I just want to start off by explaining how moving the view is and that it's worth going even for a drink while you stare at the rocks the entire time. It's a sight that I will always remember. Regarding the food, I ordered the salmon because it came with crab rice--an exceptional touch to the dish and something I have not tried before. In addition, I highly recommend this light wine.

THE VIEW WAS STUNNING! The mountains were melting all my stresses away and finally helped me relax. We asked to sit outside since the inside was so quiet and I'm so glad we did because the sunset view was so beautiful. All the food was flavorful and delicious we ended up coming back the next day for lunch. We tried the tenderloin and brownie for dinner. The steak frites and cheesecake for lunch. My only critique is the temp of the steak kept coming out different. We asked for medium rare and received well done. Then brought our friends the next day and asked for medium rare and received rare and another friend received well done. It's hit or miss with the temperature. All of the staff was so wonderful and helpful!

Honest dine in review: Come well dressed, and look like you can pay the bill... but also, please enjoy the view as the Garden of the Gods in the background is amazing with a bite... even if it's mid. 1.5/5 I just finished enjoying a relaxing day at the Spa in Manitou and arrived in comfortable clothes to walk in to this dining establishment. Had a hat on which I was asked to remove (understandable), yet there was someone eating in a hat? Service was extremely slow, and while others were asked if they wanted dessert, I was given a check when I wasn't finished with my meal and told there would be no rush. Short, and simply put... dress nice or be a member of the establishment otherwise... you may have a similar experience. Might be worth the view, I wouldn't go back. -Cubano: 1/5 As you'll see in the picture. It's a small sandwich, dry, not enough Dijon sauce, extremely dry for the pork which tasted more like dry tuna, and seemed very underwhelming... However, the homemade pickles were good! This is a new addition to the menu and it felt as if it was trying to be something it wasn't... fries were good and accompanied by a small amount of ketchup. For $20+ and a $6 Arnold Palmer, this combination left you wanting more unfortunately. 1 star for the view as it's divine, and I'll be generous and share another star for the whole experience as it was underwhelming, and felt as if I should've worn a suit to have received better treatment...

Breakfast burrito was just okay for the price

We really enjoyed our experience at Grand View restaurant. The place is definitely aptly named as the views are spectacular. We came for brunch and the food was pretty good, but not necessarily worth it for the price. I tried the breakfast burrito and my sister tried the eggs Benedict. Both were pretty good but not anything particularly noteworthy. The service was friendly but the kitchen was a bit slow (it took about 25 minutes for our burrito and Benedict to come out). We didn't complain though because we got to sip cocktails and take in the view. I guess overall, it's a great place to experience for a nice view and decent food, just expect to pay a bit more than you'd expect and accept that the food won't knock your socks off.

First, can I just say that the view at Grand View is absolutely beautiful. I mean, it really is a grand view (I included a picture of me in front of the view haha)!! It is so pretty we even witnessed an engagement! Magical doesn't describe it! Anyways... let's get onto the food and drinks. The drinks are as extravagant as the interior. They smoke the old fashions and use really pretty garnishes. They're really good and the bartenders are really kind and have great personalities. I will say, the only problem was that we didn't put in our food order for about 15 to 20 minutes after getting drinks. They're busy, but that is one thing to keep in mind! We sat at the bar for context. Either way, we enjoyed the bartenders and weren't too bothered! I think the main reason this is 4 stars versus 5 is the price of the food and the portions. I know this is at a resort and is quite fancy, but $34 for pea risotto (with no meat) is crazy. I make risotto at home and you can make at least 4 portions of this for that price on your own time. The pork belly was also dry. But the pesto was fantastic on the chicken pesto pasta. And the German chocolate tart was very decadent! I just feel like the pricing is a bit much for what you receive. But it does taste good. Anyways... I thought it was very nice! You're paying for the ambiance and drinks more than the food. But it was all beautifully presented and with great company, it was a perfect night.

Amazing view. Mussel and Filet mignon were excellent. The mashed potato went perfectly with the filet. Other dishes were ok, but the lettuce in salad was very dry and we couldn't finish. The impression on food is mixed, but the view alone is worth to visit.

Beautiful venue, excellent service, and delicious food. Went there to celebrate my niece's graduation and had such amazing time there. Our server was excellent, friendly, funny, and attentive. The views are breathtaking. The food and desserts delicious. This place is recommended for a celebration and/or a date.

My partner and I came in for sunset date night recently and were very pleased with our time here! The staff was able to accommodate an earlier reservation for us which was very kind. We were seated promptly and had excellent service the whole night from our server Sammy (Sami?)! The views are truly incredible and I felt fortunate they placed us near the windows so we could have a front row view of the sunset. I enjoyed everything I ate- the bread started, Caesar salad and chicken parm. And zero complaints about the cheesecake and bread pudding desserts! I definitely recommend trying this spot and I would love to return in the future

The three stars is for the view, server and the complimentary bread. The actual courses we ordered were not great for the price. My husband ordered the roasted chicken and we give that dish 0 stars. The taste just wasn't great. We actually sent it back and the server offered another dish or free dessert but my husband had lost his appetite from his two bites of chicken. I will say the views were so amazing, it's a shame the food didn't match up.

Rotini Alla Vodka ($25). I didn't try this, but I noticed this had the same volume of pasta as the kid's pasta dish. Tue lunch 2024-04-09

Tons of reservations available. Made for 6 people at 11am on a Tuesday, booked the night before. Service was professional and patient with our two little kids. Our server had children of her own and was great with ours. Family friendly in the sense that they do have a kid's menu, but there were no other kids there, and no coloring activities available. Not surprised given the slightly more formal nature of this restaurant. $194.46 total including tax/tip for 3 drinks, 4 entrees, 1 side, and 2 kid's entrees. Pricey for ok food, but you're paying for the view which was indeed gorgeous. * Chopped Cobb Salad ($17) - 4 stars Ample blue cheese, ranch, and bacon. Could have used a little more lettuce as it was pretty intense. * Sauteed Trout ($34) - 3.5 stars The yucca root purree and spiced sunburst squash were amazing. The trout was well done, and personally I like mine a little pink in the middle, and I couldn't really taste the chili-lime glaze. * Kid's Rotini/Hot Dog ($10/$12) - 3 stars Very basic meals; the hot dog and bun were quite big. * Rotini Alla Vodka ($25) No rating as I didn't try this, but just noting that this dish had the exact same volume of pasta as the $10 Kid's Rotini. Of course, this had nicer toppings, but perhaps not fifteen dollar's more of toppings.

This meal was completely unforgettable! We were lucky enough to snag a table outside with the stunning views of Garden of the Gods at sunset. I didn't expect the food to be good, given that it doesn't have to be to bring in tourists with the view it has, but it was spectacular. The pasta Provençal blew my mind: the noodles were made from scratch, and the tomatoes marinated in tremendous garlic, butter and seasoning. The filet mignon was also perfectly cooked and hardly needed a butter knife to cut. Cocktail and wine menu are extensive as is the dessert menu. Service was excellent: staff cared a lot that we were happy and enjoying ourselves.

If you're sitting at the bar you can see the window where your food comes up -- our salad and fries both sat there about ten minutes before anyone brought them the ten feet over to us. Not a huge deal, but it's a little cruddy sitting there thinking "I'm pretty sure that's ours" and waiting. The ambiance is very dark, with a lot of stairs up and down -- you head into sort of a basement-type area. Everything I saw was clean and nice. It's a cool, funky spot to take a date or hit for happy hour, so the vibe and ambiance are definitely spot on for that. Signature cocktails -- all fine. Not the best thing ever, but solid. I'd have them again. Side salad -- good. The ranch is made in house and very flavorful, and the salad was actually loaded with veggies. French fries with garlic aioli -- a bit of a letdown. We didn't even finish them. They came out okay, just a little dry, and the aioli itself wasn't very good -- we didn't really like it. Pro tip: The entrées looked pricey, which is why we stuck to snacking at the bar -- and after the fries came out, we were fine calling it there and eating elsewhere. Overall, would recommend for happy hour, and would return.
