I hate to leave a bad review because I really want small local businesses to succeed; but what I've received from here was just too disappointing to forget. We're traveling through Columbus and ordered delivery to our hotel. We ordered a large pizza with olives. The crust had great potential but it was completely burnt and the sauce just had terrible flavor. My husband ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sub and the bread was burnt and crusty and the chicken was dry and tasted old. My 2 year old, who eats ALL pizza, wouldn't even touch it after her first bite. I really wish we would have gone with a different restaurant. read more

Granddads' pizza, not really sure if this Granddads' old pizza joint, but sure looks like it. Honestly I have never got anything from them unless I was at Byrnes. I have never had a problem with raw pizza from them. It's always been pretty much done just right. The sauce mixed with beer is not a good combo when waking up in the morning. Good quality cheese and toppings, and the crust isn't too thick which I like. Sauce is slightly sweet. They're also very friendly there. Once, they messed something up with my order, but they fixed it quickly and gave me the whole order free. I couldn't believe it. I've always loved Grandad's but they hit it out of the park tonight. Asked if they could deliver to our pool and they said absolutely without hesitating. When we got there, found out the pizza had arrived early (which is great!) but that someone at the pool had accepted the pizza and said it was theirs. When we called to tell them that our pizza was unfortunately stolen, they were really accommodating and immediately sent out the same order without asking us to pay again. I'm new to the area and saw this place had pretty good reviews. I ordered a large pizza and had it delivered through grub hub. Delivery was quick and easy. The pizza was great. They sliced it in squares as opposed to the traditional pizza triangle piece, which I thought I would hate, but actually really enjoyed! I can only comment on the pizza, because it was so good that I've stuck to getting just that since I started eating their food. Normally when I want pizza, I go for Tommy's on Lane Ave, because I simply love their food, but for a change of pace, or when I just don't want to drive, I go for Grandad's pizza because it's every bit as good, and they deliver. The crust is crunchier than Tommy's, with a sweeter sauce taste, and the toppings are delicious and plentiful. It makes for a nice change of pace. read more

Always loved their pizza, but so disappointed in the new Hilliard location off Truman Boulevard. It was a HORRIBLE experience! Took over an hour to get our food - we're pretty sure the waitress only submitted half of the order. After she realized the mistake, she almost avoided us, just pretended we weren't there anymore. Never came back to refresh drinks - no salt, pepper, ketchup or napkins. Had to go up to the counter and find her when it was time to pay. We'll just have to keep getting our fix in Grandview, bc this location is a hot mess. read more

Pretty damn good. Can't go wrong with the service at Byrne's Pub, the food is consistently delicious. I had an incident where they goofed up my delivery order but they refunded my purchase and still delivered my missing food on another occasion. They serve up a cracker crust, use medium quality ingredients, and the sauce is nothing too crazy but, if you're looking for consistently awesome service and consistent pizza, this is the place. Awesome place. Got two Italian subs for a great price and they were both awesome. Workers are laid back and friendly. Got a little worried it was just going to be "bar food" since it's in the same building as Bryne's, but it was great. Wow, what a disappointment. I used to love Grandad's, and tonight was craving it bad. I guess since the last time I ordered it, about 6 or 8 months ago, something has changed. Ordered a 12" meat lovers 6 wings hot and 6 garlic Parmesan. The crust tasted worse than cardboard, the toppings were average, and the wings were wet, oily, and just overall gross. The sauces tasted terrible. Nothing ruins the night like craving something and it turning out terrible. I used to order pretty regularly and they were consistent but this was so gross I won't bother giving it another try. read more

I have been gluten free for almost 15 years and have tried to find a decent gf pizza whether frozen or fresh. I had my first Grandad's gf pepperoni pizza a few months ago and couldn't believe how good it was. It is now my dream/go-to pizza! I HIGHLY recommend it, you will not get better gluten free pizza ANYWHERE!! And if you aren't gf, the regular pizza is amazing too, according to family and friends. Absolute garbage. Grandad's Pizza made me violently ill within hours after eating it. I order the taco pizza and it didn't even come with half the toppings that was listed on their menu. The pizza I ordered came with taco sauce, burnt cheese, a couple pieces of taco meat (dried up sausage) and a crazy amount of jalapeños.... how can anybody mess up a pizza this bad?... it's pizza. We have a business and we use Grandad's all the time but, they seem to mess up on our order every time. It is a real pain when we have to call to tell them our food is messed up every single time we order. You would think they would one day get the picture that they just mess up every order and instead of being rude about it make it right. To top it off, they take a long time for delivery, then treat you horrible when you complain about it. Never again will I make the mistake of ordering from this pizza establishment. This establishment charged me for a pizza I never received. I didn't have transportation which is why I paid in advance for delivery. The apparently overwhelmed driver could not find my apartment, even though I gave directions. Ridiculous. When I discussed this with the manager, he claimed that it was my problem to get the pizza. I have been a customer since moving to Grandview a few years ago, but just this past weekend I discovered that my apartment is exactly a 15 minute walk from your restaurant. That happens to be the average time it takes my medium pie to be ready, and also the amount of time it takes me to shove the entire thing into my face before returning home. I used to love this pizza. I would get cravings for it. But they have changed over the past year or so. The crust,while thin, is flavorless. Toppings are very bland. If you don't order extra cheese it is as if there is no cheese. If you do order extra cheese, it comes burnt. I called to complain about the burnt cheese was told they didn't have time to talk to me about it and to "call back some other time." I miss the old Grandad's. read more
