong with the Tokyo tower. I love the cozy ambience they have in this spot! The photo is after eating some already!

This place is so good! Staff is so friendly and attentive. And the sushi was incredible! Has a thin layer of rice and wonderful quality! Could not recommend this place more !

This is my favorite spot to get sushi! The Larry roll, the pad Thai, the salmon, the crab. Everything is always so good here. I've eaten here or taken it to go but this is our go to if you live in westchase/Oldsmar area.

The volcano roll was delicious! Also had krab rangoons and Adam bom roll with sashimi all soooo fresh! Excellent service. Attentive staff. Ambiance just right with classical music not too loud. Will definitely return.

Thank the good Lord above, we FINALLY found a good sushi restaurant in the area!! The chefs are all working so hard, our adorable waitress was so sweet (and pregnant, ready to have her baby she said), the food was not only fresh and delicious but so artistic and plated with such care. I really really enjoyed my meal and this is now our GO-TO!!!!

Beautiful presentation of the ginger salad and tasty!

Wow, what a wonderful surprise! I like to think of myself as a bit of a sushi snob and I've been to several spots in the Tampa Bay Area, hot tuna, soho sushi, etc. Oishi is the best sushi I have ever had! Everything was fresh and curated beautifully! To those folks reviews complaining about waiting... Good things take time...Great things take a little longer! My new favorite sushi spot!

Oishi Sushi & Thai of Oldsmar has moved into Tampa and is finally open for business!!! Conveniently located on W. Hillsborough Ave, in the new plaza next to Racetrac, nestled between Ocean Nails and Tropical Smoothie. This stylish new restaurant is run by the same awesome staff, still offering their classic sushi menu and some quintessential Thai dishes. As always they are allergy friendly and are able to prepare most things Gluten Free by request! During my comeback visit, my friend and I shared edamame and ordered Bento Boxes, with Miso soups and salads. Bento Box 8 included crab stick salad, rainbow roll, three pieces of sushi and half a California roll. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful and was portioned perfectly for our hungry tummies. Oishi picked right back up where they left off.

Best sushi restaurant place! Have tried just about everything on the menu and I would recommend. Sometimes we just let the chef make whatever they think we'd like and it's the best experience. We bring out of town people here and frequent guests n the regular. Fresh ingredients and delicious food.

The service here was amazing the two girls running the floor were very attentive and observant. The dining room itself was very clean this is a new restaurant and they're definitely taking care of it. The freshness of my sushi was definitely there. Although I wish the salmon skin had been fried a little longer. The components of the sushi roll I really enjoyed but especially having been a sushi chef in the past I'll say the rice definitely needs some tweaking. I enjoyed eating the sushi the next day more than I did eating it at the actual restaurant. I'll definitely come back to try the sushi again in a few months. The location is very close to my home. We'll see how it does the 2nd Time around

Our son recommended Oisihi highly and I have to say he was right. The food was absolutely delicious! The Brandon roll is to die for and the nigiri was so fresh and bright. Truly a delight for the palate. The staff was a pleasure to deal with and very attentive. The atmosphere was very nice, clean and contemporary.

Mex and Cali roll. Super fresh and the presentation was all on point.

This place was very clean and cozy. The service was wonderful and the food spectacular. Sushi was super fresh. Loved the soup and the salad combo. The dressing for the salad was amazing. I would recommend this place. It was a 10/10

Had dinner last night at a newer sushi/Thai location on the out skirts of Oldsmar. The food was great just took a really long time to prepare. I know rolls are made to order and no one wants it done incorrectly so just know you'll need to wait. I had a Tom Yum with shrimp. I was asked if I wanted it mild or medium. I said in between figuring a nice little kick. HOLY HELL is was hot. Next time mild, but still very tasty. I opted for dinner #5 which comes with sashimi, 2 rolls and soup and salad (skipped the miso to pay for Tom yum). There are 5 different selections to choose from. I chose number 5 which came with 8 pieces of sashimi (2 each) and 6 pieces each of the 2 specialty rolls. The Buc-an-Roll was amazing as was all the rest. I'd def order take out. By the time I drive there for pick up my food should be ready lol

Keywest Roll - spicy conch, cucumber Fresh Salmon Roll - Fresh salmon, cucumber topped with fresh salmon
    Simon I.

Oishi Sushi Bar has a clean and quiet atmosphere to enjoy decent sushi and thai dishes. Their menu range from appetizers, soups, salads, sushi, don bowls, bento boxes, to thai curry. My first visit was on a Sunday afternoon and the service was slow and the wait staff seemed a bit uninterested being there. I noticed that one of the wait staff also was making the sushi I ordered, though she didn't seem to the usual sushi chef there. The crispy tofu came out very lightly warm and seemed to have been thawed out and hurriedly prepped. This affected the taste and the usual expected crisp was missing from these 'crispy' tofu. The bento box had a very nice variety of different items just in the right portions for a bento box. The pad thai tasted quite nice, while the nigiri didn't taste as fresh as could have been. However, the presentation of the bento box was very pleasing to the eye. The Keywest roll with spicy conch was my most favorite here. The crunchy and spicy conch add a very tasty combination of flavors with cucumber and sushi rice. I could have had two rolls of these. The Fresh Salmon roll has double layers of fresh salmon (inside as well on top). Although this roll came recommended by some of my other yelp friends, unfortunately the salmon in this roll didn't taste very fresh to me. Though the taste wasn't terrible, but salmon tasted a bit 'un-fresh'. I will return to Oishi again to try some of their thai dishes and have their Keywest roll again.

A friend and I ordered the Japanese curry and short ribs, and both were disappointing. The portions were surprisingly small, and the curry tasted like a generic TV dinner that had just been warmed up. For the price, I expected much better. We actually ended up going next door to GrillSmith afterward because we were still hungry, which says a lot. That said, the wine selection was excellent, and the staff was very knowledgeable. If you're just looking for a great place to enjoy wine, this might be worth a visit. But if you're hoping for a full dining experience, I'd say skip the food and go elsewhere.

Paired with Malbec. 2 골수 Bone Marrow - Not many places serve this dish in Tampa! The exquisite fatty flavors are emphasized by the fresh herbs used. A must-try. 3 Chicken Skewers - The plump, glossy bites of heaven are dark meat, fatty, glazed and tender. The tangy and slightly spicy sauce matches well with the fatty meat. Paired with Reisling. 4 명태전 Pollack Joen - Fried egg washed fritters, served with a side salad. A very popular dish in Korea. Sometimes whole restaurants just serve various joen as their main menu. Paired with Gruner. 5 불구기 쌈 Bulgogi Ssam - Premade lettuce wraps with just the perfect amount of toppings and sauces, as the chef intended. Paired with white burgundy. 6 카레 Korean Curry - Some say it tastes similar to the popular Japanese curry, but this curry is definitely in it's own category of yummy. As the only Asian food specialist that has written about specifically Korean cuisine and visted Korea multiple times, can speak, read, and write in Hangul --- Migak is my favorite Korean restaurant in Tampa Bay hands down.
