I've been coming to this nail salon for almost a year now, and I absolutely love it! There's always someone available, and no matter who I see, they always do an incredible job. I usually get acrylics with a design, and I'm impressed every time. I like to bring an inspiration photo, and they always nail it--pun intended! For pedicures, I highly recommend Andy. He gives the best massages, especially if you're on your feet a lot or enjoy a deep tissue massage. He's amazing and so kind! I've been here 4 times. First 2 were pleasant and that was it! The last two, I had "Gladys" and was very unimpressed. Last time she went well over and onto my cuticle with the gel solution causing unnecessary pain & discomfort because my skin was literally fused in with the gel nail. And during the work, she would pull and yank at my hand all while sighing as if I was disturbing her peace. I even audibly said "excuse me" and at that point she got the hint. While drilling with a coarse drill bit, she went aggressive with it hurting me to the point that I pulled my hand back. This time, she didn't even polish my nails properly at all. I will provide pictures. On top of that, she didn't even attempt to make them look as though they grew out of my nail beds. Closer to the tips are grossly fat. There was an air pocket between my pinky that I brought to her attention and she basically dismissed it as though it's all in my head OR she truly didn't care?! I had to ask her to paint my tips because last time she didn't and my nails started splitting from the polish. Here's where it gets interesting, the kicker... because one of the gel nails came off (NOT my real & long nail), my real nail was there- she charged me TWO dollars for that nail because her fake overlay was no longer there. She used NO PRODUCT of her own that she wouldn't use otherwise. The brush is wet with the same liquid to powder ratio that it would have been. And even when I questioned it because it was a sneaky move she kept mumbling something repetitive and at that point, I decided I was done with her, I paid and left far more than what she deserved. I wanted to get dip powder on my natural nails and not get a full set. the lady doing my nails told me it's not going to work and that dip only works after applying a full set. mind you it was my first time getting dip nails. another customer sitting next to me getting her nails done had dip powder on her natural nails. when I told the lady doing my nails you can get dip powder on the natural nail cause the girl next to me got it she said ok next time. I go to this spa to get a no chip manicure. They do a nice job. Owner is very nice, and I just love Lily. I have had also pedicures. They do a $30.00 basic pedicure, but there are more elaborate ones, if you want them also. I would highly recommend this spa. Highly recommended. Grand nail has been my go-to spot for the past 8 years. I have been a faithful client since Shirley and her daughter owned the joint and now that it's under new management, it's only getting better. The owners are wonderful, all the nail techs are very friendly, attentive and welcoming. They have renovated the place, all new chairs, decor and variety of colors. Called in advance to schedule an appointment for fill in and no chip mani. I was quoted 75 total. I arrive and after my services I was told my cost was 82! I asked why and they changed the price and told me i had to pay an extra 2 for cutting down my nails. Since when??? New fee to me and wasn't mentioned on the phone. Not to mention the woman who did my pedi was horrible and tried to speed up the process for the next person. I normally tip well, but never again! quality of work for the prices they want are insane. Old owners may have been a slight bit rude but these ones are charging an arm and a leg for shit work- I've gotten nails done there a few times since new owners came to. They always turned out like garbage. Thick, different fingers with different shapes. They rush through your nails and get annoyed when you politely ask to file them or shape them in the way you want after they mess them up. Also, used to get my eyebrows done there every two weeks. Would usually get the same girl, she did fine. One week they put me with a lady who had previously screwed up my nails. She's a bit older. I was hesitant but owners assured me she had experience. I asked her for a clean up, as I don't like my eyebrows super thin. Felt it was a simple request and you could see the grow out versus the part of the hair I didn't want touched. When I looked in the mirror she had taken off a majority of my left eyebrow and my right one was thick. I wish I had a picture of it because I immediately panicked and went off. Who does that to a customer when I specifically asked for a clean up. They do what they want and push designs and extra services on you to make a greater tip. They are under new management and it shows. I've been coming to this place while Shirley owned it for a good 10 years and before that, I went to her previous shop. I made an appt and my daughter and I still sat in a pedi bowl full of cold water for an hour and a half. As I'm typing this, I am still waiting for my daughter's nails to be done. They had the audacity to rush me to pay as if I'm going to run out of the shop when they haven't even finished my daughter's nails. This will be the last dime they get from us. well, yesterday was my 3rd visit,my first 2 visits were amazing,but yesterday on August 30th, Wednesday,at 4:30 pm I went in with my young family member to get my nails and toes done and she got her nails done,my nail tech also did my toes,she was super aggressive, I have been in the beauty market for a whole 5 years now AKA (nails and hair salons costumer) and I have never encountered such an aggressive nail tech in my life,she literally took about 50 minutes to do my toes and it looks naturally off,my nails are AWEFUL AND DISGUSTING is an understatement,she said she will charge me 102$ for both my nails and toes and I ended up paying 5$ more without even me knowing why,my nails are super thick,the color is so bad,and the shape isn't even what someone would pay 100$ for,it still hurts me and it's the second day,she ruined my birthday vibe,and while I was doing my nails,she kept pulling and pushing so aggressively and she was making fun of us in her language (Ive paid attention to her body language and her looks) 1 star is so much on her and I definitely not going ever again.even my younger family member paid 70$ for a simple French set! I walked in to the salon. There was someone by the register, didn't Acknowledge me didn't say hi. At first it seemed pretty full but then I really glanced around and it was mostly all employees just sitting around. Still no one says anything but they are staring at me . Awkward! Then one employee walks up behind me to look at a shelf of nail polish and I said excuse me 2 times before she even looked at me . And said what do you need and I told her and she said too many people, no wait ? And then proceeded to walk away. I was like huh ? I just left . Pretty place inside and can't speak for their work, but terrible rude customer service. read more
